Darn, another disappointing evening. She rolled her eyes at Powell, and smirked.
"Thanks dweeb," She ruffles his hair as she flies up out of reach. "But I prefer real action over something on the boob tube."
She shrugged,
"I better get to my own dorm. Besides I haven't even met my own new room mate yet!"

*Chris hid his disappointment from Karen.*
Okay...night.
*He changed into his armor and dropped from the roof. Chris changed into some boxers and a t-shirt after going into his room. He turned on the MP3 player and stared at the ceiling, wondering when he would get over Cassie.*

"Night."
She called down softly as she made her way across campus back to the girls dorm.
Opening the door slowly she crept in quickly changing into short-shorts and a tank then hopping into bed. and hugging her purple push elephant.
She hoped to finally meet her room mate in the morning. heart
Sniffing the air, she mumbles to herself.
"Mmmm the fresh scent of pine."
Then falls a sleep.

Jen opened her door tenderly holding the large pizza box in her hand. She had the munchies during her study while she waited for her room mate. She saw the rumbled covers and a tall blond girl curled up in bed.
'So that's Karen huh?' Jen wondered as she opened up the triple cheese meat deluxe. She grabbed her Math book and began pouring over the algebra. Nothing like eating while tackling the more difficult part of mathematics. She threw off her shoes and chucked them in her corner. She checked the clock it was quite late but since tomorrow was Sunday and she had no real plans then she could study till she fell asleep.

*Chris woke up on Sunday the 11th early enough to hit the cafeteria and still avoid the football and cheerleaders. They always slept late when they could...except Cassie, who would wake up early sometimes to get a jump on homework.
Chris gathered enough food for a small army. He had woken up starving and he needed fuel for training at Murdock's dojo. As he stuffed some toast in his mouth, Chris wondered if Mr. Rogers saw the news story about those baddies from last night. Chris thought they did a decent job of wrapping those guys up. No one got hurt and they were all captured....except the people in the jet. No one was perfect.*

After enjoying an incredible Chinese delivered dinner, gorging himself on sweet and sour chicken, Kobari beef and countless eggrolls, a satisfied Billy Kaplan took the opportunity to run up to his bedroom for a little sanctuary. His parents were beginning a little karaoke between themselves and the embarrassment of sitting there while his folks belted out a few tunes was not on his list of priorities.
Now if only he knew a sound proofing spell for his door, he wouldn't have to hear it either -- but that probably wouldn't sit too well with the `rents anyway. Besides, he wanted to email Teddy away from prying eyes.
He missed Teddy. Maybe he had taken his company at school for granted but now that he was on holiday break for Hanukkah, he realized his boyfriend's company really did mean a lot.
He picked up his cell and flopped back onto his bed and started to type;
"Hi Teddy, what are you wearing? j/k I wanted to see how you were doing and my parents wanted to know if you were coming for break. Is your mom coming too if so? I also thought you could see if Hartley and Wallace got my invite and were coming. Let me know and maybe give me a call? Miss you! Billy"

Cassie woke up the next day in her room. She decided not to go back to Aspen just yet... since Linda was in the infirmary and there was the dance. She had called up Kori.
" Hey Kori, sorry I'm not with you guys... Linda got hurt so I wanna make sure first that she's okay. Also the Snow Ball's coming up... I'm sure you guys will come back to school for that. Anyways see yah!"
With that Cassie went over to her computer to catch up on some homework. She wondered if Dani would want to go shopping for the dance with her or if she should call up Wally and make sure he even wanted to go to the dance or check up on Achilles and Patroclus...

FLASHBACK FOR FUNSIES...doncha luv `em!?
A police officer stepped into Blackhawks and approached the teens seated in the large booth.
The cop said, "Do any of you kids know who's car that is that's parked halfway on top of the other car? We had reports of it just now, driving down a one-way street, cutting through the lobby of the First National Bank, crashing through the fence of an alley, driving on the curbs, doing quite a bit of damage at the Farmer's Market and street fair, and now... **motions with his hand outside**...this."
Achilles and Patroclus put on (or tried to) their very best 'innocent' faces, looking in the air or everywhere but at Cassie or the officer.
Achilles subtly leaned over to his sister's side and whispered, "I had a little trouble with the chariot on the way here..."

*Chris had moved on to Murdock's dojo and was working the heavy bag over while he thought on this Snow Ball thing. Cassie was sure to go with Wally...maybe he shouldn't go. He'd just be miserable.
But...why should he let them stop him from going? Shouldn't he have fun too? Dancing with good looking girls and such. But who could he ask? Dani was really just a friend. Same with Karen. Chris bet that Lisa would go with him in a second but that would be uncomfortable. Maybe that new girl...Jen.
Steve Rogers had come in to watch Chris while the boy was lost in thought. Clearing his throat, Mr. Rogers made Chris jump in surprise.*
After last night's rousing success, I thought it would be harder to sneak up on you.
Sorry. I was thinking about the dance.
I see. Just wanted to let you know that I was proud of you last night, Chris. You and your friends handled the Masters well.
Masters?
The Masters of Evil. Or one of their incarnations. I was also happy to see you could put aside your animosity for Mr. West.
That was for the fight. I needed him for Whirlwind.
Ah. Well, no one's perfect. Once again, great work. See you tomorrow.
*Chris finished up and went to shower over at the gym. It was nice to get praise from Captain America.*

Cassie finished up her homework and took a shower. She got changed into some fresh clothes and decided to go check on Linda in the medical center. She walked out towards the medical center on campus.
" I hope Linda's feeling better."

*Chris wasn't paying attention to where he was walking and bumped right into Cassie. He had been wondering how he track down Jen. He couldn't go around asking people if they saw a cute librarian girl around. Well he could but that would be weird. And then SMACK! He bounced off of Cassie and fell on his rear.*

Jen woke up in a pile of books and left over pizza.
"Urgh!" She shook it off and was annoyed at herself for not studying. It was hard to concentrate as She-Hulk. She guess that tomorrow she'd have to go as the meek little mouse instead.
Her room mate was still fast asleep and in the light Jen could make out what a gorgeous girl she was.
Jen grabbed her things and went for a shower. Maybe she could go out for a jog later to clear her head and get the pepperoni smell from her hair.

Cassie looked to see who it was that ran into her... His head was down so she couldn't see his face.
" Oh don't worry about it. It was my fault I've been kinda distracted lately."
Cassie gave him a hand up to see it was Chris....
" Chris... hi... I was just on my way to see Linda. She's been outta it since the whole Brainiac thing.."
Of course in the back of Cassie's mind she kept thinking about what Clark said... about Brainiac possibly coming back.
" Are you okay?"
Cassie remembered Chris wouldn't hang out with them after they stopped the bank robbery... She wasn't going to bring it up but she was worried.

The weather was brisk and cold this early in the morning, but it was perfect for an invigorating jog around the lakeside area of the campus. Ever since Patroclus had been returned to him, and following their evening battling the Masters and being reunited amidst friends, the two reunited soulmates had been sealed up in Achilles's dorm room and...
Well, you know!
But now the two young men ventured out to get some fresh air and then hit one of the local food places for a small (large) meal.
The lake on campus was frozen over, of course, but that didn't stop either Achilles or Patroclus from running through the snow and around the frozen waters.

*Chris avoided Cassie's eyes and stood up without her help. He could do this. Talk to Cassie like a normal person. Just no touching. Or eye looking. Or touching. Especially touching.*
