At the first bridge, he hesitated - the gap was wide, and the wind seemed to blow the thing hard enough that the already threadbare ropes securing it to either side could snap at any minute. He took one step, then another; increasing his speed as he reached the center. It groaned just as he was stepping off it onto the other side, and he heard the wrenching tear of the rope fibers starting to give. When he turned around, the bridge dangled limply in the air, one side pulled lose. Shaw gulped, laughing nervously. It was eerily quiet- And one was suddenly just there, a shadowy bird-woman leaking fog buffeting him with it's feathers- Until he knocked it aside with a powerful swing of his staff. Even if the path was different, Ruse was able to find the thing, weak looking bridge that she had crossed before.
