Lilliputti whined and barked at the bushes, but Gepardo picked up a rock, throwing it towards said shuberry just in case. "........what, no sudden death?"

The houndoom whined up at him and he chuckled. "Oh just use flamethrower on it."

Vana whimpered a bit as they wandered past the bloody trees she stuck close to Eros, this was scary, really scary. She had no idea how they would have make it out alive, that was a lot of blood surely the person who was attacked as dead by now. Would the be next? She shuttered and took a deep breath, no they had their pokemon right and there was a lot of them more than just the one person they could take down one vicious pokemon right? How strong could it be?

Remmy's whole body shook as he walk. He did not like this, he did not like this one bit. He held Squeeks even closer to him. "I don't like this.....I don't like this." He said to hiself over and over again. He wanted to to leave this place and fast.

If there ever was a path through these bushes, there was no way of telling now. The square drawn on the map led to this spot. Another wrecked site, though this one indicated towards a more violent end than the weather-beaten campsite. Twigs were hand-tied together in a familiar fashion. Though most were broken, clawed at, or chewed through.

Tuffs of fur and feathers trapped between the bindings told these cages had once held pokemon. A particularly intact crate was found large enough for a human. If you had to estimate, there was material for at least a dozen of these cages. But, there was more.

A few feet from the cages was two rocks mostly covered in sand. You would have paid no mind to a couple of rocks out in the wilderness, but you really wanted to go home and anything that could quite possibly be a step closer to leaving this place, you were going to check out.

Gepardo frowned as he looked over the site, walking to what was left of the campsite and tugging a tuff of fur free. "Hmm....." The journal had mention bunearies a few times, but he couldn't recall seeing any at all in their whole trip. They were a common enough pokemon, so where were they?

Turning away from the wreck, he search around with quiet contemplation as Lilliputti sniffed around, whinning softly, she didn't like this place. It smelled wrong.

"There is so little left of the campsite....there might not be a body at all..." He looked for more pages, but the place was very much 'what you see is what you get'.

Anise was surprised to find what looked like a map on the back of the journal pages. They seemed to be a random assortment of the pages, why would a map be on the back of them? But they had nothing else to go by, so she followed the rest of the group along the indicated path.

As they traveled past the slashed and blood-spattered trees, she grew increasingly uneasy. What had caused that? It must have been a rather large battle for the effect to be seen so many places. Still, there was a lot of people and pokemon here, they ought to be able to defend themselves if called on. Oki was certainly ready to do so, and he stuck very close to Anise, watching their surroundings warily.

When they came to the place the map indicated, it was evident this what where the caged pokemon had been kept, though all that was left was smashed wood and bits of fur and feathers. It was impossible to tell how long ago these had been used.

As Anise looked around for any clues at all, the only thing vaguely interesting was a couple of sand-covered rocks. With nothing better to do, she walked over to brush some sand aside and see if they held anything of note. Another mysterious map, perhaps, or even more blood splatters.

The smaller of the two rocks was heavily scraped on its pointed end. The larger rock was flat and about the size of a dinner plate. It was scraped most in the center.

"Those poor Pokemon," Magnolia said upon approaching one of the cages. She picked up a feather from it and turned it about solemnly. What those Pokemon might have went through was an unfathomable idea. Who would want to hurt them? Why did they?

The barren look of the campsite wasn't enough to make the fourteen year old want to look around anymore. There wasn't much to see anyway. She nodded silently to herself at Gepardo's comment; not that she wanted to see a body, but giving their remains a proper death would've been something she'd like to do.

Gepardo walked over to Anise, seeing the stones uncovered. "Interesting...." He tried to overturn the plate rock, hoping to find something carve on the other side. At this point he was hoping for anything that gave them enough of satisfaction to move on to more proper things, like trying to reconnect with civilization and getting rescue.

The down side of the large rock was smooth. But hey-- there was something else in the sand.

Anise examined the two rocks she'd found. "A small rock with the pointed end scratched up, a flat rock with the center scratched up..." she summarized as she pondered what such marks could mean. "Maybe the smaller was being used as a rudimentary wedge or cutting device on the larger? For chopping wood, if nothing else." Or for chopping meat, although that would be rather messy since the smaller stone didn't look very sharp. And anyway, there wasn't any signs of blood on the stones.

"Stones sometimes keep heat well if put over a fire, keep food warm, it could had just been use for cooking or to eat." Gepardo lazily wiped at the sand, spotting something shining back at him.

Gepardo uncovered a capped glass bottle. The outside had a fine layer of dust and dirt. The liquid inside was murky with crushed leaves sitting at the bottom.

Then, you heard a low growl.

Anise glanced over at what Gepardo had found. A bottle with liquid and crushed leaves inside? She wondered if she could figure out what kind of plant(s) was in there. Maybe it would provide some clue to the "cure". But before she could ask, they heard a low growl. Oki spun around, looking for the source and baring his teeth as a warning to whatever was growling at them.

Erika turned toward the direction the growling was coming from and Blaire stepped protectively in front of her.
