"Oh lightning. That's the Rai element. It comes down from the sky and goes BANG BOOM!!"
Ren struck a pose with his arms up towards the sky to mimic lightning coming down.
"No wait, that's the noise thunder makes--"
Ren started to sniff the air; something was burning. The meat started to catch fire and was slowly slipping off the two stone sticks. Ren was too focused on the conversation at hand to turn and look.

Ookamimaru nodded, he though he understood.
He must be talking about the flashy lights coming from the sky if it stormed.
Most of the time, they are the cause of the bushfires he has seen.
Then he pointed at the second picture, the two wavy lines. "aand, wint?"

"Yup that's wind, the Kaze element."
Ren made his arms waver in the air as he made a "woosh" sound with his mouth.
"It blows stuff away at random." Suddenly a breeze swept by and the scent of something burning was more potent than before. Ren turned to the piece of meat that had fell into the fire and he clasped his hands over his head.
"FFFFFFFFFUUUUDGE!! NOW its ruined!"

Ookamimaru turned his head to the fire,
the meat was completely black.
The smell of burned flesh made him anxious,
He rememered someting:
People screeming, houses burning,
the same smell -the smell of death- as now.
He was standing right in the middle,
surrounded by heavily armed men.
Their dirty faces, masked, wearing headbands with the signs of The Hidden Village Of Mist, the ninja village of the Rai Country.
They all where bigger than him.
Someone screeming at then, an order,
Now tey all came closer, coming to a cetain kill.
Than, he saw himself coming loose from the ground, and taking off in open air. Flying towards the full moon. When he looked down, he saw the village from above, burning...
He came back to himself, screeming like a six-year-old.

"!?!"
Ren looked back at the screaming Ookamimaru and was clueless about why he was screaming. "It's ok, it's just meat! What's wrong, why are you screaming?!"

He turned around, still a bit scared,
but when he saw Ren, he kind of calmed down again.
"Ookamimaru don't want learn lighning, lighning not good, lighning makes ..."
He points at the fire.
"Ookamimaru want learn kaze, kaze good. "
He crossed his arms and nodded, as if he just decided that.

"Ahh."
Ren looked over to the fire and nodded his head in silent agreement.
"Yea, the Kaze Sensei is really nice too. I think it would be perfect to start there!"
Ren stood up and took a defense-like stance. He was focusing chakra underneath the campfire's position. Suddenly, the campfire sank into the earth as dirt and rock started to crumble over it. The fire was out and the burnt meat buried with it.
"So where's your stuff, huh?"

Ookamimaru didn't understand the whole meat thing.
First he lets the meat burn, instead of eating it, and then he burries it...
Maybe it is some kind of sophisticated way of preserving food?
Maybe he was keeping it for later?
At the question he thought.
"Stuff? What is?"
He asked with an ununderstanding look in his yellow eyes.

Ren looked around himself and picked up the backpack and zipped it up.
"Like my backpack is from home. The things you bring with you.
I'm from a small Village by the way, it's not really known on the map persay-- where do you come from?"

"Woah that's a big scythe..."
The way Ookamimaru was holding the scythe, it seemed that he was no rookie to it. Ren was worried for a second that it would accidentally fly across the air and attack him.
Ren noticed Ookamimaru's discomfort when he asked about where he was from. He smiled, "Well hey, that's no big deal, who cares right?"
Ren looked up at the sky and realized the time that had passed, "Ok so, you got all your stuff? We can start heading towards the Main Dojo now."

He was relieved Ren didn't ask any further of where he came from.
Ookamimaru, too looked at the sky, to verify it was full, nor new moon.
The moon was on his crescent though.
To his calculations, it will be trhee more days till full moon.
That could give some problems...

The only reason for that is that it is nearly new moon,
and Tobu is already losing power.
He's still walking on his toes though (litterally)
because his heels and knees still resemble a bit to those of a wolf.
His toes still have claws too.
Actually, Ookamimaru is lucky he met Ren so close to new moon.
He is sure of it that if it was near full moon,
Ren wouldn't have seen him as a human being.
At one side, because he wouldn't look like one,
and on the other side, because Ookamimaru would have cetainly attacked him.
Ookamimaru walked silent, without breaking a sigle branch, or rustling leaves.
It was a habit, due to the hunting for animals.
His ears stood right up, at the words Ren spoke.

"Attacks? Who?" "Some loser in an opera mask, but we killed him in the end. Most of the attackers kept repeating something about research; we're not entirely sure ourselves who they are.
Whoever it is, they just feel like attacking us for no reason I guess."
Ren was walking through the forest's debris as if it was a walk in the park. He assumed nothing was going to attack them this close to the Main Dojo. They were a minute's walk away.

Ren walked as if he knew the the way on his thumb.
Ookamimaru wonders how close they are to civylisation.
Maybe, when he was stalking the deer,
they brought him to far to the edge of the forest.
While Ren was talking, he saw the herd of the pregnand female he killed.
At the sound of Ren's voice, they ran deeper in the forest.
He decided not to pay attention.
