As Sayuri looked down at the little blue egg, a tear rolled down her face. It wasn't until now that she'd realised something. "Maybe....... Maybe if everyone took the time to appreciate and help what was around them, maybe then the world would be a better place......" And after some more thought, she added, "And every little life counts. Even that of a baby robin." Getting up, Sayuri walked over to the tree from where the precious bundle had fallen. Looking up, she put her back pack down on the ground and opened it up. Pulling out her blanket, she carefully wrapped the egg in it and put it down neatly on the top of all her items. After zipping the back up again, she put it on her back and looked up at the tree.
128 Strikes of Devination 1/14
As Sayuri scanned the tree, she noted all the places that she could use to rest and grab onto. It has been almost five years since she had last climbed a tree, and her previous experiance hadn't been what she'd really wanted. She was six years old. At that time, she'd always liked high places. She liked looking down on all the things around her. It was quite a nice way to examine what was around her too. But the best part of it was sitting up the top, knowing you had accomplished something, and the cold wind was always blowing in your face.
128 Strikes of Devination 2/14
Every since she had turned five, Sayuri had climbed her favourite tree. It was a big oak tree, one of the biggest ones. The elder had said that been in that same place, watching over the Main House since she was born. And Sayuri could tell. When ever she climbed the tree, a warm breeze seemed to hit her and guild her up, urging her on as she went higher and higher. Sayuri had really loved that tree. And it was because of that love that, one day, she decided to climb another tree. This tree was the tallest one, but was the hardest to grip because of its smooth, slim trunk.
128 Strikes of Devination 3/14
Quite a few kids had tried climbing it, but the highest anyone got was three metres before you either lost your grip or had cut yourself on it's sharp leaves. Sayuri had never like that tree. It always seemed to be mocking her, bragging about how no one had mangaed to climb higher then three metres. And if that was what pushed her to do the unthinkableshe didn't know, but before she knew it, her hands were trying to grip it's smooth, white trunk. But of course, Sayuri was determind to show this tree a piece of her mind, even if the other kids did think that she was crazy.
128 Strikes of Devination 4/14
So there she was, a crazy little girl climbing one of the meanest trees ever known to man kind. And she was enjoying it. Not the scenery, the wind in her face or the thought of accomplishing. What she was enjoying was showing the tree a piece of her mind. And a big piece at that. It took her three whole years to realise it, bit at that point, her ego had actually doubled in size. Maybe even more. And when a persons ego expands. There's going to be trouble. And lot's of it by the look of things.
128 Strikes of Devination 5/14
At this point, Sayuri had no idea just how high she had climbed. By listening closly to what the people below were saying, she'd probably reached the twelve metre point. And of course, by the following the laws of human nature, there was trouble. Whether it was the tree, her over confidence or she'd just lost her grip, Sayuri didn't know, because the next thing she saw was the whole world flashing infront of her. Whether it was her imagination or not, Sayuri swore she saw a face in the bark of the tree. And it was smirking. The face soon started laughing as Sayuri's whole world fell into oblivion.
128 Strikes of Devination 6/14
When Sayuri woke up a few hours later, her head was throbbing, and was made worse with the sound of her heart beat ringing through her whole body. Whatever food there was in her stomach curdled as she realised she couldn't feel anything in her left arm. Trying to get up, a jolt of pain that had originated from her left wrist shot through her body, making her cry out. A nurse quickly ran into the room checking to see who had called the alarm. When she realised that the little girl had woken up, she smiled and walked to the opposite corner of the cold white room. She pulled out a tray filled with fruit and two bottles of milk.
128 Strikes of Devination 7/14
Laying her head down, Sayuri sighed and told the nurse that she wasn't hungry. Because of her sore arm, she was forced to sleep on her back with a perfect view of the boring white roof. Bored, she then asked the nurse what had happened, who replied telling her that she had fallen from a tree twelve metres up. Just before any of the Shinobi could catch her, she had hit tried to get hold of the tree and failed, crashing her arm into one of the extenced branches, which was probably what broke it. Sayuri then hit her head on a branch which knocked her unconscious just before a female Shinobi caught her. The nurse said that for someone of her age, if she had actually hit the ground, she could've been paralysed for life.
128 Strikes of Devination 8/14
Realising just how lucky she was, Sayuri started crying. The nurse went and comforted her, staying clear of the broken arm. Still sobbing, Sayuri told her about the face she had seen on the tree before she broke her arm. The nurse replied telling her that it was probably just her wild imagination, and that tree's don't have faces. Knowing the nurse would never understand, Sayuri left a mental note to tell the ender when she got back home. Thinking about it, she asked the nurse when she would be discharged, which she replied with a wink and said in about one to two days. Even if her arm was put in a sling and cast, after hitting her head like that and getting knocked out for about seven hours, it would be bet if she stayed at the hospital and rested.
128 Strikes of Devination 9/14
Taking heed of the nurses words, Sayuri closed her eyes and asked if anyone had come to see her. Apparently, a few people including the elder had come, looking very worried, elder the most. Sayuri was happy with that. She knew elder would always be there looking out for her until the day he'd have to leave for the other world. The thought of elder made Sayuri burst into tears. The nurse, surprised with the girls sudden actions, gave her a motherly hug and asked her what was on her mind. When Sayuri told her, she smiled and said that everyone has to pass on sometime little one. No one lives forever. I bet your elder has a lot of friends he hasn't seen in ages, waiting for him there. He's old,and can't do the things you and me can without someone to help him. Think of it as a final rest that he deserves.
128 Strikes of Devination 10/14
The nurses words made Sayuri's water works calm down a bit, but she was still crying the ocassional sob. What the nurse said next made Sayuri stop crying then and there. The pretty little lady said that when elder does leave you, don't be sad about it. He'll go to a better place with all his lost companions. Not to mention how sad he'd be if he finds out that your were crying about him. Wouldn't he want you to live a good, strong life filled with lots of happiness instead of one filled with pain and tears? Sayuri nodded. She'd do anything to make elder happy. He was, after all, one of the only people who'd take the time to listen to her troubles and worries.
128 Strikes of Devination 11/14
With her fountain of tears finished, sleep quickly feel over Sayuri like a veil. She looked like an innocent little angel the way she was lieing there. It made the nurses heart flutter just looking at her adorable face. Pulling the bed sheets up to Sayuri's chin, the nurse quickly left the room to find an elderly man with a walking stick sitting in a chair in the corner of the waiting room. Recognising him as one of the girls previous visitors, she went up to him and told him that she had just woken up a few minutes ago and was now fast asleep. The old man let out a little sigh and smiled. Thinking about what the girl had just said, she asked the man if he was the one she called elder
128 Strikes of Devination 12/14
Surprised with her question, the old man quickly answered with a yes and asked her how she knew. The nurse quickly and quietly told him what the little angel had just said. A tear ran down the old man's cheek. He was quiet for some time and then asked the nurse if he could see her. The nurse thought about his request, weighing it in her mind, then replied with a yes. Helping the man up from his chair, she led him into the room. As the old man walked slowly on his walking stick towards Sayuri, he swayed. The nurse couldn't tell if it was because of his age or if he was over joyed to see her. As he stood by the little angel sleeping on the bed, he went close to her ear and whispered, "Grand daughter."
128 Strikes of Devination 13/14
As the old man stood hunched there, he wept. It was very quiet, and if the sun hadn't glistened on the small tears that rolled down his cheekc, she wouldn't have known he was crying in the first place.
It had been so long since the old man had wanted to call her that. Instead, he was forced to talk to her using her real name, Sayuri. His own precious daughter had died giving thid girl life, and her husband had gone insane. The old man knew that if he had told her he was one of her last living realatives, it would have hurt her more then it already did when he would pass away. Even Sango had agreed to the whole cherade.

