Keladry gulped her latte as she digested what Merryn said. "Dont get me wrong, I love little Akki, but I dont think I've even seen her speak to a boy without blushing down to her toes. At a guess, I would say they met in the library buried in books."
She adjusted her skirt with a smile.

Laughing and twirling her hair a little, Ryn glanced around the room and shrugged. "Oh, and I love my brother obviously, he's the baby of the family and my sister and I really watch out for him." Scratching the back of her neck and straightening her halo with a slight frown she shrugged again, "Yeah," she continued on with what she was saying, "I wouldn't be surprised. That or the bookstore Akki lives in."
Elisabeth sighed and tried yet again to make herself more solid. Finally suceeding she took a seat across from Marie and smiled. "That really was a very good thing you did for that wolfman..." Beth said softly.

Yoshiko smiled, making mental notes about the local gossip. " Aww. That's adorable!" She giggled, a very cat-like expression sliding across her face. "And there are so many good places in the library to have a romantic little tryst..." The girl sighed dreamily, twisting a finger in the small ponytail that was tucked behind her ear.

So the spector was real or as real as she possibly could be. "Ah...well, it was nothing. I truely thought he was going to eat me at first." She blushed faintly, staring down at the table rather than staring at her which would have been rude. But the ghostly girl infront of her was rather pretty and would have made a nice model for another painting. "I didn't see or hear you come in... You truely are a ghost, aren't you?" She felt silly for asking such a thing butshe wanted to make sure that she wasn't losing it or imagining people since she hadn't been out much lately.

She smiled faintly and nodded her head, "My name is Elisabeth... I've been dead for at least a century." Sighing and letting her shoulders shake with it she looked up and smiled more broadly, "You can look at me if you want to," she commented, "I won't be hurt that you can see through me." This girl was trying to be nice! It was like a dream come true for Elisabeth. Playing with the folds of her skirt she waited for a reaction.
Merryn blushed and giggled behing a hand, then taking out her sucker she smiled happily and turned to Yoshiko, "You should see the love that floats on the air here." Finishing off her drink she asked the cup nicely to throw itself away before continuing, "It's almost contagious!"
((i'll be back and forth all day, but as soon as i find out what's wrong with me at the dentist's i should be here for good.))

Marie glanced up, smiling lightly to the girl. "I'm Marie. It's a pleasure to meet you." She looked her over, just as an artist would, and wanted to frown. Elisabeth was pretty and it was a shame that her life had ended so early. Marie almost wanted to ask what had happened to her but it would have been rude. She was brought up better than that. "I didn't want to seem like I was staring or anything. I've seen ghosts before but...none like you. Just startled me, I suppose."

Elisabeth was puzzled but happy that she wasn't being treated as just another wisp of cold air, "None like me," she asked, "What do you mean, Marie?" Fiddling she felt almost as if she were alive again, and it made her feel warm inside. Almost. "Remember to thank her," she thought to herself.

Marie blushed faintly, now fiddling with her empty glass. "Well, I mean like...someone so pretty and young. The ghosts I've seen weren't so...nice." It was an odd thing to talk about, especially with a ghost. No one else wanted to listen to her babbling when she had been at home. She swore that the palace had been haunted...but no one had believed her.

Nodding in understanding Elisabeth sighed again. "Most ghosts are unhappy about being dead, and I know how they feel... But why be angry when you can still do all you can to be part of the living in a way." Pausing and looking longingly at the empty glass the ghost girl shrugged it off and went on, "I am talking to you aren't I?" It was true, she felt almost alive and she couldn't believe it. She didn't want it to end, but she knew it would eventually.

A small giggle escaped Marie's lips. "Of course you're talking to me. Unless I'm crazy and talking to myself." She ordered another drink from the waitress, her fingers now playing with her pencil. "Some ghosts are angry because of what happened to them. The ones I knew did not die peacefully..."

Elisabeth would have teared up if she had any, "Those poor dears," she whispered. Remembering her own painful death she felt something inside her freeze. "I can see, " she said, "how they'd be angry."

Marie bit at her lower lip, frowning slightly. "How...how did you die?" She hoped the question wasn't too personal but curiousity had gotten the better of her. But she was glad to have finally met a nice ghost for once, not that her sister or anyone would really believe her.

Elisabeth shook her head in disbelief, "Are you sure you want to know? It's saddening really..." Touching at her stomach she sighed and looked to Marie for encouragement. "It's not that fascinating," she said, "I fell in love, and that's where it all began." Launching into it Elisabethe described how she had become pregnant and told to get it taken out of her. How she had tried to drink, prod, and pray it away; and how when nothing worked he had left her. "During birth I guess my heart gave out," she continued, "It feels now like I died of a broken heart."

Merryn laughed, "I know what you mean." Putting the nearly finished sucker back in her mouth, Merryn talked through it- "It's hard to believe in something so... Fictional. And then it hits you almost literally like a ton of bricks, and your heart hurts and your head aches but you don't care because it makes you warm and happy deep in the places of your heart you didn't know existed." Taking a deep breath she finished it off with a flourish of her hand and a seriously down face, "But I don't know what I'm talking about anymore."
