Teleka slowly made his way home, returning to the lands he had been born into and the lands he had left to find his sister. He had found her but she had been annoying him so much that he had changed his mind and left her for a while, he would return to get her at some point, for now, he had a pride to rediscover. He was willing to fight any idiotic lion that had tried to take over his pride, he was proud to be a firekin and coming home was painful.
The slaves had gone, all of them, and so had most if not all the pride. He could smell the faint scent of a lion or two, someone had been here. He shook his growing mane as he looked around. "Anyone here?" He sniffed the ari before moving the dust under his claws, no one was here, everyone had gone. Maybe he should find his sister sooner, and maybe a few rouges, breed and recreate the pride.

Ears perked at the sound of a voice and a head rose to look outside the den. The ever growing ebony mane of the youth was dusty from the floor of the cave but he cared little as he rose from his spot. Ears dissapeared amongst the scruffy black growth as Kimeti left the cool darkness of the cave to come fact to face with a newcomer. Golden eyes glittered dangerously as he eyed this lion. Head held high and chest puffed out the Prince moved forward to confront htie stranger. "Who are you." He grumbled out as he stopped mere feet from the newcomer. Claws were clearly on display, ready should this fool wish to start a fight. Even though there were a mere three lions living within the pride his mother and sister had been doing well enough on their hunts to feed the three of them contently. Kimeti was bulky with muscle as little fat could cling to his frame in such extreme heat. Moving arouns the pridelands was more than enough excercise to rid of the unwanted baggage. The youth was more than ready for a fight, in fact, he would much welcome a change of pace to the usual day.

Teleka looked at the male and snifed again, something seemed recognizable though he couldn't see how. The two were the same age. "I am Teleka." He just looked at the other male with his brown eyes. "It has been a while since I have been at home, my mother sent me to find my sister when i was still young, I found her, ahe annoyed me so I have left her for a while. I will return to get her soon though." He didn't say much else nor did he mention any names, he just looked at the other lion. He was red and black where as Teleka was red and white. Teleka hhad a mark just like his mothers though slightly different, that was his "trademark". Thats what he called it anyway.

Kimeti eyed the other. He did appear to be on firekin heritage, his pelt was more than enough to give anyone that impression, but he could be like his uncle Mwali who had left the pride to join another thefore a traitor to the pride.
Kimeti paced a bit, taking in a full view of the red and white pelted lion. Something about the scent of Teleka was familiar but nothing more. "Why should I believe what you say? I have lived in these lands my whole life yet myself and my brother whom has dissapeared from the pride were the only males to walk these lands."
He stopped his pacing infront of Teleka. "Why should I not attack you now?"
"Because he speaks the truth, Kimeti." The form of a red hued lioness emerged form the depths of the cave. Blue eyes contrasting deeply with her pelt.
Kinja walked forward and smiled at her son whom only rolled his eyes. Kinja chuckled softly at the heir before turning to look at Teleka. "It's nice to see you again, Teleka. It's a pleasing knowing you did not suffer from the plague that had ravished the lands."
Kimeti growled softly at his mother in a warning tone. Things were slowly changing in the pride and the youth was beginning to take the throne one step at a time, but his mother still clasped onto the position unbelieveing that her son was ready for the duties of kingship yet. It aggrivated the youth so. He loved his mother dearly, yes, but it was time for her to step aside but she would not hear of it until he was of age!

Teleka bowed his head to femme, a smirk on his face. "I returned to see what was left of the pride and to see if we could revive it, me and my sister. She is on her way, kind of, I was fed up with her bullying so well, I kind of abandoned her but I am sure she will find her way here at some point, she was only stupid once, being taken by the eagle has taught her a few lessons." He smiled and then turned to the other that was his own age, "Am I right in thinking we knew each other before?" He directed the question to the female as she would know more then the younger one did, Kimeti? Was that his name? It would do for now, at least.

Kinja smiled sweetly before sitting on the hot sand. "Well It'll be nice to see your sister again as well." She looked to her son whom was still quite unpleased witht he way things were turning out. Kinja couldn't help but worry that he had a little too much of his grandsire in him. Damn that Makadari for implanting his ideals and ways of thinking in Kimeti's head.
"Yes, you and Kimeti knew each other, only barely though." She turned back to Teleka. " I am sad to say that there is very little to salvage of the once great pride. Kimeti, Kwana, Kafara, and myself are the last remaining. The others have either perished or left the pride." She looked back at Kimeti who was glowering. "Of course, we will not leave unless the situation becomes dire. Soon Kimeti will take the throne to do what his father had so little time to do. I only hope that the others will return."

Teleka nodded though looked a little confused, "Does this mean may I ask, that unless more females came ot the pride, the pureblood will in some way, perish?" He and his sister were purebloods, their father died in the plauge from what he had heard though he was certain about anything. He did think it his duty to find the sisters of the new king though, after all, a king cant breed with is sisters now can he? Teleka had turned into a strange creature while wandering the deserts.

Kinja didn't hesitate with the nod of her head. "Yes, there are few and far between left of pureblood." Oh, how true that statement was but neither Teleka nor her son needed to know _how_ true.
Kimeti grumbled. "That's all fine and dandy." He said as he pushed past his mother. "But I don't think that someone who has lef the pride for so long should be welcomed back in with open paws." He glared at Teleka, golden eyes glittering with a fiery soul. "Makadari nor my father would have let him waltz back into this pride with no punishment for leaving and I surely will not allow it either." He turned back to his mother. "I _will_ see to it that he has a punishment. I know how lenient you can be mother, but he will serve for leaving the pride, even if it has to wait until I take the throne."
Kinja sighed but didn't say a word. Oh yes, Kimeti was much like his grandfather. The anger and cruelity was certainly there, but the softer, more gentle side that his father possessed was also within the fiery youth. It just had a much harder time of showing itself.

Teleka smiled, "So your not going to punish me now then? Or is it that if you family went missing you would not have obeyed your mother and found your sister who had been stolen from us, and avoid the plague, making sure at least one or two purebloods were left?" He had a snarl in his throat, he was not the cruel one of the twins, his sister took that role, but he had no problem with fighting, he had fought for his life ever since being sent away by his mother, and this was some leader if he wouldn't even carry out what he wished, even if Teleka thought he was stupid.

Teeth bared Kimeti walked right up to Teleka. "I would have not left the pride to search for a sister who was foolish enough to be taken by a bird. If she is unable to protect herself from that then she doesn't deserve to call herself a Firekin." Kimeti was just itching to pick a fight at this point but one thing his father had taught him was patience. If the other was foolish enough to start a fight with a Firekin prince then let _him_ make the mistake. Then he would have nothing to bicker about after he's pinned to the ground and nursing his wounds.
