So, when should I move on with the GSS Innocent Cargo Ship?
Since no one seems to be paying attention to it... ninja

Gonna go offline for a little bit, but move it when you want to, Mr. Highwind. xd Also, I know Lyendi loves shoot-em-ups, so I'll post this link for her to find when she gets back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxZQvUGQEuI

Bah, Space Elf, no, I love Shooters. wink One of my favorite games is still 1943. wink I love being able to enter that zen like state whenere I'm keeping track of some 20 enemies on screen, hundreds of bullets, and instant speed recognizing where the 'holes' are, and how to line up my shots while I do it.

What i dislike is the shooters games were your shots can't blow up the bullets they fire at you, you die in one hit, and the bosses fires an unavoidable spread that covers the entire screen.

I've never seen a game with unavoidable spreads. wink They usually have one small obscure hole that you're supposed to exploit.

nope not in a couple i played. in fact in one i played you have to continue to get power ups as fast as you could because the enemy kept getting more resistant to your attack. worse thing about it is that in one of thoes games if you died you lost all your upgrades. a real pain.

There's a basic game mechanic to get around all that, goldbrease: stop playing. wink It looks like the one I linked has the capability to shoot the incoming shots though.

Hmm, if it's a one hit you're dead it was probably AeroFighters, that's the only series I can t hink of that's like that. Well, that and the one who's name I can never recall but it was japanese for "Mottled Dove" or something.
But in that game only 1/2 the stuff on screen at any time can actually hurt you. And you can go through the whole game without firing a single shot.
But anyways, played most of the AeroFighters games, beat them. With the Japanese pilot at least. He had the best load out.
Ninja Pilot FTW.

Too many bullets on screen @_@...never did like those types of shooters. I prefer my shooters old school like Thunder Force, Gradius, Contra, Raiden and Darius. Just about every shooter has an exit when the boss unleashes that bullet tsunami at you, you just have to be quick and calm to maneuver your way through that hole. Konami and Taito shooters usually have the Shield to help you get through the areas. The japanese Contra: Hard Corps actually had a life system where you could take up to three hits before you'd actually die. That got taken out of the US release, if that had stayed in the US release, it wouldn't be as fun as it is now. 3nodding

I always liked Contra and the one hit your dead system.
I remember how hard I worked for 100% completion of all missions in Shattered Soldier. sweatdrop

Oi @_@...Shattered Soldier kicks my butt...I start off good but once I lose a life...its over. Fun game though and awesome OST. It was nice of Konami to change the enemy attack patterns in easy mode xD.
Me: -running through the Mountain Area- Do do do do BLAM BLAM! You're d-- -enemy attacks with a new pattern and I die- O____________o.....WTF?!
