Loki chuckled. "I do not mind handling the others alone. All they need is to think I'm happy, idiotic Loki all the time, and they will be fine. I was just worried about you."

Tempest was on a rock, deep in thought. Loki had taught him this, a way to block everything out and just take in nature. A couple of twigs snapped behind him and he didn't move. He continused to look down at the lake, at this playful new member. "How, how in the world did she get that mark?" Tempest thought, searching for an awnser. More twigs snapped, and he sniffed. Just as he thought, a snow leppard. He turned around, to see the feriocious creature. From the way it's ribs were visible, Tempest could tell it was starving. "Child of the mountain, forgive me, but I must put you out of your misery." HE said, pouncing at it and biting its neck. The beast went down, and in a minute was dead. The snow around it was red from the blood. He dragged it down to the lake, and set it next to Miki. "Want some?"

Miki looked in horror as the snow leopard appeared in fornt of her. "What did you do?"

Sahari laughed softly, "Dont be so hard on yourself Loki. These foxes here would protect you even if it costed them thier lives. Most of them would anyway." She said calmly, "There is no worry to be I am fine. How about just for you I will cheer up and be more hyper active." She said, slightly knowing that was a hard promise to keep, it wouldent be like her real self, but she would try if he wanted.

Miki turned her head away. "I'm not sure I really I want to know," she groaned, feeling sick. It was one thing to kill caribou, but having a mauled snow leopard appear in front of her was just sickening.
Loki shook his head. "It is nice to think they would, but that worries me. I am not so sure I have taught them how to survive in fights." He let out a bark of laughter. "Sahari, one of us already puts on a facade frequently for their sakes. I don't want to see two of us being forced to play an act almost daily."

Sahari sighed, "They would try anyway." She blinked slightly, "And Loki dont dout yourself like that, you are a wonderful teacher, and leader. You just need to see like everyone else here does." She said in a slightly stern tone.

"I'll take that as long story short." He said, carving another peice. "Basically, I was meditating, this thing was about to attack me because it was starving as you can tell, and I put it out of it's miserey." He said, eating the meat. "Sorry, but it was either my life or it's life."

XxOnexWishxX Sahari remained perfactly still as she muttered to Loki, "Please dont." She whispered and grunted as the kit bounced on her but she remained laying "dead"Kinovu looked back, then picked up his speed, "Aww come on Akuma arnt you faster then that?" He teased as he raced forward.

Rain sniffed smelling fresh meat, she trotted toward the scent and looked at Miki and Tempest, "Hello." She said cheerfully to them sitting down not sure if she had even seen these two foxes before.

EDIT: Kinovu looked at her and smirked, "Are you now?" He asked darting forward fast as he could laughing slightly, "How about know?" He called with a grin.

Loki shook his head. "I cannot see like everyone else, Sahari. Almost all of them, with few exceptions, are blindly happy. And I am grateful that we have given them a chance to move on from their pasts to establish a peaceful life here, but that doesn't mean I can leave my duty behind. I can't be blindly happy." He looked up at the sky, sighing softly. "I wish I could be, though."
Miki wrinkled her nose. "If it was that starved, you could have walked away..." She turned to look at Rain, recognizing her from shortly before Rae's kits were born. "Hello there."

Sahari frowned, "And why not Loki? Why cant you?" She asked, "They all know what they came into when they joined to this tribe, how can you say that they are blindly happy?" She growled.

Loki laughed darkly. "Look at them, Sahari! Can't you see? They've all gotten so desperate to forget their pasts, that that's exactly what they do! They could not survive without this," he gestured to the snow. "And what is this anyways? A strange land where lakes sing?! How can we all walk around and pretend that's normal?" He started to pace in frustration; one of his darker moods had descended on him, and wouldn't let up for a long while.
Miki turned away completely. "I hardly call slaughtering it a favor."

"No maybe I am just blind." She growled angrily, "So they wanted to forget their pasts so they turn to a tribe to find a meaning. We found a place where we were away from enemies, where others hate to go." She snarled, "I am too among those foxes. Am I really that desperate to you Loki? Tell me am I?"

Rain blinked and looked at the large cat, then at Tempest then Miki, "What I think she means is that it may have been a bit cruel." She sniffed
