Seeing as Fang hadn't answered her she decided on a new course of action. "Hmm, well why don't we check out they gym? Perhaps Kasiya is there," Mitsu said. "Sounds good," Karri agreed, "I wouldn't mind taking on the leader myself." Mitsu's mind flashed back to when she watched Mike's first battle with her. Over the last few days Mitsu had seemed to lose confidence in herself. Sure there were those few battles with Haku and Nightmare, but that was child's play compared to a gym match. I don't think I'm ready Karri... Her eyes seemed to falter for a split second, but she quickly recovered, giving the Psychic Pokemon a small smile. "Let's go to the gym shall we?" Mitsu said already heading for the door. "C'mon Fang, we're going to the gym."

Fang gave an affirmative screech, swooping down and landing on the ground in front of the doors. He gave a delighted cry when he realized he was heavy enough to trigger the sliding door, and he hopped outside, where he unfurled his four wings and went airborne. In his excitement, he forgot that both Mitsu and Karri couldn't fly, and he'd soon left them behind as he was once again freely roaming around Lavaridge.

"Grim, NightShade." Zuki said in a cool, calm voice as a dark aura petruded from it. The dark aure trailed its way towards the HootHoot. It bounced off, lightly hitting the owl. I shouldnt have used that move. he thought as Mimi's voice broke through his head.
"Hooty-kun, Foresight!"
"Damn." He said as he signaled Grim to run away. A somewhat red beam passed through the area. Grim suddenly appeared by a bush that the red beam hit.
"Now Hoot, Tackle!" Mimi said.
The small HootHoot was rather fast as he ran into the ghost, sending him into the bush.
"Faint Attack!!" Zuki yelled as the Duskull appeared and dissapeared quickly, confusing the owl.
"Hooty?" Mimi said, looking at its dazed pokemon.
The duskull reapeared behind the small owl and hit him, sending it back to the center where Mimi and Zuki stood. Zuki began to chuckle as the owl started to pull itself up.

At first Mitsu had merely decided to visit the gym to reassure herself that she would lose to the Fire leader, a thought that Karri did not like in the least. "Have some confidence Mitsu," Karri said through telepathy, "It won't kill you to have some you know." Mitsu ground the back of her teeth, knowing that the Psychic Pokemon was right. Letting loose a sigh she responded, "You're right, but confidence doesn't come that easy you know." Karri scoffed, "It sure does when you're in a battle. But if you insist, why not train a bit then challange the leader?" Knowing that the Pokemon was right again Mitsu gave one final reply, "Sounds like a plan. Now let's hurry over onto the gym, it wouldn't hurt to pick up a few tips here and there either."
Mitsu and Karri exited the Pokemon Center already having lost Fang. "Great," she muttered seeing the green Crobat far off in the distance. Mitsu continued to walk to the gym, the air around her seeming to get warmer as they made thier way there. "Fang!" Karri called telepathically to the flying Pokemon, "Come to the gym Fang!"

(Alright, here we go! Picking up Jenna's story where I left off, back in Pewter City. Is anyone nearby?)
Dashing through the rain from the Pewter City Police Station after giving her report about Team Rocket activity in the area, Jenna thought about recent events in her life that had brought her here; a few days ago the young woman had left her home in LavenderTown and her position in the Pokemon Tower to come out into the real world and study the relationship between pokemon and their trainers. After working in the Tower for a few months Jenna came to the realization that the relationship went much deeper than a simple trainer/pokemon bond and was more like the relationship between siblings, or in some cases, between parents and children. Her own pokemon, an undersizd timid Clefairy named Belle, a stoic Pidgey named Sandy and now an over-eager Growlithe named Inferno were hers but she barely knew them. Their relationships were all new and they were all just getting to know each other. Jenna sighed; this was going to be a long journey. 'Might as well get dried off and wait for the weather to break before going on..' she thought to herself as she entered the Pokemon Center.

