Always...

Kedrick couldn't help but smile at her reaction, the way her face lit up, looking like it was glowing. He placed his hands on the hood of the car, feeling the heat beneath his palms and pushed himself the rest of the way up from his relaxed position. Kedrick ran his fingers though his dirty blond hair and grinned. "Of course." He replied, circling around the front of the car and opening the drivers door. He looked back for a moment at the estate, all it's lights off and all locked up. It would be several days till they where home, but Kedrick knew that the estate would be fine. No one had ever tried to break in before and Kedrick highly doubted that it would happen any time soon.

Kedrick slid into the drivers seat, leaning over the passengers side to pop open Arielle's door for her, a smile still lingering on his lips. "Your carriage madame." He joked lightly, adopting a slightly British accent as he said it. Kedrick straightened from where he had been leaning over and wrapped his fingers around the steering wheel, reaching up one hand to adjust the review mirror.

It was going to be a wonderful trip, that much he was sure of. Kedrick had no clue exactly what all they where going to do, in that sense it had been left pretty open. But he was positive that what ever he, Dimitri, and the girls found to do, that it was going to be a week to remember.

Arielle smiled and realized that this would be the first time she had spent a few days away from Kedrick's estate. Of course, it was like her life at his estate would be put on hold, paused until she returned from her camping trip. She had never loved a home more than her grandparents', and Kedrick's was the second she loved being in more than anything.

While Arielle was entertaining her already sentimental thoughts, she heard the car door open and Kedrick's voice. She giggled at Kedrick's British accent, thinking he did a well enough impersonation than she ever could. Her father was always the best though, something that she remembered before he and her mother died. She thanked him and slid in, closing her door and fastening her seat belt.

"I'm so glad we get to go camping," Arielle said with a happy sigh, making herself comfortable for the long trip. "How long is the trip going to take? Because I'm probably going to drift off into the land of dreams. Shouldn't have stayed up late making sure everything was together." She smiled nervously and laughed quietly, but she knew that she couldn't help it. Plus, it made her feel good that she could work like she used to now that all of her wounds were healed.

Always...

Kedrick glanced over at Arielle, double checking that she had her seat belt on. After something like the whole Jonesy ordeal, there was no way he was going to loose her to something like a car crash. Digging around in his pocket, Kedrick withdrew a crumpled sheet of paper, straightening it out the best he could and taking a glance at it. It was the page that he had printed out the directions Dimitri had given him. "According to this.." He said, tapping the wrinkled paper with his index finger. "It's not too far from here...about a twenty minute drive, but you can dose for that time I'm sure." He said with a soft laugh, before setting the paper down and sticking the key in the ignition.

Kedrick started the car, driving along in relative silence, allowing Arielle to sleep if she wanted to. Some of the directions where familiar to Kedrick and he didn't have to look at the ones Dimitri had given him too much. In the span of silence Kedrick let his mind wander as he drove, briefly, Kedrick wondered if Dimitri would get lost, his friend never did have a very good sense of direction. But then he shook his head, dismissing the worrisome notion. Dimitri had, after all, been the one to pick out their camping location, and he had been camping there once before. So Kedrick cheered himself with the thought that Dimitri and Maria would be right there waiting, and if not, arriving shortly after them.

Before too long, Kedrick had pulled down a narrow dirt road that was occasionally pitted with pot-holes. The car rocked slightly and Kedrick flinched, realizing that he had overlooked one of the pot-holes. After a moment, the car rolled to a stop, gravel crunching under it's tires. "Here we are." Kedrick said with a smile.

As Kedrick looked through the window, he saw that Dimitri had been right about everything he had described to them over their Spanish meal. There was a nice, flat, grassy area where they could pitch their tents, and a fire pit in the middle. Leaning against the old pit was a weathered cooking grill that could be placed over the fire pit and cooked on. Past a few red and gold leaved trees, Kedrick could see the edge of the lake Dimitri had described, reflecting the brilliant blue sky, white sparkling off of it's surface like little diamonds. The young man couldn't help a smile as he opened the door and stepped out, feeling the warm breeze on his face. "This is perfect!" He exclaimed, leaning on the open car door and surveying the camp site. "Wait until Maria sees this! She's gonna love it!" Kedrick grinned, murmuring under his breath. "Dimitri, you're a genius!"

