Connor was also in the training room, trying to teach his Torchic, Mirror Move. Unfortunately, it wasn't going so well, the fire type failing to replicate Asura's Confusion. "You need to focus. Otherwise it isn't going to-" Connor paused, the sound of someone groaning catching his attention. Seeing the source of the noise, he chose to ignore it, especially since he seemed to want Sub's attention anyway.

"Having trouble over there, Connor?" Sub asked the boy as he noticed his failed attempt at getting his Torchic to mirror a Confusion attack, he knew a thing or two about Mirror Move himself, having taught Nevermore it. "Eh? What's that?" He mumbled to himself as he heard the moan, looking for the source.

Crawling beside Sub and nudging his foot, Reno began to moan again. It seemed like the only sound he could manage at this point without pain lancing through his body. Hopefully, Sub would look down to his damaged subordinate.

With the matter with Tails under wraps, for now that is, I still had one other worry that I wasn't quite sure on how to handle. It was one thing with Tails's memories and his anxiousness to take more part in the team's dealings; Tristen was still a concern of mine. I'm really not sure on how to go about this; I've already told him several times about the issue in the past, but he never truly got it. I guess he doesn't know what he's doing wrong exactly, and the problem is, I can't really point it out that well until perhaps something happens, and worse still, I'm hoping nothing bad comes of it ever...and I know my luck is horrible when I hope for something.

In the meantime, I needed to figure out my next course of action. I was filled in as to what happened over in the Orre Region recently. That name...Gonzap...I remembered it was a guy leading a bunch of thugs...though compared to most groups of the time, like compared to Team Rocket or Team Aqua or perhaps even Galactic, his was generally small time, though as compared to most groups, his operation was more simple than the rest; though probably because his guys lived out in a general hellhole while everyone else had cities, people, and well...for the most part, Pokemon coming out of every patch of grass. Coming up with a device to steal Pokemon from the people who even dared out in that region was basically the equivalent to a gold mine. For a name like that to spring up actually left me to wonder a little...perhaps I needed to go out on an excursion at one point.

As I waited for my opportunity, I was in the training room with my Gallade and Gardevoir, Psy and Telia respectively. It didn't hurt to get a bit of training in, after all.

As often he did when Blizz, Freth or Tristen were in the training room, Tails sat at the sidelines to watch. Circling him was his Castform, whose sunny husk waxed and waned with no seeming rhythm as it circled Tails' head. The little cloudling was was oblivious to the training of Psy and Telia, but Tails' brow was furrowed with concentration on both Pokemon and with the chi he gave off. Knowing Sunny Day might one day be useful but for now, all he could manage was a wavering field of muggy warmth.

As I continued to train, I looked back...I kind of hated that I was leaving Tails out of it for the time being. You know...perhaps it was high time that I made good on what I said. "Hey Tails." I spoke up. "You ready to get started on what we were talking about?"

"Oh huh?"

This snapped Tails out of his muse and Castform's sun melted away. Then, with a squeal, it began to circle Blizz's head.

"You mean we're going to Hyda now?" the boy said.

"I was actually referring learning Confuse ray." I said to him, rubbing the back of my head. I wasn't set to get to Hyda yet.

"Oh," said Tails, pleasantly. His ears perked nonetheless. Confuse ray was one of Miles' tricks. In fact, he remembered Miles did a lot of tricky stuff with his eyes. They glowed purple, cyan, and he could have sworn he saw red or black on rare occasions.

He couldn't help grinning.

"Now remember, no abusing this . You use it when you got to. Okay? I can't state that enough." I said to him.

Tails nodded, but kept grinning. "I'm sorry, Blizz," he said. "I'm just remembering how Miles abused it is all."

At least when he said it, it didn't sound calculated.

"Yea...tell me about it..." I said rubbing the back of my head. "Alright...now, the thing about Confuse Ray, it isn't just a simple burst of celestial chi and you make someone dance to your whims. The thing of it, there's a lot to it. Your chi has to be strong enough and manipulated in such a way that it can overcome someone's mental processes. Otherwise, you'll at the very least just make them dizzy. Kind of like when Night gets me under her Confuse Ray. It's...weird." I said, thinking back to those times. One might as well have strapped a pair of beer goggles just for the same effect to my head. "If you can really pry into someone's head, then you can make them hallucinate, feel, taste, and hear things that isn't there, or something completely else." I said. "It takes more control of chi than some are willing to give it credit for."

"Are you saying I could make someone so confused, they could think my Muk is a giii-ant Mega Muk?" Tails asked, and this did not help his grin situation at all. "What did Night do to you with her Confuse Ray? Make you feel like she felt on one of her worst drinking nights?"

"Pretty much on both accounts." I said. "This is going to take a lot of practice to pull off...and to get an idea as to what you're looking for..." I said, tossing out one more Pokeball. "Rotom..."

The Pokeball popped open and out came the rather eccentric Rotom. "Toooom!"

"Psy, mind coming here for a moment?"

"Gallade!?" Psy spoke up, shaking his head no. He knew very well what was apparently to come.

"Psy, it isn't like a battle or anything, and I'll be sure to deal with it in a few seconds. This is just to give Tails an idea as to what to go for in teaching the attack." I said.

"Gallade lade!" He then spoke up, pointing towards Telia.

"VOIR!? Gardevoir!" A verbal argument ensued between the two Pokemon, things about being scared torchic and who is better at what, leaving me unable to help myself burying my face in my hand.

"WILL YOU TWO STOP!?" The two froze up instantly. "Seriously...siblings...now Psy, like I said, this will only be a few seconds and that'd be it, now come here." I said. He then gave a hard sigh and stepped forward.

The argument between the two Pokemon left Tails' ears twitching. He was not used to such colorful language among Pokemon, and decided it might have been a trait they picked up from trainers. Still, this left the boy eager and Castform drifted away from Blizz's head to better watch.

"So whatcha doing?" Tails asked. "It's gotta be pretty rough if Psy's afraid of it."

This only sounded like accidental wording, but even Tails could play a poker face when it didn't involve Muk.
