"He'll understand." Brooklyn told the redhead, grinning. "He knows how important world domination is."
Brooklyn sighed and yawned. "I'm so tired." He told no one in general, leaning his head on Tala's shoulder sleepily. "Are we there yet?"
~
"Not at all." Kai said coolly, continuing to lead Taki. "I was hoping you'd take over and take us to your resistance buddies." He told the Russian, looking back at him.
"I'm getting cabin fever. I need to do something"
~
Kai sighed and made his way over to the table, sitting on the edge and spinning so he could lie down on it. He shut his eyes and tried to relax. hopefully now I'll wake up with the body I remember
~
Rei sighed. "I'm sorry." He said flatly, rubbing his forehead. "I didn't mean it to come out like that." He gave Kevin a small grin. "I don't mind helping you guys out. I just sometimes wish you'd tell me what's happening."

Kevin walked over and patted the neko-jin's back. "It's ok, besides, if it makes you feel any better i have no idea what's going on at the moment either." He gave rei a toothy grin. "It's like Mariah doesn't know whether it's going to happen or not." He sat on his bed and fell back onto it. "Give her time," he yawned.

A nurse walked over to Kai to administer the aneasthetic to him. The other surgeons in the room were buzzing around as they waited for him to sink into sleep.
~
Taki laughed at Kai. "You're a strange one, but if you really want to do something," he shrugged, "We need to find Mariah first, she's been handling every thing since Kia left." He looked around and frowned. "Of course, finding the pink fluffbal is harder then it sounds..."

Bryan raised and eyebrow at Tala and the red head replied by poking his tounge out. "Looks like Brooklyn likes my shoulders better, Bryan," Tala teased. Bryan rolled his eyes and looked out the window as they came to a stop.
"Sorry, Brooklyn, but your going to have to walk in snow for a bit but thats the back entrances fault not mine," Kia said as she opened the door into a chilly, slightly forested area. She got out and Bryan and Tala followed.
"Nice destination," mumbled Tala. Kia quirked an eyebrow at him. "What? You didn't think we were going to waltz through the front doors, did you?"

Brooklyn stepped out of the car and shivered, me quickly made his way over to Bryan and commenced looking at the Russian pitifully, hoping that he would get the get the message to share some of his body heat.
"It would have been nice." He told Kia, grinning. "What are we going to be doing when we get in there?" He asked, looking at the buildings.

"Why not just use your commander-y power and make her come here?" Kai asked. "Can't you just call someone?" He asked, stopping.
"Can you do that?"
~
Kai made a face as the needle pushed into his arm but didn't make any other movement. Soon I'll be me again. he thought contentedly as his eyelids grew heavy to the point where he had to close them.
That'll be nice

Rei poked his tongue out childishly at Kevin. "Whatever." He sighed and stood up. "I probably have to go anyway." He told Kevin. "I promised Boris I'd meet him after he went and did some... stuff." He grinned. "He didn't want to tell me what he was doing."
Rei clicked his fingers as he remembered something. "Oh! And 1096's assimilation into Kai was a success." He told Kevin. "They should be starting the surgery on him soon."
He smiled and sighed "But I really do have to go."

Boris glared down at one of Biovolt's soldiers. He had been slowly realising in Ralef's rooms that his control over Biovolt's personnel wasn't quite what it used to be.
When he had come to see one of the regiments training sessions his suspicions had been confirmed. "What did you say?" He asked, using his superior height to loom over the man.
To his credit, the soldier didn't flinch. "I said that it would only be a matter of time before you get what's coming to you, Sir" He added, narrowing his eyes.
Boris scowled. "And that would be?" He asked in a deadly whisper.
"That's not for me to decide." The man whispered back in the same tone. "That's between you and your God."
Boris snarled and kicked out at the man's leg, dislocating his kneecap. The man cried out in pain and fell to the ground, clutching at his now ruined leg. "b*****d!" He yelled, glaring up at Boris.
Boris withdrew a gun from his clothes and aimed it at the soldier's head. "I hope that your God is ready for an early arrival." He sneered before pulling the trigger.
The soldier died instantly.
Boris spat on the ground next to the man's body, his hands trembling in rage. "Clean this up and get back to your training!" He yelled at the general soldier body before throwing his gun to the ground and walking away from the scene.

Kevin sighed. "If you must go, i guess, but come back soon, ok? Mariah might actually tell me something in the meantime."

Taki laughed again. "Does it look like we have phones around here? No, she's a tough one to find. Her last commander even had trouble finding her sometimes and that was saying someting." He looked around and scratched his head. "I'm sure if we keep wandering around we'll bump into her. that's usually the case." He put his hands in his pockets and continued walking.

Bryan looked over at Brooklyn and wrapped an arm around him. "i could get used to it being cold," he mumbled.
Kia looked over at the buildings, "First, we need to find one of my people and then..." She though for a moment, "hide until i can give any orders. Come on then." She moved toward a small steel door, pulled out a card and swiped it through the lock with a beep. "Gotta love universal keys," she stated to no one in particular.
She opened the door with a creak. Tala pocked his head through it. "Brrr, hey Brooklyn, it's even colder in here!"

