Mitsu had to give Shun's question some thought. It would probably be bad to admit she was eying the things she knew she shouldn't have. But they were sitting there within teasing distance, she could almost taste it.
"Fighting temptation I guess," she smiled nervously. When Xui had arrived once again Mitsu smiled at the baku but turned her attention to Mot and Mac who seemed to be memorizing what the grain of the table looked like. "You sure you're okay, Mot?" She didn't know Mac at all otherwise she would have asked him as well. "Do you need a drink or something?"

Danny stopped bouncing over to the table and suddenly haulted. "Roch don't say that," she said, seeming more sad than she should've been. "It's a very very sad thing to be alone." It was a belief that her mother had instilled in her since she was little. People were meant to go together. That's just the way it was, and there was definitely no way around it. None whatsoever. No arguments, no buts.
Explosions? Danny bit her lip for a moment, still not turning around to face him. It was true, Nurse Cricket had said a bunch of scary things in the classroom ... but Danny wanted to imagine that none of that existed.
Then she turned around and smiled at him. A complete 360. Roch's face was totally red! Was he getting a fever? Maybe he was hot from the dance floor? Squeaking, she realized it must've been her face. That must've been it. "Last one to the food table is a rotten egg!" She darted through the crowd bumping into a random boil on her way. She didnt even stop to check who it was, just shouted, "Oops my bad!" There was no way Danny was going to lose this race.

If only Lizzy knew. If only she knew.
But since she was blissfully unaware, both Mac and Mot would receive a head pat each as she went back to her seat, wondering what both boils were up to. Add a few squiggly lines in the background, and you would have a good picture of what a depressed atmosphere looked like.
"Are you sure you're fine? The both of you," She tilted her head, frowning at the two reapers, "You guys look rather.... Terrible."
At least she was full now so no more horrible eating (in her opinion) from her!

Dude, a race through a prom crowd? SO ON! He jumped into action, racing forward and placing one hand on the table blocking his way so he could jump over it, then doing it to the next table in his way as well. She just HAD to pick the straight way, he thought, this time knocking over a few plates as he kept table hurdling. "Got there!" he said, his hand touching the table and grinning up at Danny. "And I ain't gonna be lonely, I got you, right?" He didn't just say something romantic, did he? "And Demi and the Bandit, and hell, I'm sure I'll find more pals to hang out with!" he went on. "We're startin' an awesome club, remember?" He had actually eaten twice already, but hell, since he was there! He grabbed a plate.

Why were so many ghouls worried about him? Did he and Mac really look that bad? Mot chuckled, adjusting his hat while raising his head from the table. "My my, ladies~. Have I worried you that much?" The cowboil leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his neck, relaxing a bit from his mood. See? Mot bounces back.
He freed a hand from the back of his neck to wave a hand dismissively in the air. "I was just a little tired. No reason to worry your pretty faces over it~."

Shun stared at Mitsu for her answer but didn't really get the reasoning. He supposed she was just trying to curb back on the sweets in general, rather than one thing in particular. When the girls started to swarm the other reapers at the table, he glanced towards them before shaking his head to himself.
The cowboy seemed to have a sort of magnetism to him or something.

Oh Jack. Oh ever-scaring Jack someone save me. Mac groaned mentally, joining Mot's little meeting with a heavy thunk of forehead hitting table. He did, however, lift his head up when Tess expressed interest in having one of her own. Really? Really? What did he ever do to deserve thi---Okay, so maybe that list was a little long, but still! Not here!
"Y-yeah, sure." He murmured, offering a waivering smile. Oh jack, here goes nothing! Leaning up a little bit he stretched out an arm to grab a random eclair off of the plate, sitting with a fwump back down to place it in front of Tess as if it were something he would be happier if he never touched again.
...And there was that nickname again! Turning his head he turned to stare at Xiu, too busy being defeated by innuendo to frown at her. He still couldn't remember who she was, he was still drawing a very deep blank on that name of hers, but he was aware of a few things; one, she knew him, two; he likely wronged her before; three, she was giving him an escape. Now, the last one was the most important so, with a smile to Tess, he moved to get up. Luckily the little show had died down! Oh wait, her name was Xiu? That sounded familiar.
"Alright Alright." Demon or not, she was an escape and he was going to take it. "I'll be right back, Maritess." He told his date, tucking his chair back into it's proper place. "That's your fault, you should probably tone it down." He told Lizzy with a bit of a strain to his voice. At least she should be aware that she was the cause of the problem! With that, Mac moved to take Xiu out onto the dance floor, gingerly taking her hand from his sleeve to place it more properly on his arm, like a gentleman should.
He did, however, give Mot a playful swat upside the head as he left.
Yes, let them worry about that!