Shouta re-entered the village once more, and realized he hadn't found a place to sleep. For so long, he'd always had to return to his room at hidden sound, he hadn't given any thought to finding a place to stay. For that matter, he hadn't put any thought into finding money, either. Things didn't look the best, and it was only his first night. Slowing to a walk, he tried to think of what to do about a place to stay for the night. Sure, he could just sleep outside, but he didn't really want to do that. If he stayed outside, he'd get messy. And if he got messy, quite a few of his 'helpless abandoned boy' routines wouldn't work nearly as well. Most pretty ladies didn't want some filthy street urchin groping their chest. Admittedly they didn't really want anyone grabbing their boobs, but if the boy looked presentable he could usually get away with it, especially if he made it look like an accident. So no, he didn't really want to sleep outside if he could avoid it. He knew there would be unsavory types that'd gladly take in a youth like him, but he had to wake up early, so he couldn't work tonight, at least. No, he had to find a compromise, someplace where he could just be by himself and his sister, without worrying about anyone else. So he looked for a hotel, hoping that if he found one, they'd pity a poor abandoned kid and let him stay for free, if even for one night. With luck, he'd be able to figure something out after that. If nothing else, maybe Ero-Sannin would be able to help him out. With proper payment, of course. But for now, he had to worry about the present. Thinking about it, he woke Lolita up and switched places with her. There was a better chance of someone pitying a little girl, most likely. (Starch Syrup Capture Field : 2/7)

