I read above that she had transferred captainness. Is she still around? She had always been very understanding of my whimsy.

Valentine's Day Contest!
So I thought to put up an surprise contest for Valentine's Day. Like I said in the post above, in Finland Valentine's is especially a day to celebrate friendship. So, I want you to share your heartwarming story about a friend of yours who have made you day special!
How to participate?
- Share a story how your friend has made your day special. It doesn't need that it has happened today but at some point.
- Post the story in here by Sunday 16th and I will then select one or two best stories who will get a surprise award!

i know it's passed the contest but i wanted to share anyway. i have such an awesome neighborhood full of friends. my husband was away with work when we got hit by a snow storm. i had to run to town and when i got back my driveway was cleared. i have no idea who did it. then we had some teens stop by late at night with a plate of sugar cookies for us. was very sweet of them. i absolutely love the people in this neighborhood. they all look out for each other.