(Um... the only one I can think of is Mag... who is currently battling with the gym leader, Brock.) Keegan glanced down at the egg case on his lap, now keeping a protective arm around it as he pondered Dante's question. "Anything interesting? Well, not really," he said, now staring absently at the window. "It's mostly just been me, traveling around with Helios here."
The Vulpix made a happy sort of noise, lifting his head and twitching his ears. He made himself more comfortable, being sure to curl up around the egg as best he could.
Next stop, Celadon City, came the automatic voice over the PA. Keegan blinked, looking around as the sleepless city rolled into view. It looked just as it had the last time he'd been here, tall, tall buildings, people bustling in every direction. The train pulled to a stop, and the boy stood up, stretching. "Come on, Helios," he said, picking up the Pokemon from Dante's lap. "Stay close, I don't want to lose you." Not sure if Dante was right behind him or not, the boy exited the train, nearly bumping into a small, blond-haired girl clutching a small, star-shaped Pokemon. "Oh, sorry," he called behind him, but she was soon out of sight and lost in the crowd. Grumbling, the young, caped trainer made his way to an empty bench, shoving his way through the crowd with much effort. "Did I ever mention how much I don't like this place?" he huffed, flopping down on the bench.

Z yawned stretching his arms out above him. He slowly began to open his eyes and saw that Shino was still asleep on his chest. Z smirked and sat up fully causing the nincada to roll onto his lap. Shino opened his eyes and looked around seeing that he was on Z's lap. "Cada! Cada!" He said happily jumping up and down. Z picked up Shino and stood up. "Time for our first day of training since Lyn left!" Z said eagerly. He wanted to get to training so he could prove to his sister once and for all that he was better. Z and Shino walked out of the pokemon center saying goodbye to nurse joy before he left.
Z and Shino went to route 117 which was just outside Mauville to train. "First you have to master your silver wind. It is your most powerful attack by far and as a bug pokemon is one of the most powerful attacks you will ever learn." Z said looking down at Shino who was sitting at his feet. Z ould tell that he was not enjoying being taught something and Z sighed. "Look I like moving fast as much as the next guy but sometimes you just have to sit still or you might just miss something awesome. "Ninc!" Shino said grumpily and turned to the tree they were standing in front of. "Fine lets just get on with our training." Z said smirking.

"Okay Shino time to shine! Silver Wind!" Z yelled and Shino opened it small mouth. "Nincada!" It yelled and a blast of glittering wind flew at the tree. Unfortunately Shino collapsed before the attack even made contact with the tree. "You okay Shino?" Z asked kneeling down to his exhausted pokemon friend. shino struggled to stand back up and then nodded. "Silver wind must take a lot of energy if it took you down so quickly." Z said reaching into one of his pockets. He grabbed a small pink pokeblock out of his pocket and smiled. "Here eat this my dad made it for me and said that you would really like them." Z said setting the block of pokemon candy on the ground in front of Shino. The small pokemon sniffed at it and after a few seconds decidded it was safe. He took a small bite out of it and he paused. Z noticed that Shino's eyes seemed to be spinning.

The small bug finished the rest of the block in a flash and turned on the tree. Z could now see that he was vibrating slightly. "Z realized that he wanted to try silver wind again and aised an eyebrow. He had been almost knocked out and now he was as hyper as Z had ever seen him. "Silver wind!" Z commanded and Shino's eyes span faster. He opened his mout and yelled "Nincada!!" A powerful blast of air shot out of Shino's mouth but instead of pushing the tree over it caused Shino to propel him self backwards into Z and then into a another tree. On contact with the tree Shino stopped the Silver wind attack. Z groaned as they slid down the tree from 1/4 way up it. When they finnaly wer eon the ground again Z felt woozy.

"Well that was certainly stronger and longer lasting than the one from last time." Z said try to stand up with Shino in his arms. "Cada." Shino said trying to regain focus. "I think that pokeblock might have been a little to sweet for you." Z said finnally regaining his balance. Shino nodded slowly coming back to his senses. "These things could comine quite handy though. It did seem to rejuvinate you and boost your power although you did kind of lose control of it." Z said smirking. "Nin." Shino said agreeing with him. Shino yawned and fell asleep in Z's arms. "Z was so suprised he nearly dropt Shino back onto the ground. Shino almost never falls asleep during the day and he doesen't get much sleep at night. He is always to anxious to keep moving that he is not comfortable being in the same place for long and while asleep one must stay still for a great deal of time. "That power boost must have drained him of his energy as well." Z said hugging Shino tightly to his chest.

Mitsu picked her way through the town's streets until she came upon the gym. She pushed the doors open with both of her hands, immediatly being hit with a blast of heat that she did not expect in the least. Karri trailed behind still calling Fang to come to the gym. Mitsu looked up at the maze inside the gym. It wasn't like any other gym puzzle she had seen before. A girn crept up onto her face, tugging her lips into a smirk. She crackled her knuckles and began to work her way though.
Karri, having the ability to teleport, merely teleported herself onto the sidelines of the battle field. Having spotted Kasiya she floated on over, tapping the trainer's shoulder.

