Jackie_Estacado I don't think I've ever heard that song Wally. I weep for your soul, which is obviously in dire needs of a Lennon infusion.

Well, I was considering jewelry, but maybe a nice pair of shoes...not like her closet doesn't alreadyhave about fifty pairs. rolleyes I go through shoes like tissue paper, and she makes me look like a tightwad in the footwear department, I swear!

That's the thing about Lennon, though. He was completely and utterly cool with everyone else's musical tastes, and was utterly up to trying anything. He helped pioneer some of the more alternative musical experiences ever.
Listen to Revolution #9 some time. It's a 9-minute art audio recreation of a Revolution.

His song, Rip It Up ~ Teddy, on the CD, Wonsaponatime, was covered by a Japanese rock band named, O.P. King. They added a small guitar solo in the middle I believe.

I just don't like his stuff as a matter of personal taste.

I doubt you've given most of his solo stuff enough of a listen to judge. Like hard rock? His song, Cold Turkey, about getting off Heroin, is haunting. Prefer spiritual catharsis? Listen to "Mother."
Enjoy something just plain tripped out and esoteric? "Across the Universe."

There are approximately 5 people in the world who haven't heard Lennon's peace protest chant "All we are saying is give peace a chance."

Also, I believe you're the one who talked about a cover of his song "Imagine" being so great...

I'll stick to Bowie for now, but you never know. Logan the answer to your question about Romita is that his name was on the marquee at the boxing match as who Jack Murdock was fighting the night he was killed. Damn lag.