Lolita yawned and looked around. She'd been enjoying a nice nap when Shouta woke her up, telling her he was leaving it to her to find them a place to sleep. Nodding, she saw a hotel, and tried to look as depressed and miserable as she could. It wasn't that hard, her and Shouta had had plenty to be miserable about through the years. So she hung her head low, and shuffled inside of the brightly-lit hotel. She didn't go fully inside, instead she just moved to the door and peered wistfully inside. She didn't stay in one place, she shuffled back and forth, stopping every few minutes to look in. Eventually, one of the people inside noticed her, and predictably they got annoyed first. They came out to chase her off, but paused when they saw how young she looked. She tried to look especially miserable, and it seemed to work. (Starch Syrup Capture Field: 3/7)

Although it seemed to be working, the person made no move to let her come inside. That was precisely as she'd expected, first they had to think about it, decide if they really wanted to bother with some kid. Then they had to think about it some more, if they had the money to spare. But finally, they seemed to give in, and gruffly told her to come inside. They said she could sleep in the lobby, they'd bring her something to eat in a moment. She muttered and stumbled over her thanks, it was important to not appear to energetic or lively, to maintain the illusion. She sat down on a nearby couch, folding her legs under her and huddling into a little ball. All part of the illusion. A short time later, and the person came back with a plate of sandwiches and a glass of milk. She didn't eat immediately, showing a level of distrust, as if she expected them to take the food away suddenly. (Starch Syrup Capture Field: 4/7)

But they urged her to eat, so she made a great show about devouring the sandwiches, seemingly almost inhaling them. In fact she was only taking small bites and chewing thoroughly, but she made it look like she was eating fast. Seemingly satisfied, the person moved off a bit, and she slowed down eating, moving a sandwich behind her for Shouta to eat. Again, he didn't really need to when they were one, but it was really just a part of how much they shared things. As well, the sandwiches were pretty good, so she thought Shouta'd like one. They finished their meal, and she made a show about getting sleep. Leaning back a bit on the couch, she adjusted her position and curled up to go to sleep. She didn't hear anyone yell at her, so she assumed it was okay. Letting her mind begin to drift off, she prepared to go to sleep. (Starch Syrup Capture Field: 5/7)

After drifting off to sleep, she didn't sleep for long. As usual, she awoke every so often, a conditioned reflex from many, many nights of interrupted slumber. But just like the night before, they went unmolested, it appeared the hotel inhabitants possessed a good deal of moral fiber. With their frequent wake-ups, the night seemed to take forever. But eventually the darkness lightened, as the day began to appear. They'd been awake for a little while, it hadn't been worth going back to sleep with Shouta's training coming so soon. Only a short while before the sun would rise, they got up and prepared to depart. They didn't bother writing a note to thank the one who'd taken them in, but neither did they take the chance to steal anything from the hotel. Lolita let herself out, and Shouta took over again. After all, this was his training, not Lolita's. (Starch Syrup Capture Field: 6/7)

Shouta stretched and looked around the village. It looked different so early in the morning. There was really no one around, and there was a pregnant silence, as if the entire village was waiting for the signal to begin it's day. This was the perfect time to prepare for a long session of perversion, which he assumed was the reason why Ero-Sannin had told him to meet him behind the ladies bath so early. He hastened his steps, and went back to one of his favorite parts of the village. Once he saw the baths, he slowed to a normal pace, making sure to try to keep quiet as possible. He didn't walk past it's front, in case there was already anyone inside. Instead, he immediately started to move behind, and passed between it and the closest building. Reaching the other side, he began to search out Ero-Sannin, to see what their first task might be. He had a feeling he'd enjoy it, whatever it was. (Starch Syrup Capture Field: 7/7)

