Tomasu reached a small clearning and sat down, watching the small image of the hospital in the distance. He suddenly got a cold shiver down his spine.
No, I cant go back until I can save Shiko's life. The nurse said theres only one thing that could save her..I have to find it...

::Kairo let go of Shiko and faced Shunketsu.::
"You have no business with me..As for Shiko, she needs to die in order to save the world. Even Shiko should know that!"
::Kairo glared at Shiko and shook his head.::
"Makes me sad to know that you will not accept your fate, just because of one human being. Shiko Shinuki, if you love someone that much. Then allow yourself to die!"
::Kairo did a few hand seals and disappeared into the night. He then reappeared a few feet away from Tomasu. He turned around and frowned at him.::
"I implore you to stay away from Shiko Shinuki. You stay by her side, and you will cause the whole world to fall under chaos. Besides, a Shinuki cannot love anyone so listen to my words!"
::Kairo walked away.::
::Meanwhile::
::Shiko held her throat and coughed out blood. *thinks* No...Give me more time! I just need another week or two...* She then stood up and ripped a part of her shirt off and tied it around her wound on her hand. She looked at Shunketsu and smiled.::
"I am glad to see you are okay..How is Kaida?"

The sudden rage that filled Tomasu allowed the demon's power to leap forth momentarily, causing Tomasu to lose breath while he forced the power back.
He watched Kairo walk away, knowing there was no use in trying to fight him now
(which was very strange for Tomasu, usually being the type to jump straight in)
As soon as Kairo was a long distance away Tomasu grabbed on to Ryuusei's claw and asked him to fly back to the hospital, there was no other choice in his mind.

::Shiko looked outside, *thinks* I know what you mean Kairo, but I just cannot allow myself to die for you..I am sorry..* Shiko shook her head, and frowned. She had no idea what to do anymore. Shiko walked past Shunketsu and out the door, she then jumped to the roof. She nearly fell and grabbed onto a branch nearby. Shiko forced herself up coughing.::
"Why must I be so damn weak?! Kairo, you knew of my weakness..Didn't you?"
::Shiko curled up and rested her head on her knees sighing.::

*Shunketsu only watched as Shiko did what she did...it pained him to see one of his strongest friends so weakened...*
*Shunketsu left one bouquet of flowers by Shiko's bedside...he knew it was useless going up, trying to talk her into letting them in on what's going on...because...he knew that her heart wouldn't tell them anything that would get them in harm's way...they would just have to forcefully tag along and wait...he let out a sigh, covered his namigan, stuffed some pillows in Shiko's blanket so a passing nurse would think she's sleeping and not on the roof, took the other bouquet, and walked out, closing the door behind him...*
Shunketsu: she doesn't trust any of us...not me, not Motoko, not even Tomasu...but she'll learn...
*a passing-by nurse thought she saw two Shunketsus heading in opposite directions, but rubbed her eyes, looked again to see only one, and continued her rounds...she passed Shiko's room, looked through the window, and smiled*
Nurse: good...she's resting...finally...*she continued on, beginning to hum...*
*Shunketsu was heading for Kaida's room, but noticed Kaida by a window...so he walked up...and placed the bouquet next to her on the windowsill*
Shunketsu: feeling any better?

::The wind blow Shiko's hair into her face, but she ignored it. She looked up at the sky, and frowned. *Thinks* You left me again Tomasu..Why? Why did you leave me here?!* A tear fell slowly down Shiko's face.::
"(dragon tongue) You are much like Kioki, Shiko.."
::Shiko turned around to see Chiiro staring at her.::
"(dragon tongue)Hello Chiiro, I thought you were sleeping."
::Chiiro rested against Shiko and glared at her.::
"(dragon tongue) No I was hunting, and while I was doing just that..I saw Kairo.. He did not talk to you again did he?"
::Shiko frowned.::
"(dragon tongue) He did.. He wants me to kill myself to save the world.. Chiiro, I dont understand why..I know the Shinuki clan was never meant to be..But why is it me that has to make people suffer? If that is the answer to this, then I will.. I should've died with the rest of them!!"
::Shiko pounded her fist on the roof and created a large dent. Shiko looked away from Chiiro and closed her eyes.::
::Chiiro growled angrily.::
"(dragon tongue) Dont be stupid Shiko!! Kioki wanted you to live!! That is why she sacrificed her life for you, do not let that go to a waste! Shiko, you have always told me when you were a child that being a Shinuki was a blessing not a curse..You told me that looking different from everyone else and being proud of your clan is not a shame!! Why do you feel differently? Why is being a Shinuki so bothersome now? Just because you cannot live a peaceful life like everyone else? Just because mere humans try to kill you? Shiko, if you are truly Kioki's daughter, then start acting like it! When I first saw you when you were born, Kioki told me that you will save the Shinuki clan and bring peace! She said you will become the future Kazekage..And look, you are!"
::Shiko looked at Chiiro and nodded.::
"(dragon tongue) Thank you Chiiro."

