Ran Kizama ((Pay for what?!?! gonk )) *Ran blinked as if waking from a deep sleep and looked up, meeting eyes with Cain* C-Cain... *He shook his head, the blood that was running down his back having dried up, and sat up slowly* Where am I? What happened?

*Ran felt Cain embrace him and closed his eyes. He didn't have the nerve to dare hug Cain back. Not after all that had happened. He shook his head and sighed* Cain...I was dead. But for some reason, I've been set free back to Earth. *He sighed and broke away from Cain's hug and looked at him pleadingly* Cain, you have to tell me. Where's Hikari? *Ran felt that he knew the answer, but hoped that by some shred of fate, or by the grace of God, that Hikari was somehow still alive*

Cain's eyes teared up again, covering his hands with his face. He couldn't bring himself to speak. He hadn't told Kuroi what had happened yet, but he was sure he knew. He just couldn't say it. He knew Ran was probably why she was dead, but he couldn't bring himself to be angry when Ran had that look.

*Ran looked as Cain buried his face in his hands. He looked away and closed his eyes* Oh...I see... *Ran stood up to his feet and stumbled a step back before regaining his balance. He shook the motion-waviness away and started to walk into town* I have to go...

Cain stood up and grabbed Ran's wrist. "Wait, you can't go right now. You aren't strong enough. You aren't ready." He could feel the small amount of power that kept Ran consience, and it was rather small. Sometimes he didn't like being linked with others but now he knew he couldn't let Ran leave, even if he had to knock him out.

*Ran almost fell back to the ground when Cain grabbed hold of him. Cain was right. He didn't have the strength for it. There wasn't anything he do right now. He just had to wait. Turning around, he looked tiredly down at Cain. His eyes were completely deprived of emotion and he blinked slowly* I know I don't but...I have to find Ranpha... *He felt a tear whel up in his eye but forced it back* ...it's the only way I can seek redemption for what I've done.

Cain sighed and it looked like he'd let go of Ran, but instead he pulled him over and hit the back of his neck, rendering him unconsience. He threw him over his shoulder. "Sorry Ran, can't let you run off right now, you wouldn't be able to find her like this anyways."

::Nov had been keeping quiet, letting Cain handle Ran until he knocked the demon uncounsious. now she steps forward a bit:: my apartment isn't far... Ueten needs rest, Remi looks like she could use some herself, and Ran needs patching up... badly... i've got tons of medical supplies at home... it'd be easier to take care of him there... what do you say? ::looking at everyone, then glances at Ran and mutters:: mind, the minute he wakes up i want him outta my home ::she STILL didn't like him::

Cain nodded. "My apartment is too far and I don't have any medical supplies in it so that would be best. He'll live as soon as I let him I'm sure. But if he wakes up and is still too weak then I can't say I'll boot him out, I could always knock him back out though." She said.