"Dozing certainly does sound wonderful...," Arielle murmured with a light smile, already looking like she was going to do just that. Even if the car drive was about twenty minutes, she knew she'd be out like a light in about three seconds. As Kedrick pulled off and started driving to their destination, Arielle definitely fell asleep in the first five minutes. Though she was out like a light, she still felt like she could sense everything around her. But that was most likely her exhaustion getting to her.

Arielle's sleep wasn't long enough to give her a dream, but it didn't stop her body from doing so. She couldn't quite explain the dream, only that it concerned her. Almost like this dream was telling her something. Before the dream could shift and become worse, she heard Kedrick announcing that they had made it, freeing her from the approaching nightmare, the sound of his voice calming whatever frightening thoughts she had in her mind.

She opened her eyes slowly, blinking to get accustomed to the light again. After a quick yawn, Arielle looked around and saw the beauty of the place that Dimitri had picked out for them. She was really impressed with the sight of it, especially with it being her first time. It was like this little area was their own little haven for the week, and a wonderful haven it was. She smiled at Kedrick's enthusiasm and wondered just exactly would be her best friend's reaction.

Maria had taken longer than she expected to leave the house. Her mother kept pestering her, making sure that she had everything she needed. Now that her brothers had gone back to school, her mother could focus more of her attention on her daughter. Maria didn't hate it at all, but she was trying to not be late for meeting with her friends. After her mother checked her bags and everything for about the twentieth time, she finally let her daughter go.

Her father had to leave for work early, but he already talked to her about his concern for being out in the woods for so long. Even though she would be with trusted friends, he still had to make sure his little girl was alright. So he gave her an extra walkie talkie to make sure that if anything bad happened and they had no service, he would be on his way in a matter of seconds.

Like that would actually happen, Maria thought with a small laugh as she packed everything in her car. It technically wasn't hers, it was her brothers, but since they could use basic transportation for school, they lent the car down to Maria.

With a final wave to her mother, Maria got into the car, fastened her seat belt and drove away from her home. From the directions that Dimitri had given her, the ride should take her close the thirty minutes. She only hoped that was the case. She would've hate getting stuck in traffic when the rest of the gang were waiting for her.

Dimitri crouched on the floor by the door of his apartment. Things where strewn about all around him as his apartment with still in it's usual messy state. The dark hair boy dug through his bag, making sure everything he would need for their week of camping. He had packed some extra stuff in case something unexpected happened, he didn't know just how unexpected things where going to get. Dimitri sighed softly, glancing at the clock on the wall. Now that he had checked, double checked, and triple checked for sun screen he figured he was ready to go. Dimitri, with his fair skin, burnt very easily, and the last thing he needed to add to a fun week was a nasty sunburn.

Kedrick smiled to himself, closing the car door and stepping out away from the vehicle. He walked over to the fire pit, poking curiously at the remains of the charred logs that lay in the bottom. He had brought some wood in case it would be hard to find, but looking around now, Kedrick saw that that wouldn't be a problem at all. The young man hesitated for a second, having sworn he had heard something. After a moment, what it was that he had heard became more obvious, and a grin spread across Kedricks face. Kedrick tipped his chin up slightly, listening to the quiet rumble of an approaching car. "We've got company!" He called over his shoulder.

Dimitri pulled into the campsite, parking his car next to Kedrick's. He smiled at the sight of his two friends and opened the door, sticking his head out. The campsite was as nice as he remembered, and they couldn't have picked a nicer day. Dimitri had of course checked the weather report and most of the week would be like this, except for a few overcast day, but Dimitri thought a little bit of rain would be exciting.

Kedrick stuffed his hands in his pockets, walking over to Dimitri, a small smirk in place on his features. "Morning Dimitri." He said conversationally.

Dimitri looked up, smirking back. "Go on Kedrick, say it. I know you're thinking it." He insinuated, his eyes narrowing in a playful frown.

Kedrick raised an eyebrow. "Say what?" He asked innocently.

Dimitri slugged his friend lightly across the shoulder. "Go on, Say that I'm a genius." He joked standing directly in front of him, his arms folded across his chest.