Tomasu let go of the claw of ZRyuusei and dropped to the ground running into the hospital, he saw Shunketsu before anyone else.
"Wheres Shiko?! Is she OK?! I ran into that b*****d Kairo! Did he hurt her?!"

::Chiiro growled slightly and motioned to Shiko.::
"(dragon tongue) Tomasu is back.. Shiko, I'll leave you alone to think about this..It is completely your decision. But, before you decide..Talk to Kotoro okay? Kioki talked to Kotoro a long time ago, and in the end she used her ability to become a dragon to save you..The Shinuki clan is suppose to die out to save the one they love..If Kairo assumptions are correct, you will save Tomasu one day and allow yourself to die..Shiko, right now is not the time for you to die.. Please take better care of yourself, until you are meant to die..I do not want to lose the last Shinuki just yet."
::Shiko stood up quickly and growled at Chiiro.::
"(dragon tongue) I do not love Tomasu!!"
::Chiiro smiled at Shiko and narrowed his eyes.::
"(dragon tongue) That is like saying a moth does not like light..Dont give me that Shiko."
::Shiko looked away and thought for a moment, she then smiled at Chiiro.::
"What if I build the Shinuki clan back up? I could do that right?"
::Chiiro growled and started to laugh.::
"(dragon tongue) Shiko, do you know what that requires? Just to get it started the Last Shinuki would have to have a child."
::Shiko sat there confused for a moment then her eyes widen.::
"Shinuki clan is dying with me..."
::Chiiro shook his head and lifted up in the air.::
"(dragon tongue) Shiko, sometimes you can be foolish..However, I understand what you are saying."
::Chiiro flew off into the night.::
::Shiko growled angrily.::
"No way in hell am I going to have children you stupid dragon!!!"

Kaida's eyes were unfocused as if looking at something far, far away. Hearing the voice of a friend she jumped a little, but relaxed at seeing Shunketsu. Her body was bandaged slightly in places and in other places it looked as if she had never been hurt at all.
"The doctors fixed me up." She picked up the bouquet and ran her fingers over the flowers before setting them aside and rising to her feet. She was slightly pained in doing so but didn't let it show on her face as she slid her arms around Shunketsu and hugged him. It was strange for her to hug someone she knew so little of, but she cared little about that and as she slipped away the turned back to the window her reflection seemed sad.
"How is Shiko?" Her voice was soft and it seemed to carry worry in it as well as other emotions not usually shown in Kaida. Kaida had always tried to be the brave, emotionless girl or just a plain out bad girl but, now she had a few people in her life to care about. "Well?"

"Either I have to have a child, or allow the clan to die out with me..What am I to do? Kioki, why did you make me have to go through such a terrible fate?"

*Tomasu had run into Shunketsu's clone...who was searching the hospital to make sure Kairo was really gone...*
Clone: Shiko's on the roof...her wound's a bit messy, but she'll live...she seems disturbed...all I remember is something about clans...
::meanwhile::
*Shunketsu was a bit taken back by the sudden hug, but didn't refuse it...*
Shunketsu: Shiko's...umm...well...fine at the moment...she had an unexpected visitor...but he didn't stay long...ran away before he could be escorted out...anyway...as soon as you heal up...we're all heading outta here...even though we're supposed to be on vacation, Shiko needs us, whether she'll admit it or not...but then again...it is your vacation...you should head back to the inn...and forget about us trouble-makers...

::Shiko jumped down from the roof and tried to catch her feet. Shiko fell weakly and growled angrily. She held her ankle and winced.::
"Why am I so weak? Is it because I am allowing people to be close to me?"
::Shiko stood up and fell back down to the ground. She hit her ankle angrily and growled. She forced herself to stand and ignored the pain. Shiko limped through the village looking at the different stores. She noticed the one where she found her father's shurikens and stopped. *thinks* Father...Where are you? Are you okay?* Shiko shook her head and walked away from the store.::

"Thanks!" Tomasu jumped up onto the roof and found that Shiko wasnt there, a bad feeling started flooding his body.
He jumped down, landing easily and saw a drop of blood, and footprints leading away.
He followed them into the village and asked everyone he saw if they had seen Shiko.
He kept going until he saw her limping down the streets.
"SHIKO-CHAN!!!!" he shouted, both angry and relieved. He sprinted to
her side "are you alright??"

Tomasu clenched his teeeth
"YOU ARE NOT THERE! THATS WHATS WRONG! HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET BETTER WHEN YOU KEEP RUNNING AWAY?!?! AND NOW THAT b*****d KAIRO IS RUNNING AROUND THE STREETS!! WHY DO YOU WANT TO JUST THROW YOUR LIFE AWAY?! STOP BEING SO SELFISH!!!!"
All of a sudden he remebered he was in public and he began to go red from embarrassment.
"Im going back to the hospital now...If you care about us, and yourself, you will too...." and with that he turned and began walking back through the streets
