I hate the idiots who think donating to Gaia is anything other than a clever marketing scheme. As if changing the word actually makes it true.
"Donations" are just money paid for pixel items and the removal of ads. rolleyes

Awh, I feel young now. Not only do I not remember a time before donation items, but the first ones I saw released were the discman/mp3 players.
Oddly enough, those are the only 04 items I don't have.

Nobody who had donated up until then had any idea they were going to get a reward. So... cut it off, right? Wrong. The fact that they actually extended the donation period well into July proves that we're really just BUYING pixel items.

Speaking of which, I ought to be working on a UFG Recruit banner...
I drew up a couple drafts, but while I was doing so, I remembered my reluctance toward objectifying females - so I are adding hot intelligent boys alongside the hot intelligent girls, if that's OK. Kekeke.