Kedrick looked at him flatly for a moment, and then grinned. "Okay, fine, you're a genius. Now it's been more that a week, don't I get a hug?" He asked, still smiling.

Dimitri returned Kedrick's flat look when he asked for a hug, just staring at him for a second. The he too couldn't help but smile. "If I have to." He said, with emphasized reluctance. He give Kedrick a hug, glad to see him again, and then pulled back, looking past him at Arielle. "Morning Arielle!" He called to her, raising a hand. Dimitri stepped past Kedrick and walked over to her, hands in his pockets. "Ready for this week? He asked, canting his head to the side.

After shaking whatever sleep was left in her system, Arielle got out of the car and stretched, which she found she did often. She looked again at where they would be at for the upcoming week, wanting to take everything in with her own eyes. She wanted to make sure that she would always remember this place, even if they did bring a camera. She felt like a mental memory would be more worth it than a physical memory.

Not long after, Arielle heard Kedrick mention something about having company and wondered if it was Dimitri, Maria, or the both of them together in one care like what she and Kedrick have done. However, she had to scratch that last one since the only way she would've gotten there was through Kedrick, and she knew that Maria would use her own car.

She turned her attention to the newcomer and was happy to see that Dimitri had come. Arielle then wondered how far away Maria was and hoped she wouldn't be too late like at the picnic, especially since he was panicking the last time.

She walked close to the boys, keeping quiet and letting them speak. She smiled at the two of them as she enjoyed their friendly conversation. she giggled and responded to Dimitri, raising her own hand up, a bright grin on his face and nodded. As he walked closer, she found herself nodding again, even though she knew that actual words would be a lot better than silence, so she would give him just that.

"Well, first of all, good morning, Dimitri," Arielle said sweetly, "And I am definitely ready for this week. I've been waiting ever so patiently and I'm glad that the day has finally come. However, I'm surprised that you and Maria didn't come here together. I would've thought, but then, knowing Maria, that would be better. You never know what she'd back."

She chuckled lightly and again her mind wandered where her friend was. Before she could bring up the question, she felt her phone vibrate and took it out of her pocket. She was surprised that she still had some bit of service, but she knew that wouldn't last for long. She read the text message, noticing that she wasn't the only one who received it, especially since it started off with 'Hey guys'.

I hope nothing bad happened with Maria..., Arielle thought worriedly before reading the message and sighing slightly in relief before shaking her head. "Oh Maria," she muttered before chuckling to herself.

Hey guys,

Maria here. So... I somehow managed to get myself stuck in traffic. Go figure, no? Probably would have missed it had my mom not kept me in the house for an extra twenty minutes and rechecking all of my belongings. I'm not sure how long it'll take me, but I hope this traffic won't last for too long. I'm sorry I have to make you all wait D:
Keeping my fingers crossed that this is nothing too major and I'll be there in under an hour.

Love you all,

Maria~

Maria wanted to slam her head against her steering wheel. How in the world had she gotten stuck in traffic? She didn't even know why it was so busy that day, so it most likely had to have been an accident. If she wasn't trying to remain calm for the sake of her driving, she knew she would go off in a tangent in angry Spanish.

Luckily, because of the sluggish traffic, Maria was able to send a quick message to Arielle, Dimitri, and Kedrick about being late. She had no idea how service was or who's phone would work, but she sent the message to them anyway. She knew that Dimitri would probably panic, even if she said she was fine, but with Arielle and Kedrick there, she knew that he would keep his calm. Hopefully.

Dimitri felt his smile widening as Arielle talked about assuming the two of them would ride together. "You kidding me?" He asked, and then snorted derisively. "No, I haven't had a chance to clean up my car yet, it would probably eat her." He said, and then laughed softly, although frankly, from what Dimitri knew of the inside of his car, the mental image was rather scary. "It's bad enough that she'll be seeing my house, I don't need to add to her trauma by letting her in my car." The dark hair boy said with a light-hearted grin.

Kedrick smiled over at his friend. "You're a real slob you know that?" He asked teasingly, knowing that it was 100% true and Dimitri knew it. Dimitri was very bad about keeping anything clean, and it showed in his clothing, house, and now, quite obviously, in his car.

