As his left fist would connect with the man's right ribs, there was a sudden loud bang sound. As the fist compressed tightly against the man's side, a mechanism in his left gauntlet would release an 8" serrated blade with the force of a gunshot from the forearm piece of the gauntlet. Hence the loud bang; the sound of a sonic boom as the previously hidden weapon blasted out with such force.

*Q's last breath was used to roar in pain as the blade got lodged into is ribs, it would take a considerable amount of healing to recover from something like that were the last bit of thought that passed through his mind as Conscienceness escaped his grasp*

Well, now it seemed he was in the right place; A moment before, he was walking through a plain, and a moment before that, he was in the forest. Now that he was back to where he had initially began his journey, he stopped in the middle of the path to take a look at his map.

Taking out a neatly folded piece of parchment, the darkly clad man paused a moment to look over it, between intervals of looking around at the path and what was over the treeline to figure out where he was.

Visibly heavily armed, he carried two swords, four oddly bladed weapons with a ring in it's handle, and a garafa, an exotic polearm with a crescent shaped blade, having propped it up next to a tree before taking a look at the map in his hands.

A familiar young lady was strolling through the woods. Hat on head, jar in her back as always, she was taking her whole sweet time, gazing at the nature surrounding her while idly chewing upon ... a dead leaf.

Whatever. She was having a good day, and was in a great mood after having met a quite nice man earlier. For now though, she was on the lookout for something ...

It appeared that, according to his map, the town of Latent lay only a short distance north of his current location. Hard to believe that the dense forest which surrounded him would thin down and then open up to a town by the sea, but that is what it indicated on his map. Neatly folding the sheet of parchment, he returned it to a pocket on the inside of his vest, took hold of the polearm leaning against the tree, and turned northward.

Y'know, ever had one of those moments when you don't know wether to say "oh, ********" or "w00t!"? Like, when you get laid off from a sucky job with a huge pay? Or like when you draw a bold design and finally submit it to the client, not sure wether he'll like it or not?

Well, for the woman, noticing the figure standing further along the road, going in the opposite direction than her (namely, toward her) was kinda one of those moments. Either a chance to get sliced again, or a chance to beat him up real good for revenge.

She swallowed her saliva and hopped to the side of the road behind a tree, hoing he hadn't seen her.

Ever pay attention to your surroundings? Like... really pay attention? Because if you did, you'd probably notice the sudden quiet in the forest; no birds chirping, no squirrels darting through trees, no buzz of insects. Nothing. Full of tension so tight it could snap with a slash of a dull knife.

However, under the circumstance that nothing seemed out of the ordinary before, the darkly clad man, from head to toe, took no notice of suck a thing. He just continued to walk northward down the path, using the garafa's haft like a walking stick.

As quietly as possible, Vanessa put down her jar. Right now, she was wishing very strongly that the forest had been cut blank. She could've used a few stumps around to power up the Fairy Spirit jar. She'd have to do without it, though. Once the jar was softly set onto the ground, Vanessa stood back straight up and softly bit onto her lower lip.

She would've appreciated it a whole lot if her body would stop producing that cold, nagging sweat upon her forehead.

Like a deer which caught the scent of a predator, he froze in place, in the middle of the road, head turning to look around. But was he really the prey, or was he the predator?
PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2005 1:03 am

Not good. Even though from where he froze, Dark couldn't see her, the young woman couldn't see him either. She needed him to walk a little bit further, just pas the tree she was hiding behind ...

For now though, she did her best to remain soft, and controlled both her breath and heartbeat to stay silent, low and at an endurable speed. Not an easy task, really. She felt like a dolphin trying to ambush a shark. Even if she could pack a punch, the damn thing had the spikeys and the sharpeys.

After a moment of silence, nothing. Nothing but the silence itself, an unnatural silence which he hadn't noticed up until now. He began to walk down the path yet again, his body's movements seemed as normal as they were before, giving the impression that he noticed nothing, unless one could see the sharp glint of alertness in his feral yellow eyes. Eyes of that of a predator.

At last, he was in her line. In one, great swoop, like an all-star soccer player ready for the winning goal, The woman kicked her two feet wide jar of rough stone. The object rocketed by the trees, zooming straight toward Dark. She had aimed to the man's legs, and had aimed right, hoping to hit a knee and mess it up pretty badly, or at least make the man trip.

Whatever the outcome, she stepped out of her cache and dashed toward the man.

Picking up a sudden sound from the silence, he whipped his body around to face it, only to see a jar come flying towards him. He simply brought the base of the polearm to knock it out of it's trajectory and off to the side as he watched some crazy woman come charging out at him. He would have xpected orcs or something, but instead, it was some woman. Either way, he knew this was some sort of an attack, so he held his weapon at the ready, the large 8' long polearm held in both hands.

Soon enough, the woman was holding the polearm with both hands too. She still had to be careful, though. The man was probably stronger, and wouldn't have too much trouble wrangling it free from her. Pay attention to his legs and face, too.

"Missed me?" A wink. How charming.

Being so close to someone as heavily armed as Dark was is probably not a very smart idea, especially when he knew how to use the weapons he carried to full effect. The woman could watch his lags and face, or as much of his face that wasnt wrapped by the black cloth, as much as she liked, but those two didnt have a lot to do with his next move.

For some reason, the woman looked kind of familiar, especially after she said those words, however, he didnt have a lot of time to think about it since he pulled the garafa to his right side while turning his body with it and pushing up against the woman almost as if he was forcibly pushing the woman off his weapon with his shoulder, only that was not really the case.

Six small blades, three from each of the two bladed weapons at his left hip and left shoulder would be forced in her direction, forced into her flesh at the hips, stomach, shoulder and head of the woman who stood so close, just like a quick tackle from close range.