Zakun walked off of the boat as he saw the leaf village wondering what he would learn there. as he walked in he saw the gate watchers and he walked over to see what they needed. "what'ya need? id?" Zakun said as he stood next to the stand. "actually yes," one of them said as Zakun handed his id over to one of them "ok this checks out, except i've never heard of the Zoto clan, hmmm? well anyway if you would wait for a while we have to get someone down here to watch you" "fine" Zakun said taking a seat near the stand. (rasengan1:15) Zakun got up when he saw somebody come walking down to the entrance of the village and start talking to the people in the gate stands, then looking over at Zakun with a strange expression "so your the guy from the hidden void village, right, your name must be Zakun Zoto, right?" Naruto asked as he looked over him. Zakun stood up using his scythe as a walking stick "yeah thats my name, let me guess....blond hair, stupid expression...you must be Naruto Uzumaki, is that right" (2:15) "yeah thats my name, but what do you mean by stupid expression?" Naruto said begining to scream Zakun held his hand out "i don't mean anything offensive by that, its just something i was told to look for." Naruto grabbed Zakuns hand and they began to shake it then headed to the training grounds. "so Naruto, i was hopping to find you because i was wondering about learning a few techniques and you know one that i'd like to learn." Zakun said as they arrived at the ramen shop. (3:15) they entered the ramen shop both looking starved as they sat down Naruto looked over at Zakun "so what did you want to learn from me?" Zakun looked at him and said "the rasengan, you see i need to learn more techniques so i have a better chance in missions, well would you teach me?" Zakun said then started to order ramen "would you like me to order? cause i'm getting 4 bowls of pork ramen and 2 beef and 1 chiken" Zakun said to the chef and then started to eat when he got it handing a small bag of money to the man "i'm buying his too" (4:15)

Nyu appeared in the village once more yawning as he said" Why doesn't this kid ever pick a different place?" Nyu thought for a moment thinking that sounded odd because he was actually only 12. He was a genius as a child but then became more laid back after he became jounnin. He kept himself entertained in odd ways. He even pushed himself to make this squad. Nyu quickly began forming some hand seals for an unknown reason. This reason would be announced when Tai arrived.

The moon chuunin took a deep breath as he stood up from laying up against the wall and stretched himself out. He was getting more and more used to the weight this jacket had, which meant that in battle he would only be more faster. He gave a happy sigh as he 'looked' up at the crack of sky in the hallway and noticed a pair of ANBU stalking above the roof tops as one glanced down at him. Usagi pulled his bamboo hat over his head as the ANBU operative mearly passed him off as another wanderer. He stalked over another roof top and dissapeared from view.
(Fireseal-1/5)
As Usagi felt them exit his aura range he felt a bit envious. All he was doing right now was aimlessly wandering. Medicine was nice...but there's too much ticker tape with that occupation. That and most people are ungrateful with their services. He wondered how Sayuri would cut if she ever became a fully qualified specialist. Medical ninjas are useful in battle but the unwanted attention from enemies made him more and more skeptical of his choice of profession so far. Usagi never was the type to be the life of the party. Sure everyone loved the lime light here and there, but he was much more behind the scenes and loved it.
(2/5)
Usagi finnally decided to walk around the city once again as he pulled his jacket over him and grunted slightly over the incredibly weight. It felt like he was carrying 5 or more people on his back continueally, which probably gave him horrible back pain but he rarely realized it anymore. He pulled his walking stick to him as he turned to his right and walked back to the harbor. Not matter what type of day is the harbor was always bustling with some kind of activity. It had it all, shops restaurants, hotels, the works. Usagi often forgot that the real world and his own realm of ninjutsu often coexisted but rarely came into each other.
(3/5)
He was part of an army. Everyone he met was part of an army. Everyone backstabbed one another, it had a nice helping of politics as well....he never cared much for it. He loved the feeling of travel, of battle, of people, of learning and never realizing when the end of the world would happen. In this world, he knew people with powers he could only dream of. He passed by a couple and realized the girl of the couple was holding her nose up. His ears caught the wisper of her telling her boyfriend she hated hermit riff raff like that old man.
(4/5)
Usagi almost fet offended by the girls words as they walked away but he realized that still had his bamboo hat and jacket on. His face was copletely obscured by such an overlarge hat that people who passed him by mearly thought of him as an old man. He also realized that he hadnt bathed in over a week since he left for the chuunin exams, so he possibly could use a bath. The lanterns lit up the harbor as Usagi passed by a musical bard playing serandes to couples. Spring was in the air as he made his way to the end of the harbor road and walked into a nearby hotel.