Brooklyn looked up at Bryan and made a face at him. "I'm sooo glad you're happy." He muttered darkly, snuggling into the warmth Bryan was offering despite his words.
He blinked at Tala. "Colder?"

Kai rolled his eyes but followed Taki anyway. "How likely is it that we're going to run into her randomly?" He asked. "I haven't seen much of it but from what I can tell Biovolt is... big to say the least."
~
Rei grinned and nodded. "Of course." He told the green haired boy before he opened the door of Kevin's room. "I'll talk to you soon." He promised before shutting the door and beginning to make his way back to his room.
Knowing that his friends didn't want to tell him anything because of his relationship with Boris still hurt, though.

Boris stormed through the halls of Biovolt, snarling at anyone who so much as looked at him. Does this mean there's another resistance movement I have to deal with? he wondered.

Taki looked around and nodded "She would more likely be down this way because this area of Biovolt is near the back entrance. It's more deserted and i'm sure great for planning things."

Tala nodded. "Yep, i think i can see ice hanging off the roof."
Kia rolled her eyes and stepped through the door. "Don't be stupid, it's not that cold. The only reason it is cold is because this part of biovolt is never used, hence why we're going through it," she explained over her shoulder. Tala shrugged and followed her, "I was only messing with him."
Bryan shook his head at them but followed anyway, bringing Brooklyn with him.

Brooklyn made a face at Tala as they walked into the building. "Mess with this." He said as he kicked a clump of snow that had blown through the door after them at the redhead.
Brooklyn smirked triumphantly at the redhead before ruining the effect and poking his tongue out at him.

Kai rolled his eyes. "More deserted means more suspicious if someone catches you." He informed Taki. "Haven't you ever watched the movies where the Russian's plot their dastardly deeds in an abandoned warehouse?"
Kai nodded sagely. "You can always tell who the bad guys are by their abandoned warehouse."

Rei sighed as he made his way to Boris's rooms. He hated doing this double agent crap. It made him feel like he was betraying his friends.
And he couldn't forget how much he felt like he was betraying Boris.
Wait, he was.
Rei hated the way that he felt guilty about that.

Taki raised an eyebrow at Kai. "Oh, so we're the bad guys now, huh? Feel free to wander of and get tortured then," he smirked, waving a hand at Kai and continuing to walk off. "And does this really look like a movie to you?"

Tala looked at the lump of snow and chuckled, "But it's much more fun messing with you."
"If you two don't stop acting like kids we're going to lose her," Bryan informed walking past them. Tala shrugged and followed.
Kia was up at the end of the corridor. she poked her head around the corner and frowned. "Slack on security up here."

Mariah walked down the hallway on a mission. She didn't know what the mission was yet but she may as well seem like she was on one. She quirked and eyebrow as she saw a group of outsiders.
She walked up to them. "Um, it's really nice that you want to walk into your deaths but i think all of you should leave." Bryan and Tala turned around to look at puzzled.
"It's ok Mariah, They're with me."
Mariah blinked. One of them knew her name? She looked over at the girl who spoke. Kia turned and looked at mariah over the top of glasses and smiled. Mariah's eyes widened and she tackled the other girl in a hug.
"KIA! i didn't think you were going to come today."
Kia chuckled. "Sure you did, i said i was so here i am." Mariah nodded and stepped back. "So, what now?"
Kia frowned. "Put everyone on standby, and meet me back," she looked around and pointed at a door, "here."
Mariah nodded. "Yes, ma'am,' she said happily and raced off.

Now she was on a mission.
She rounded the corner and almost ran into Taki.

Kai's eyes widened at the girl ran around the corner. "What the?" He asked before scowling and turning to Taki. "Yes! This part of Biovolt is so abandoned." He said quickly and quietly, glaring at the dark haired teen.

Brooklyn blinked. "Eh?" Hey asked, looking at Kia. "Who was that?" He asked, coming to stand beside Bryan. "I'm guessing you know her?" He asked, reaching and taking Bryan's hand discretely.
~
Rei flashed a grin at the guard outside Boris's room. "Is he in?" He asked, stopping outside the door.
The guard shook his head. "He came by earlier to tell me to let you in, though."
Rei nodded. "Great." He said as he opened the door of Boris's rooms. He paused with the door open and looked back at the guard. "Umm... Don't tell him I'm here, ok?" He asked, blushing slightly. "I want to surprise him."
The guard smirked and nodded. "Whatever you want." He said, turning back to face the empty hallway.
Rei nodded and closed the door behind himself, flicking on a light switch to illuminate Boris's room.

Kai sighed. "And where is that?" He asked Taki, poking him in the shoulder. "You obviously know it all, don't you?" He asked. It figures that Taki would be right just to annoy Kai.
"She wasn't what I expected." He told Taki, looking to where Mariah had run off to.