Dimitri opened his mouth, about to protest and begin one of the constant back-and-forth banters, when he stopped, one finger raise, mouth open. Slowly, a smile spread across his face, and he looked down, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. He glanced up at him though the strands of his rather unkempt black hair, a smirk still on his lips. "You know you're right?" He asked, and then straightened again. He could tell that Kedrick was preparing another commented, when both where distracted by the loud buzzing of Arielle's phone. 'maybe it's Maria...' Dimitri thought hopefully. He walked over, standing beside Arielle and reading over her shoulder, out of the corner of his eye he could see Kedrick following suite. His eyes scanned the text message and he felt a small frown beginning to appear between his eyebrows. "Hope she'll be okay..." He murmured quietly. "I mean...traffic, I know that usually means it's slow but there could still be an accident..."

Kedrick looked over at Dimitri, feeling a slight stab of pity for his friend. "I'll be fine Dem." He reassured with a gentle smile. "Maria knows what she's doing, I'm sure she'll be okay." He walked around Arielle and put a hand on Dimitri's shoulder. He knew him well enough to know that if Dimitri wasn't set to a certain task, he'd worry endlessly until she got here, so that meant that it was time to step in. "Come on," Kedrick said encouragingly. "Let's go get started on setting up the tents M'kay?"

Dimitri glanced up at Kedrick, a worried expression still on his face, but he nodded wordlessly in agreement.

Kedrick smiled and patted his shoulder. "Great, come on." He said, waving for him to follow him over to his car. Kedrick opened to trunk of his car, having to lunge to keep the many bags and plastic totes from falling out. Dimitri stepped up to help him support the crumbling wall of stuff and between the two of them they got it stabilized again. "Okay..." Kedrick said under his breath, grabbing the strap of the bag that the two tents where in. He began tugging on it with a grunt, until finally it pulled free, sending Kedrick stumbling back a pace, the bag swinging wildly from it's strap. After he had regained his balence, Kedrick looked up at his friend, glad to see the barest hint of a smile there. "Okay, I've never set up a tent before and you have, you you'll have to show me." He said with a smirk.

"Yeah when I was like...seven." Dimitri said, a playful scowl touching his face. "That was year ago, I'm never gonna remember."

Kedrick laughed. "Alright then, we'll just have to figure it out together."

"It's a good thing she didn't drive with you then," Arielle said with a teasing grin, "It'd be sad if she wouldn't be able to enjoy herself on this wonderful camping experience had your car decided to actually eat her. And don't worry about the house thing, Dimitri. Maria will start cleaning it like crazy. She has a worse OCD about messes than I do."

She smiled lightly at her statement, knowing that despite the fact that she helped clean up around the estate, she could be a bit lazy. Maria was a bit more orderly, and even if she got lazy, the one thing she couldn't stand was an overbearing mess that activated her "Need to clean" urge.

She listened to the boys speak, a light smile on her face before they had also received Maria's message. Since they all got it, she wondered if her friend thought that maybe one or none of them would get it. At least we were informed instead of having Dimitri go into a panic attack, Arielle thought with a small sigh. She didn't say anything as Kedrick did his job making sure that Dimitri remained calm.

While they went off to set the tent up, Arielle thought it was best to start unpacking what was in their cars and getting things set up before probably having to put the rest of their stuff back in the car for future use.

Be careful getting here, Maria, Arielle added in her thoughts before getting back to her task at hand.

(Don't know what to do with Maria since she's stuck in traffic, so here we go~.)

Soon the two friends where kneeling on the flat, grassy area, the pieces of the tent strew around them. Kedrick had his legs crossed underneath him, a piece of crinkled paper in one hand, his other rested on the top of his head in a puzzled gesture.

Dimitri sat just next to him, legs folded, chin in his hand. "Why is she always late?" He asked quietly, to no one in particular. He sighed quietly, looking over at Kedrick, although he hardly expected him to answer.

To his surprise, Kedrick did, looking up to meet his gaze. "Don't ask me," He said, shrugging helplessly. "But it dose seem to happen a lot."

Dimitri nodded miserably, picking idly at a long pole that had been lying on the ground. "I feel bad of her future husband, she'd probably be late on her wedding day..."

"Well there's no use feeling sorry for you're self." Kedrick said with a hint of a smirk on his lips, hopping that Dimitri had caught what he had actually meant.