Maven was so excited today would be the day her and Phyra would move on. She went home since her mother was giving her a guilt trip for never visiting.
She just spent a full week with her mother in Veridian catching up on family life. Maven has been on the road for many years now her and her Ponyta Phyra travelled to different areas to learn more about coordinating events.
It was Maven's dream to learn all she could about the care of pokemon and give out ribbons to the best. Since she had seen one take place in her home town she had been fascinated with it all.
She hugged her mom who was in tears. Maven wiped them away with a smile on her face.
"Take it easy mom and I'm never that hard to find I stop in every center to see if there is mail. You need me you know Phyra and I will run day and night to get here. I got to go though I still have more training I have to go and pick up my contest pass. That's in Saffron and Phy and I have to get their in time." Maven embraced her mother one last time.
"You take care dear. Ride safely and do come back to visit another time. Good luck!"
She put on her bag over her shoulder and threw herself up on Phyra. She held on and waved to her mother as they started out of Veridian and headed towards Saffron City.
'finally my adventure and training can continue. I got nothing done back home need to do some catching up. Think we'll make camp near dark and get her to get some fire going so I can see in order to do some studying. Mom, be safe.
Maven thought as the wind whipped through her hair and the ground zoomed by.

After a few minutes and only a few small tricky problems in the maze Mitsu made her way to the battle area. She lifted herself up and dusted some dirt off of herself, a bit disappointed at the ease of the gym puzzle. She lifted her eyes up and saw Kasiya a few feets away watching the battle. Shocker, her Raichu, by her side as well as Mitsu's own Karri. The sounds of a battle floated over to Mitsu's ears. Happy that a battle was taking place she turned to see the gym match. Mitsu held her breath for a split second, surprised to find that the challenger was Mike. Quickly regaining her composure she walked over to Kasiya and the two Pokemon. "Hey there Kasiya," Mitsu said happy to see one of her friends after spending a week on her home island Mossdeep.

Kasiya fanned herself, feeling the effects of the unwelcomed heat. She longed to feel the cool breeze floating off the ocean, back in Vermilion City, suddenly very glad she'd thought to wear the light, slighty frilly pink sundress.
A gentle tap on her shoulder nearly made her, jump, but she smiled when she saw the lovely Gardevoir standing beside her. "Karri!" the girl cried, the battle practically forgotten. "Where's Mitsu?" she asked. Only moments later, the question was answered as Mitsu climbed up onto the platform. "Mitsu! Hi!" she called, waving.
"Raichuu!" Shocker cried, waving her paws in the air. The Raichu gave a bit of a sigh, looking as though the heat was starting to get to her.

Sitting in the common room of the Pokemon Center at a table eating a sandwich, Jenna watched the rain fall. There weren't any other trainers in at the moment and the room was fairly quiet. Tucking away the last of the sandwich and wiping away some crumbs, she decided to take out her newest pokemon and try and teach it some manners. With a flash of light the Growlithe appeared and sat in front of her looking about curiously. "Ok Inferno, we're going to start with the basics. I can't have you running around all crazy not knowing how to listen to me." Jenna stated. Inferno gave her a look as if to say 'I'll try!' as his bushy orange tail wagged eagerly. Jenna smiled and took a small piece of pokemon food out of her pocket and began teaching Inferno to sit and stay on command. It took an hour or so but after that time Jenna felt that Inferno had really grasped the idea of the training and had it down. She decided to test Inferno by releasing Sandy into the room. The Pidgey appeared and fluttered over to Jenna's shoulder. Inferno immediately lept up onto Jenna trying to reach the small bird for a better look, nearly knocking the girl over. "Inferno! Down!" Jenna hollered, pushing at the dog as Sandy peeped fearfully and flew up to sit on the ceiling fan. Inferno's bottom abashedly hit the floor. "Let's try that again....Sandy;" she smiled at the pokemon. "Can you go sit over there on that chair?" Jenna motioned to a high backed plush chair across the room and Sandy obediently went and perched on the back giving the fire puppy a nervous look. Inferno, sitting on the floor at Jenna's feet, quivered with excitement and anticipation.
