Tamao

Tamao came to a stop, breathing a little bit hard. For being a 'joke' technique, it hadn't been easy to pull off! She'd never done it before either, she was both surprised and proud that it had actually worked. Straightening up, she let the last article of Hedoro's outfit fall to the ground to join the sizable pile, and then turned to see what Hedoro actually looked like.
The moment she did, she gasped in shock. She'd had no idea... She gulped nervously, what was she supposed to say at a time like this? She had no idea, this was like nothing she'd ever encountered before. Straining her brain, she rejected one idea after the next, none of the different things she thought of seemed to apply. Finally, when she was desperate enough for any idea that sounded halfway credible, she made her decision. Act like nothing was wrong. She held out a towel for Hedoro, and suggested they wash up and hope in the tub before they catch colds. She started to wash herself, a quick once-over with a sponge and body wash, then rinsing herself off. She couldn't help but glance back at Hedoro several times, though. Just what was she?

Hedoro

Hedoro mutely took the towel and set about washing herself up. It wasn't all that necessary, she herself never really got dirty. It was just her clothes that accumulated dirt and grime. But she still went through the motions, scrubbing herself then rinsing off. As the water cascaded down her form, she could feel Tamao stealing glances every so often. That was somewhat of a relief. She knew now that Tamao didn't really know what to say or do, that in fact she was probably as weirded out as anyone else had ever been, just that she was either too nice or too polite to actually do anything about it.
She could deal with that. In fact, that was probably the best possible situation, better than anything she could have hoped for. If Tamao was willing to either outright ignore what she really was, or maybe even find a way to accept it, then she was very rare. Hedoro hadn't even considered that a possibility, it had seemed more or less impossible. She never knew that there could be someone like that, someone who could possibly accept her.

((You know, you don't have to put a title for every training post you make right? Though it is classy, it isn't necessary... Meh, never mind. I shouldn't really bother. It's your decision and I have no part in changing it. mrgreen ))

Tamao

Tamao had finished rinsing herself off, and waited a moment for Hedoro to do the same. Once they were both finished, she gestured for Hedoro to accompany her to slip into the actual hot spring. The water was nice and quite hot, just a little bit short of painful. Tamao slid down to a sitting position and sighed, it was hard not to relax in a situation like this. She glanced over at Hedoro once more, and finally her curiousity overcame her tact, and she asked the question that had been dominating her thoughts for the past moment.
Turning slightly to the side to look at Hedoro, she asked if she'd been like she was for her entire life, and just what she really was. She begged forgiveness both for being so rude in how she worded that, and for taking such liberties in making Hedoro reveal her secret. but she vowed that it changed nothing, she had come to like Hedoro for who she was, Hedoro's true nature didn't change her feelings in the slightest. She felt a little impulsive, and leaned over and wrapped Hedoro up in a warm hug.

Hedoro

Hedoro slipped into the water, she could tell it was rather hot. Settling down, she could easily smell the rather strong pungent scent of the natural minerals in the hot spring's water, even in the steam rising from the water's surface. But as tranquil as the scene may have been, she was not relaxed at all, she was on edge knowing that Tamao knew what she really was, at least to some degree. And what Tamao said next certainly didn't help the situation either.
Of course. She knew that it would happen sooner or later. No matter how much Tamao acted like she didn't care what she really was, she had still wanted to know. She'd been prepared for this, and since Hedoro had been taking it pretty well so far, she decided she'd go ahead and answer her. She put her thoughts in order, and answered as succintly as possible. She wasn't really comfortable discussing herself like this, so she'd much rather just say what she had to say, and be done with it.
She said how she'd been like this ever since she was born, or at least from her earliest cognizant memory. She'd never known herself as anything except that which she was now. As for precisely what she was? That was a little harder to say, she still wasn't exactly sure of the details herself. To the best of her knowledge, she would have to be called a slime. She explained it as best she could, but stopped partway through when Tamao grabbed her in a hug. She'd never been hugged before, not like this, and froze up. She didn't know what she was supposed to do, but after a minute, pushed away.

Tamao

Tamao listened closely, her thirst for knowledge making her hang on every detail. She'd never heard of anything even close to this before. How had it happened? What had happened? Why had it happened? She didn't know any of these, and likely Hedoro didn't either. That could wait until later, though, for now she wanted to show her friend that it didn't matter that she was different, in fact it could possibly be a good thing. Hedoro was definitely unique, and if they could find something good about it, then maybe she wouldn't be quite so paranoid about herself?
When she first wrapped her arms around Hedoro and hugged her, she was surprised by just how she felt. Rather cool to the touch, with an odd feel, almost like she was an enormous piece of soft gelatin. Tamao nearly giggled, it tickled. Rather too soon, Hedoro pulled away. She had expected that, it would have been odd if Hedoro had suddenly accepted a hug out of the blue like that. And speaking of blue, Tamao found her eyes drawn to Hedoro. The precise blue of her substance seemed to reflect the low lights above them and cast the entire area in a soft cyan light.

Hedoro

Hedoro felt Tamao's eyes on her, and would have blushed if it was actually possible for her to. She felt even more self-conscious now than when she was first exposed, and didn't know why. It was odd, nothing much had changed, had it? Nothing came to mind, but still, she was feeling nervous and tried to change the subject. Since she had already told Tamao what she was, and at least a portion of her past, it was time for Tamao to return the favor. She asked Tamao to tell her a bit more about herself. Why she wanted to be a ninja, what her situation was like, what her childhood was like.
Once she was finished speaking, she settled a little deeper into the water, feeling it go up past her mouth. Nearly submerged, she purposely made bubbles as she exhaled slowly. This really wasn't that bad. She'd had a small concern over the interaction of her own form with water, but it seemed that nothing unusual was happening. She was only a short distance away from Tamao, two feet at best, but she'd already begun to feel at least somewhat accustomed to her presence, she didn't really feel like an enemy anymore.