Dimitri looked up, scowling at him. He opened his mouth, and then decided that silence would be his best avenue. After a long moments pause, he stood up, picking up a few of the tent pieces. "Come one lord sarcasm, these tents won't pitch themselves."

Kedrick smiled innocently at him, in a way that reminded Dimitri very distinctly of Kyla. "I was under the impression that if we sat here and stared at them long enough they would." He said, cocking his head to the side. He was meant by a black look. Maybe Dimitri wasn't in the mood for jokes. Kedrick smiled and hoisted himself to his feet. "Okay. Let's get to work."

So close..., Maria thought with an impatient sigh. Fifteen minutes after she had sent that message, she had managed to make some sluggish movement from where she was to her freedom from the traffic. As she did get closer, she noticed how somehow someone managed to get themselves in an accident. The damage wasn't too bad, but she didn't understood could get into an accident when there were barely any conditions that made accidents more susceptible.

"I guess it was some idiot driver then," Maria muttered, knowing that the person was either driving under the influence, texting, or something else they shouldn't be doing in the car. Her wait to reach the front ended not that long after, and as soon as more cars were spread out, she picked up her speed just a little bit before going over the limit by about one mile.

I'm on my way, guys, Maria thought, hoping that they weren't waiting for her for too long. She had tried to get out of the house early enough so that she would already be there, but leave it to her mother to be overly paranoid right before she left.

Luckily, Maria didn't drive into any more situations that would delay her from enjoying her week with her closest friends and amazing boyfriend. The drive took her another twenty to thirty minutes as she neared the destination, slowing down a bit so that she could find the rest of the group. Not too long after, she noticed familiar cars and wanted to rejoice. She had finally made it and now they were all together again.

Arielle looked up at the sound of another car approaching and felt like she could just drop her stuff and run over to her friend. She was glad to know that Maria had made it safely and things could finally get going. She walked over to her friends car slowly, waiting for her to park and get out before picking her pace up a bit and giving her a hug.

"You must love coming fashionably late, no?" Arielle teasingly asked as she let go of her friend, a small smile on her face.

Maria snorted and rolled her eyes, a light laughter escaping her. "When it's something like a dance or something, yes," Maria answered, knowing how true Arielle was about that, "But not for this. I actually wanted to be here on time. However, papá wasn't at home to keep mother calm, so I ended up coming late."

"Well. your mother does tend to do that a lot, Maria," Arielle commented with a light giggle, "But at least her worrying was worth something and here you are safe and sound. How was that traffic by the way?"

"It was just dandy," Maria replied with a light sarcastic tone that caused both girls to smile, "Someone must've not been paying attention to the road and was eventually in their accident. From what I saw, no one was hurt. Just the cars."

"Well that's good then," Arielle said with a small smile, knowing how Maria gets about certain aspects of people driving on the road when she's driving.

"Now," Maria started slowly, looking over at the guys, "Do I get some kind of love here or what?" She asked her question, making sure to raise her voice loud enough for them to know that she had finally arrived.

Kedrick looked up as he heard Arielle greeting Maria, and a slow smile spread across his face. He glanced over quickly at Dimitri, seeing that he too had noticed the arrive of Maria, and now looked like he was ready to sprint over. He smiled, and reached over, grabbing his arm. "Hang on a sec, let the girls get through their greeting's first."

Dimitri looked over at him quickly when he felt the touch on his arm, realizing the second after Kedrick had pointed it out that he was tense with excitement. He smiled uncertainly and the stood up, relaxing into his regular cool, casual position. He pulled Kedrick to his feet and the two boys abandoned the first tent and the second half finished tent when they heard Maria call over to them.

Kedrick walked over to Maria. "Of course!" He said, with a grin, stepping forward to hug her. He pulled back, his eyes bright with excitement. "It's good to see you again Maria." Kedrick glanced over at Dimitri who, despite his cool, relaxed slouch, looked eager to see her. With a small smile, Kedrick obliged and stepped back.