Brooklyn walked in after Tala, dragging Bryan. "I never got to ask, why are you dead but not?" He asked, pulling out a chair and offering it to Bryan.
~
Rei smiled as he looked around the now familiar rooms. Because Boris ran this particular branch of Biovolt he had commandeered the biggest and best room for himself.
Rei sat down on Boris's bed and sighed, lying down on it and kicking off his shoes before crawling further up it and reaching up to grab a pillow to hug.
He sighed and buried his face in the pillow, breathing in the comforting smell of Boris.
He didn't know when his mission to get as much information out of Boris had changed. It just had. Rei sighed in frustration. Maybe Kevin was right about not telling me anything He thought, hugging the pillow tighter.

Boris rounded the corner leading to his room scowling, still trying to figure out if that soldier had been an isolated incident or whether it had been part of something bigger.
I thought they would have gotten the message after Kia

Bryan eyed the chair and then looked at Brooklyn suspiciously but sat down anyways. Tala wandered around the room, poking his nose into everything.
Kia walked over to the far wall and leaned on it, taking off her glasses and cleaning them. "Biovolt thought they had got rid of me, to make a point, but they can't get rid of me that easily. I had connections that helped me escape death basically."

"What did you expect then?" Taki asked as he headed towards the room Mariah was talking about. He rounded the corner and walked over to the door. He pushed it open and walked in.
Kia looked up from her glasses at Taki, her eyes widened and she moved into the shadows a bit more.
Taki raised an eyebrow and looked around. "And where did you all come from?"

Kai followed Taki inside and stopped dead when he saw people inside.
Then he realised he recognised those people. He blinked dumbly for a second as his eyes came to rest on a certain redhead. "Tala?" He asked, unbelievingly. He crossed his arms tightly, unwilling to believe that it was really him.
Brooklyn plonked himself into Bryan's lap before he realised that they had an intrusion. He blinked as he recognised Kai. What?

Boris ignored the guard as he walked into his rooms, slamming the door behind him.
Rei sat up quickly, looking at Boris in alarm. "What's wrong?" He asked, letting go of his pillow and crawling to the edge of the bed.
Boris looked at Rei in shock before recovering quickly. "Nothing." He said quickly, scowling and looking at the ground. "It's fine."
Rei rolled his eyes and stood up. "You're lying to me."

Tala tunred around and blinked. "Kai?" he asked quietly and made his way over to Kai slowly. He reached out his hand to touch Kai and was interupted by Taki appearing over Kai's shoulder.
"Hey, i know you. I threatened to Kill you when i was capturing Kai,' Taki said.
Tala's eyes snapped over to Taki and he pinned him with an icy gaze. "So, you were the one who took him away that night?" he asked darkly.
"Um, yes that was me.." Taki said. Kia rolled her eyes and sighed, oh Taki, trust you to say that....
Tala's eyes narrowed and he walked closer to Taki. Taki backed up and raised an eyebrow. "Well then," Tala said, pulled a balled fist back and then punched Taki.
Taki recoiled from the punch, stumbled backwards a bit and then tripped over his feet. As he fell, his head clipped the edge of the desk.
"oomf!" He landed with a thud on the ground. "Takiran!" Kia exclaimed and raced over, sunglasses forgotten. She stopped in front of Tala for a moment. "I'm a little peeved that you actually punched him but that was a good shot."
She knelt beside Taki. "Taki?" Taki groaned and opened his eye and blinked up at her.
"Kia..?" he muttered. Oh that's it, i'm deffinitely dreaming or hallucinating...or DEAD!
She sighed. "Hey dumbone. Not even a year in my shoes and your already trying to get yourself killed. I think that's taking replacing me a little far."
Taki groaned, "Yer, love you too," he muttered before falling into unconsciousness. Kia shooked her head at him.

"Tala!" Kai said, shocked reaching out and grabbing hold of one of the redhead's shoulders. "What the hell did you do that for?" He asked, forcing Tala to face him. "Tala?" He asked, frowning.
He looked over the redhead's shoulder at Kia. "You're that girl from Taki's picture!" He said, frowning. "What the hell are you guys doing here?"
"Hi Kai." Brooklyn said hollowly, still not quite believing it was him.

"So what if I am?" Boris asked, walking into his small kitchen and opening the pantry, looking for something to eat.
"So I want to know why." Rei persisted, following Boris into the kitchen. "What's wrong?"
"I thought I'd gotten rid of the ******** resistance!" Boris growled as he found a packet of chips. He opened it and took one. He tasted it and growled. "Stale!" He slammed the packet on to the bench. "Don't we have anything in here?" He asked.
"You mean the resistance that Kia was a part of?" Rei asked, trying to remember what Boris had told him.
Boris nodded. "That one. Apparently killing her didn't send quite as strong a message as I thought it would. It's still here."
Rei frowned. "But how do you know that?" He asked, staying where he was.
"Because I killed some guy who decided to tell me all about it today."
