Teh Sena Okay so. Today my mom put a paper at my spot on the table, because that's where she puts stuff for me to pick up or look at. It was for a modeling company that's coming into town, and having thier little talent spoting deal close to where I live. I asked her why she put it there, and she says that she thought it would be cool or fun or something if I went down and entered. D: I might, I might not. Its on tuesday after school. I imagine alot of pretty girls will be there. I'm kinda scared, and I don't think I'm the kind of person they'd look for. I might do it, just to say I did. What do you wear to something like that? I'd still be in my school uniform, unless I changed and then, what do you wear? If I became a model, it would be like ironyx28937291837. But I fully accept that I would be most likely overlooked and such. OH DRAMA. I would say do it, just for the hell of it. I don't really know what you should wear though...er....something nice looking? (descriptive I know). And good luck if you do decide to do it.

Soleq Sena, that's not the thing that's happening at Arden, is it? This is at sunrise mall. But if you're talking about what I'm talking about, the sunrise mall version is on tuesday and the arden one on thursday. Then they have some laguna beach 'tard coming to arden on sunday. I assume she's a tard because she's on a show made by MTV. I'm a pathetic excuse for a human, but might as well do strange things before I have to pay taxes. LAWL @ SEVENTEENMAGAZINE. You get a free tshirt if you go. I's like a free tshirt.

Yeah, that's a classic scam. They'll get you in, get you hyped, tell you "oh yeah, you got the look all right" but then smash your hopes with "but you now gotta spend $3881998952 to get a full portfolio." They do this to sucker youngin's to get their parent's money. Pure and simple.
It's nice knowing the inner workings.

We watched a video on these in psychology class. I'm terribly curious as to how they do this. Plus, I wont spend more than $2 on art slides to apply to artschool. No way would anyone convince me to pay for photos of myself. Reminds my muchly of the college scholarship scams going around. Too bad the modeling industry dosen't know that I just wanted a free tshirt. XD Arden mall is like, 3 blocks from my school.

Sena's got it all figured out, along with her priorities in order. The job as a model would simply be a plus, the shirt is where its at. *salutes*
Ended up not going on my date on Sunday. Vanna (My date) ended up having to stay home to take care of her little sister who got sick. Normally I dont' think that would have been a problem, but she was babysitting. Oh well... And I really wanted to see Curious George!! >.>" She said we could do it some other time. Just hoping she isn't trying to get outta it. sweatdrop

Parents just don't know how to grab these companies by the balls.

So Katie broke down last night and she pretty much told me everything I already realized. We can either remain friends and be in a drawn out pain, or we can try to meet but it probably won't be enough and it wouldn't be fair to her to wait that long, or we could sever all ties and go through extreme emotional loss, but recover quickly. This really hinges on her, since I've been bracing for this for about three weeks now and I will support anything she decides. Besides, it is she who has a problem with waiting, not me.

Well yes, it's technically possible to use pictures not from a paid shoot, the people running those traveling shows will most likely just say "eh, they're okay, but we can do much better." Trust me, I've seen it before. Now, the best way to do it is to not go to those places, but instead submit directly to agencies (or best yet, have an agency contact you). Photos are photos are photos are photos. It doesn't matter who took them, as long as they look good.

Yup... I'm still alive. No worries. I haven't died yet. I've been so incredibly busy with school and practicum, I haven't had time to slow down until today. Two weeks ago, I got a tattoo. I know I post something about getting one, but I actually did it. Look! And before anyone asks, the sides say Breathe Symphonies. It's a line from my favourite Something Corporate song.

I loooooooove music. I am music. haha... That's cheesy. But yeah, I love music. I was in a singing competition today, and I advanced to the next round. Shocked the s**t out of everybody, cause no one knew I could sing. hahaha...
And it was only $54 and change. Not too bad. I love it. It healed incredibly fast too. So that makes me even happier.

OHKAY I went to the thing today. At Arden Mall. And I got my tshirt. It says "rock your prom" in glittery letters, so I might take the glitter off and paint a unicorn over it. zOr leave it as is as a momento of my youth.
It was funny, I had to go on the catwalk and stuff. D:
Horribly embaressing. Then these people who were all into the modeling thing were talking with me about the pagents they've run or been in. They asked why I was interested, and I told them it was because there was a free t-shirt involved.
XD
If I get a call back, I'll be sure to let you know. Doubt it~
There were also no companies there about portfolios and s**t. I suppose that's for later.

Strange. Perhaps it really was a scouting event, where they were just sampling the wares, so to speak.
On a side note, life is expensive.
