Love you though I may...  Patrick folded his arms, a fake stern expression on his face. "And who, might I ask, would be applying this paint?" he held up a hand. "Much as I love and trust you, I don't believe that that plam would work - you'd distract me."
The human shook his head, nice and slow. "Nope, I'm afraid I'd have to sleep in my pink clothes on the floor in our room. That would be a better punishment."
He winked at Justin - he knew this was not a conversation for company, but it wasn't as though Justin hadn't asked personal questions already. Even though they hadn't known one another long.

Justin laughed. "He's amazing at painting, but tattoos blur, Patrick. Meaning- not permanent either."
Taranieth laughed too, even though the joke was on him. "I don't see the good in putting years of effort into any piece if- it's just going to go away. Only souls are permanent, and even they- mutate slowly over time. That's their beauty."

Justin raised his eyebrows. "Sometimes feelings have that kind of permanence." he commented with a smirk.
"The material has no staying power." Taranieth said with a shrug. "And perhaps permanence would ruin it."

Love you though I may... Patrick glared at Justin's smirk as his skin went a deep red. Yet when Taran spoke, he felt puzzled - he didn't understand the thought. But he accepted it and shrugged back.

Taranieth smiled at him. "I've decided I'd much rather keeping you here as punishment for your cheekiness." he said, playful side coming out.
Justin caught, after a moment, that he'd only said he'd decided on a feeling, not actually said he was going to do it.
He wondered if Patrick was going to figure it out, and watched, amused.

Patrick shrugged and grinned. "I'll be gone at daybreak, and you'll just have to come catch up with me - or else Emma will kidnap me. My baby sister even captured Keegan, so just imagine how long I might stay if you don't come for me..."
For a second, his chest constricted and he felt a shot of pain which showed on his face: he knew he'd be back by the end of the first day, Emma at home or not. He could cope with sleeping on the floor in the same room, but not with being that far apart... he was teasing....I have several reservations. His expression cleared even as his cheeks coloured. "Sounds soppy, but I'd miss you. I miss Emma too, but she has mum and dad and our sisters. I- well, I'd need to sneak into our bed and hold onto you."
The human wagged a finger at him. "But that doesn't mean we're not going to the wedding - I'm taking you at your word, Master Taranieth."

"That gives my mind an embarrassing amount of relief." Taranieth said with a smile. "And you don't need to all me Master."
Justin raised an eyebrow.
"The original arrangement was much less personal. I didn't want to make him be- with me. I figured keeping him at my side, I could work on him, but in the end it didn't take much work." Taranieth explained. "I think he's still a little confused because of that."
Justin laughed. "You told him 'servant' to keep him from figuring out 'love interest'? You do realize he probably interpreted 'love slave'?"
That idea hit Taranieth in the face like a mallet and he looked at Patrick, dumbstruck. "Is that what you thought?" he mumbled, looking quite shocked.