Tamao

Tamao watched the light show for a moment before answering. She didn't have a problem with talking about her past, just after hearing what Hedoro had said, it was obvious she hadn't had an easy life. As such, that made her own feel even easier, and she didn't feel like saying anything that would almost sound like bragging. But she did owe Hedoro an answer, so she began her tale.
Nothing very exciting, she had a rather extravagant childhood with generous yet strict parents. Typical spoiled rich girl story, overall. But when she got to the part where she set out to become stronger, that tale became her own, not many people were willing to seperate themselves so completely from a life of comfort. But this was important that she become stronger, that she make it so she can live on her own, that she can survive by only her own power. Now that she thought about it, that part of her situation seemed kind of similar to what she thought Hedoro had implied. It seemed they both wanted to get stronger for themselves.

Tapping his desk in a small drum beat, Akuma waited patiently for his turn to come up. Sure the lectures were slow going and the written work was a killer, but now is the time that it counted.
Iruka sensei was working with another student currently and had told the young ninja in training to sit back as another instructor was going to test him on the subjects they'd learn in class.

The door creaked up as a middle aged man walked into the room casually. His face looked warm, like a family man as he shifted through the nearby pages of student data to find the right name and face that matched the boy in front of him.

"Heiseigo Akuma is it?" The man questioned him.

"Yes sir." Akuma answered and stood in attention. The old man waved him to at ease.

"This ain't the military yet kid. But if you're aiming for something like that then congratulations, you passed."

"So I'm a ninja?" He asked.

"Oh heaven's no." the man smiled and said as he watched the student bow his head in embarrisment. "Anyway, the name is Chey. And now that formalities are out of the way, I'll be your instructor for the practical lessons."

Akuma grinned apprciatly, he'd been waiting for this for a while.

"Ok, you know what they do and now its time to see if you can do it. Henge no Jutsu is your first shot. Simply put, transformation." Chey then pointed at himself, "Ok Akuma, your task is to transform into me."

"Sir!" The ninja-in-training (nit) responed as he clasped his hands together. He focused on the old man and felt his body charge with a warmth as he gathered chakra. "Henge!" He spoke as a small puff of smoke billowed around him. Chey checked the damage.
"Not bad. I've seen worse on a first try. Now transform back and try it again."
Akuma had grown several inches and his hair had changed from brown to gray. Several wrinkles had formed and his voice was deeper as he HHMMPH'ed in agreement and reverted back to himself.

Akuma slapped his hands together as he gathered chakra once more. He added a bit of power to it as he studied his instructor a little carefully and took his advice.

"Ok kid, study my actions and my face. Clothing isn't the hard part. Each person is different and for a fast and complete Henge, you need to see what makes each of use unique."

"Not a problem... Henge!"
Akuma said as the billow of smoke gathered around him once more. Chey looked on at the progressed and smiled.

"Definately an improvment." He smiled. He walked forwards and pointed spots on his face and hands, pointing out the intracacies of the art with his student. Akuma didnt noticed the scars on the sides of his neck and hands.

"Wow, you've seen some action." Akuma said aloud and caught Chey off guard. The instructor looked at his hands and before he could speak Akuma took the words from his mouth. "Apparently its the little things that we need to be attentive too. Especially if being a great shinobi is our ultimate goal." Chey smiled and nodded as he stepped back and leaned on the desk.
Akuma reverted back and took a couple of deep breaths.

"When do we get to do the fun stuff? I mean all this stuff about water walking and what not seemed so boring in the books."

"the 'fun' stuff starts after you finish the basics. Gotta learn to crawl before you run you know."

(Henge no Jutsu = 2/3)

"Henge!" Smoke billowed once more as the NIT focused once more. It was particually difficult for the basics. It mainly caught him off guard.
Chey smiled and clapped.
"Nice Heiseigo. Spitting image now that you've fully applied yourself to it. I think I can call that one a pass."

Chey's mirror image smiled back and him and spoke in the same warm low tone, "Awesome. I guess that sloppiness in ninjutsu never fulls the skilled eye."

"True...now revert back becasue hearing myself speak is creepy." The old man laughed and marked something down on Akumas papers and he straightened the pile and looked at the next item on the list.

"Well now that transformations good to go, lets try dopplegangers. As you know you are making copies of yourself, just like this-" He made a quick couple of hand signs and 2 more copies of himself appeared. "now they arent flesh and blood, like the Kage Bushin so I can do this-" He pulled out two kunai and stabbed the 2 gangers in the chest and they dissapeared in a puff. "But it takes a bit of good distrubution to get it right."

(Henge No Jutsu = COMPLETE)

Hedoro

Hedoro didn't reply immediately after hearing Tamao's history. Yeah, it was more or less what she would have expected, except for one thing. She'd known a few rich people during her own life, and they were almost all egocentric, snobbish, rude and oftentimes cruel. Tamao was none of those, and it confused Hedoro. Was it just that Tamao was a unique rich person, or were the deviants the ones she'd dealt with in the past? Either option changed her perception at least slightly, she'd have to think more on the matter to really decide how she felt about rich people as a whole, and Tamao in particular. Up until now, she had a simple guideline. If they were rich, they were an enemy, and not to be trusted.
But she'd worry about that later. For now, there were other things to occupy her mind. Like what Tamao had said, that their motives were similar. She hadn't noticed that, but then again, she hadn't known Tamao's reason for being a ninja, either. She tried replying, but forgot that she had submerged herself, and her words only came out as bubbles.