Usagi pulled back the fabric he ran into which acted as a make shift door as the receptionist stared at him. She raised as eyebrow as Usagi walked up to the front desk. He definatly needed a bath and he smelled it now. He had normally been outside so often so the smell wasnt so bad, but now that he was inside it over powered his nose as apparently the receptionists too as she spoke. "Hello....sir.....Is there anything I can do for you today?" She asked as politely as possible as Usagi put a hand inside his jacket to get some money out.
(Iceseal-1/5)
"Yes actually. I wanted to know if your hotel has any open rooms and a small hotsprings and shower?" Usagi asked as he could hear the rifting of pages through a book. He could hear the receptionist mumble to herself as she picked up a pen. He put on his best crumbly voice to keep the old man impression up. "Yes there are sir. We have several rooms left. Good thing you came now, the spring festival preview starts tonight. By tommorrow there will be no more rooms left. How many nights do you plan on staying.....ummmm?"
(2/5)
The receptionist realized she forgot to ask for the persons name. She mentally cursed herself. First day on the job and I'm already slipping up! She thought as Usagi could feel her nervousness. "Mastumoto Kenji" Usagi said, supplying her with a false name. He figured if he wanted to stay off of any ninjas radar he better play it cool. He chuckled as he heard the girl ruffle through the pappers happhazardly to write his name down. She opened a nearby drawer on her desk and pilfered through the remaining keys as she wrote down the corresdonding number and key. "How long do you plan on staying here in our hotel Matsumoto-san?" She asked
(3/5)
Usagi hadn't really thought of that but he laid some ryo on the table for her. "How long will this much Ryo cover me for mam?" He asked as the receptionist peered at him and tried to look under his hat. Usagi caught the motion and subtley looked down to cover his face some more. She shrugged and counted the money. "This much Ryo should cover you for 3 days and nights. Is that how long you plan on stay Matsumoto-san?" She asked as Usagi shooed the money away from him, signifying that he was giving her the money.
(4/5)
He pondered it a while as he shrugged himself. "Eh, why not? Old men like me only have one thing to hurry them at this age, and thats time." He chuckled as he heard the twinkling of keys. The receptionist was trying to give him is room as he gratefully took it. "Not a problem sir. Your room is on the first floor, room 126. There are signs for the hotsprings and showers should you need them. If you need roomservice, please use the phone accompanied in your room and we will gladly help you. Have a pleseant stay at our inn." She said with a smile that Usagi could detect.

Bone and Jason walked into the village, feeling two familiar chakra signals from all around and then smiled. Thinking that things will get interesting if they all started to meet Jason again, they wanted to hurry before they had the chance by rushing off to see if he could find Kamizuki Izumo so they could learn a few techniques that they heard from some traveling merchants said that he was using a very interesting technique. Jason and Bone then started to move but then came across Sayuri in chance and stopped in their tracks near her.

Realizing that the nurses' eyes were now on him, elder turned around and headed out of the room, giving the nurse a quick nod of thanks before his hunched figure could no longer be seen in the hall way. Shrugging, the pretty young lady walked out and went to check up on the boy in the other room. The next day, a few other Hyuuga Shinobi came to visit her. Though they were annoyed with her actions, they were equally happy with her accomplishment and her quick healing. It would still be a few more months before her arm would completely heal. When it was all better, she would be attending the Leaf Ninja Academy, much to her pleasure.
Harichakra 1/10
Sayuri could still feel the happiness when the Jounin informed her of her enrollment. She felt that she could make her mother and elder proud. She wasn't too sure what her father would've thought if he was still alive. She was told that he used to be a very bubbly fellow, but all that changed when his wife died. Apparently, she was the whole world and more to him. But they were still clueless as to why he didn't seem to give a damn towards his baby daughter. Which was puzzling, since he loved his wife so much.
Harichakra 2/10
The Hyuuga Jounin hadn't stayed for very long. Infact, they had only came to tell her that she had been accepted and didn't even wait for her reply. For one of the founding noble families of the Leaf, they didn't seem to care that much. Ignoring their cold manner, Sayuri called out for the nurse. What she was most worried about was why elder hadn't showed up. As the nurse came in to see why she was called, she was quite surprised to see the little angel so lively. Smiling, she walked towards Sayuri and asked her what she wanted.
Harichakra 3/10
As Sayuri talked out her problem, the nurse looked quite grave. She had no idea what had been on the old mans mind, and even though he hadn't asked her not to tell, by the way he had acted, she had the feeling that the old man didn't want her to find out. Her sudden hesitation was what gave Sayuri the feeling that he had came, so she lay down and asked the young women her question once again. Realizing that the little angel had found out, she replied with a nod. Sayuri then burst out about ten questions in one sentence, which made the nurse jump. The both started laughing, Sayuri because of the nurses jump and the nurse because the little girl reminded her so much of herself when she was young.

"Sayuri!" Called Jason with a smile. Bone standing right next to him. Of course she would not know who he was and would probably think that it was a friend of Jason instead of him being an actual part of him. Bone stood there, pulling up his hand and then grabbing the tip of the hat to pull it down over his milky white eyes and then waited for her to come and speak with him. Jason continued to wave to Sayuri, thinking on what he will say to her when she comes over but then he decided that he would teach her one of his made ups.