Dimitri stepped forward immediately, nodding once to Kedrick and stopping in front of Maria. He smiled in an almost shy manner. "Traffic huh?" He asked quietly, and then grinned, pulling her into a tight hug. It felt good to have her here, and even though she was dressed for a week of camping, he still thought that she was the most beautiful creature he had even laid eyes on. He pulled back a bit, his arms still loosely around her waist. "That's okay." He said, canting his head to the side. "Better late then never hmm?" With a slightly flirtatious smirk, he leaned him, kissing her lightly on the lips. The sun felt warm on his face and his heart fluttered in his chest, his fingers tingling slightly as he reached up to brush some hair back from her face. He pulled back, smirking. "That was also overdue." He said with a soft laugh.

Dimitri hadn't actually seen her since the barbeque, and he had missed having her around. Her energy and her smile had become a bright spot in his life. When ever he had had a bad day, a hard test at school, or something had drug him into thoughts of the past, he had been able to visualize her smile and somehow, it made things a little bit better.

Dimitri brushed some of his dark hair out of his eyes, his pale face practically glowing. "I hope you're ready for this week, now that you're here the real fun will get started." He said with a grin.

Kedrick nodded his agreement. "Dimitri and I need to finish pitching the last tent and then we can do something fun, I was thinking we could go canoeing." He said, jerking a thumb over to the lake. They could see that down the shore of the lake, there was a small shack with racks of paddle boats and canoes outside. Within a short walking distance, they would be able to rent a canoe or two and have a wonderful time on the water.

It's so good to see them again, Maria thought as she saw both Dimitri and Kedrick pitching up the tents before they headed over to her. She smiled brightly and hugged Kedrick, still finding moments like those where she saw Kedrick almost as a brother as well as a wonderful friend. When he mentioned how he was happy to see her again, Maria nodded, knowing that she had been thinking that earlier. "When is it ever not good to see me, Kedrick?" Maria asked jokingly as he backed away before she turned her attention to Dimitri.

Instantly, millions of thoughts and feelings ran through her as she looked at him. She laughed shyly and nodded, not understanding why she felt more nervous around them than usual. Her heart soared as he hugged her, and from just that simple touch, she never wanted to let go of him. Let her stay there with him forever, hugging him until the end of time. There was nothing she rather do, than to be with him for an eternity.

"You just had to love a girl who tends to be fashionably late," Maria teased, a playful smile appearing on her face. As he kissed her, she once again had that feeling that the world had melted away or that it paused. That it was only the two of them, so in love, so happy.

Arielle walked over to Kedrick, smiling as her friends had a loving reuniting moment. She leaned her head against him, keeping silent and enjoying the happy moment between her friends and the peaceful feeling of the park.

I missed him brushing my hair, Maria thought with a small lovesick smile after Dimitri had parted from her. She giggled in return and nodded, knowing how true he was. Her days felt almost empty when she hadn't spent some fragment of it with Dimitri. True, she had called him or sent him text messages, but those forms of communication were not the same as him hugging her, kissing her, or caressing her cheek. She was very glad to be reunited with him once again.

When he mentioned about hoping she was ready for the week that laid ahead for all four of them, her grin grew and glowed even more than before. "If I wasn't ready, Dimitri, I wouldn't have been here," she commented in a playful sarcastic tone before giggling. "But I am definitely ready for this week."

Arielle nodded and lifted her head up slightly when Kedrick talked about canoeing after he and Dimitri had finished putting their tents up. She looked over to where he was pointing at and nodded with a bit of enthusiasm. "That sounds like a wonderful idea. And maybe we can have a race as well!"

The idea of a canoe race was a thrilling one, he wasn't sure how they would divide up the 'teams' but if they couldn't decide they could always do several. It would certainly be a lot of fun to have Arielle on his team, but the competition would also be greater if they decided to split it girl's against boys. One way or another, Kedrick doubted they'd stick to one race.

Kedrick looked over at Dimitri. "Let's get this finished then." He said with a smile, smacking Dimitri's shoulder lightly as he turned to jog back to the half-pitched tent. He crouched down on the ground, starting to pick up the pieces from where they left off. After a moment, Dimitri caught up and sat down cross-legged beside him, helping him assemble the tent.

Dimitri stood up, dashing his sleeve across his forehead and stretching his arms. "There, done." He sighed, smirking slightly. "At least the second one went up faster than the first." He look over at Kedrick. "Which was your fault. Just-so-you-know."