Before Tess could thank her date, Xiu had gone and spirited him away. Crimson eyes narrowed at the baku but she said nothing. Maritess wasn't going to cause a scene. Besides, she did arrive late, and probably only Lizzy would have known they were dates. So she instead comforted herself by taking the eclair her date had gotten for her and staring at it as intensely as some of those present were. Perhaps she was the only ghoul present not trying to see to how Mot was doing. She wasn't sure. Instead, she began to wrap her long tongue around the eclair, letting the tip scoop in just the bare hint of the icing.

Watching Mot kick back it seemed like he was alright after all. Smiling at him a little sheepishly Mitsu turned back to the table watching Tessa pick up an eclair, longingly wanting one of her own. They looked really tasty.
"...w..will someone eat the chocolate off one of the eclairs?....So I can have one?" Mitsu asked hopefully to anyone that would be willing to do it for her.

Rest assured, Tess - Riley was also completely unsympathetic to Mot's important meeting with the table.

Tess certainly appreciates the shared sentiment, Riley, and would have given the demoness a smile for it. However, at Lizzy's question, the winged vampire wasn't sure if she wanted to enlighten her friend of the innuendo. Did she really want to rob Lizzy of her innocence and subsequently reveal her own lack, thereof? Or could she bear to continue to let the spider ghoul unintentionally make lewd gestures and statements?
Thankfully, Mitsu posed a request Tess wouldn't mind fulfilling. Holding the end of her eclair just firm enough, Tess pulled at the pastry, her long tongue getting coated with the chocolate icing as she effectively licked it clean. "If there's chocolate icing inside, I'll be happy to suck it for you," she offered with a sweet smile and a suggestive lick of her lips.

West had intended to mingle, to talk to his... friends and maybe pick up something from the dessert table, but he had spent most of his time away from Holly alone, playing roulette and casting a couple of votes for prom court. The fact that he had done so at all made him feel a little bit sick, and that feeling only intensified as the next song began. He knew he had to actually dance with Holly at some point tonight instead of only in her general direction, but he certainly wasn't doing it to this.
He peered around the room, gaze passing over the table he and Holly had originally been sitting at and continuing on to where she was now. She was smiling. She and the tatzel were smiling. Together.
It took no time at all for West to cross the dance floor, the high pitched boilband screeching setting his teeth on edge and encouraging him to move even faster. He smiled at Levi when he reached them, but the expression was bitter and sarcastic. "Whatever sh'says 'bout me it's'not true."

"Hey, watch it!" Mot called after Mac playfully, adjusting his hat again.
Brat.
Aaaand now Tess was at it too, albeit... awkwardly. Were all these ghouls COMPLETELY daft!? Tone what down. Hah. That was it. Mot had to protect the sensitive mind set of the boils of the table once and for all. With his ego back in place, Mot sighed and got up from his chair. "Well, Lizzy..." Mot started, leaning down and cupping his hand over her ear, leaning in close enough to whisper to her... whisper of exactly what the boys thought of while she ate phallic food.
With that done, Mot picked up an eclair, smirking at Lizzy, then licking off all of the chocolate from the dessert, licking his lips and handing it to Mitsu. "I promise I don't have cooties." He grinned.

She was surprised to find that Mac accepted her request so easily. Considering the fact that they didn't get along very well (based off their first meeting, anyways) she thought he was going to protest and sprout off a few snarky comments before rejecting the offer. In fact, when he adjusted her hand on his arm, Xiu even made a show of glancing back to Lizzy, frowning, and mouthing, "I think something is wrong with Mac".
It wasn't that it wasn't nice to see him being courteous, but it was strange, and the Baku was unfortunately oblivious to the fact she had just dragged the reaper away from his date (something she would undoubtedly freak out over upon learning). As she was led to the dance floor, Xiu narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously, her gaze flickering to where her hand was lightly resting on his arm. "You must have been really desperate to get away if you agreed to dance with me without complaining." After another moment of staring at him, she smiled slightly and let go of his arm. "But we're here, so we might as well dance. I'll follow your lead, Mr. Grumpyface."
It was lucky that the song wasn't a slow one, granted that Xiu would have asked Vaith in that case and not Mac. They seemed to be getting along fine tonight, but it was likely that they would be back to getting on each other's nerves the moment prom was over.