Kedrick blinked, a little bit lost. "Hmm? How do you figure?" He asked mildly, turning his back to Dimitri so he wouldn't see the hint of a smile on his face.

"Well," Dimitri said, walking over to where one of his duffel bags lay on the ground. "You've never pitched a tent before, so you slowed us down." Dimitri crouched next to the bag, rummaging through it till he found what he was looking for. He withdrew a bundle of clothing and a bottle of sun screen, tucking them under his arm, he started towards the first tent, the one he seemed to have claimed as 'the guys tent.'

"Oh is that all?" Kedrick asked sarcastically, turning to look back at him as his friend unzipped the door of the first tent. Kedrick smirked. "What are you doing?" He asked, forgetting Dimitri previous accusation.

"I'm changing into my swimming trunks." Dimitri said matter of factly. "If we're going canoeing, someone is going to end up in that lake, and if it's me, I'd rather not be in jean's and a t-shirt."

Kedrick snorted. "No one's going to fall in the lake."

"Someone is going to fall in the lake." Dimitri insisted before zipping the tent closed behind him, and disappearing from view.

A few minutes later, the tent door opened again, and Dimitri stepped out, wearing a pair of loose, dark blue swimming trunks with black trim, and a long white tank top. He was preoccupied with trying to sun-screen his back, and wasn't having much luck seeing as he arms weren't quite that long. In the sun, the young man seemed even paler than before, and it was no wonder he was worried about burning.

((Just a little humorous foreshadowing with the 'someone's going to fall into the lake' thing. XD ))

Arielle Shore

Arielle giggled and covered her nose as Kedrick lightly tapped it. She smiled in pride and nodded, letting him know she understood. She was glad that she was the first one to come up with an idea about how they would begin their week of fun. Now all she needed to worry about was whose team she would be on. I'm sure I can worry about that after the boys get the tents up, Arielle thought as she watched the boys walk away.

"Well, while they're doing that," Maria said, fixing her ponytail, "Let's get out or things situated. I mean, we can't just do absolutely nothing while the boys are working. It's just not fair. Now c'mon, chop chop, Ari. We've got some things to do~."

Arielle giggled and nodded, following her friend to the cars. They spent the time going over what was best to take out for the time being and how to manage the food for the upcoming week. It was a good thing they had enough, but eating equal amounts would make the meal last longer, especially since anything could happen.

As they were bringing some of the agreed items over, the girls noticed Dimitri walking out and having changed his clothes. They both titled their heads curiously, wondering why he had changed but didn't think much about asking.

"You preparing to take a swim in the lake, Dimitri?" Maria asked with a teasing grin.

"Maybe we should change too," Arielle commented, contemplating the idea, "You know... Just in case..."

Kedrick looked up at the girls as they came over, commenting about the possible need to change. "I don't think you'll need to worry about it." He said with a smile. "Dimitri is just overreacting."

Dimitri smirked and shoved Kedrick with his elbow, seeing as his hands were still covered in the sun screen that he had yet to get on his back. "Am not, Just wait and see." He said, then looked over at Arielle and Maria. "Girls, I think it's probably be a good idea." He said, giving up with the sun screen and just rubbing the rest of it on his arms.

Kedrick snorted slightly. "Yeah right." He murmured under his breath. "You're just saying that because you want to see Maria in a swim suit."

Kedrick had meant for the comment to go unnoticed, but Dimitri had heard. He turned, looking at Kedrick incredulously. He opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came right away, his face growing a deeper shade of read every second. He cleared his throat quickly, looking back up, by this time, even his ears had turned bright red. "T-T-that's not what I meant!" He said hotly, stammering slightly over his words. "I wasn't thinking that at all, I had her best interest in mind." He continued, even though Kedrick just was looking at him with a silent, amused smile.

Kedrick turned, and walked away from Dimitri without a word, still smirking, leaving the other boy stammering as he tried to explain himself. He raised a hand to the girls. "You can get changed if you like." He called with a smile. "I'm going to go rent our two canoes, meet me down by the lake when you're done M'kay?" He asked, looking back over his shoulder at the rest of his group. Dimitri was still pink-faced and was giving his a rather dark look. Kedrick smiled to let him know he hadn't meant any harm by his comment, and turned again, heading down to the boat rental.
