"You sure?" Xavier replied jokingly. "Cause I swear back in the showers we went to heaven and all the way back." His second sentence held a lower and midly seductive tone of voice, a pitch he usually adopted when he was trying to be macho or he was aroused - pretty close to when he would puff out his chest. Right now, though, he was sort of snuggling with her on Shadow's back.
With his gray-blue eyes, he looked around and saw they passed the pond and were heading back towards the vast fields. Cool, he thought.

Summer's face flushed a bright red she then smiled, "Well we could always go beyond that," she said her tone husky and seductive at the same time and it held a teasing note to it. She then placed one of her hands on his thigh and used the other to control where Shadow would go.

"We can go anywhere, anytime." Xavier said in a tone that mirrored Summer's and yet stayed his own. He saw the river to their right and smiled. "Remember going swimming in the river?" He asked her jokingly as they passed it, mostly on an impulse. That was when they had first kissed, and really, fallen in love. He knew he had fallen for her quickly, but he really felt his feelings went beyond the normal boundaries. God, that sounded cheesy, he thought.

"Oh, how about next time we go beyond heaven to the stars?" Summer asked him smiling. She then said, "Yes I do remember the river it was when we first kissed and I fell head over heels in love with you," she said smiling, "Hey how about a we go swimming?" a suggestive tone in her voice.

"Of course," Xavier said. "Maybe even beyond everything else, too." He kissed her neck again and smiled. "Okay, lets go then. It'll be fun." He knew the water would be colder in the night hours, especially as time continued to blow by just as the wind did. But, that was all okay somehow. As they got closer, he hugged Summer a little tighter as a way of showing his excitement.

"Easy, tiger," she said smiling. "You must really like kissing my neck," Summer said laughing. When she stopped Shadow she dismounted before Xavier could help her. She then disrobed all the way and walked into the river and turned back to smiled at him.

"'Course I do." Xavier replied, laughing. He led Shadow to a shady spot where she could graze, which took a few seconds at most, then dismounted and completely undressed as Summer had. He smiled back at her and raised his eyebrows a little, just as he had done before. He got into the river, but clenched his teeth a little because of the cold. However, he willed himself to get over it and splashed Summer.

Summer dove out of his way and came up laughing and said, "The water to cold for you?" she then started swimming toward the middle of the water.

Roman poked his head out of Ariel's stall at Kahlilia's voice. "Hey," he greeted cheerfully, having completely missed Xavier and Summer. "What's going on? I thought I heard the tractor." He smiled. "I came out to take a look at Ariel and make sure Phoenix was settling in all right - we rode pretty hard."
Ariel stuck her nose out of the stall and whickered happily at Kahlilia, short brushy tail waving. "Well, I like that," Roman huffed jokingly. "Sees you and right away I'm chopped liver."
Esmeralda swung down from the top of the hay shed. She winked at Kahlilia while she dusted off her jeans. "He didn't catch me," she told Kahlilia with a grin. "Didn't even think to check the hay area, I guess. How did things go over there, my dear? Made sure neither of you left anything behind?"
Roman glanced from one girl to the other suspiciously. "Is there something I should know, Ez?" he inquired.
"Oh, no, darling," said Esmeralda, smiling sweetly at him. "You go on and play with the baby, now - I have to go see to Sahara." That said, she vanished into the mare's stall.

"No," Xavier said quickly. "How about you?" He turned around to see that she wasn't trying anything 'funny' and smiled at her. He heard owls hooting and could see fireflies racing through the air like tiny yellowish fireworks, lighting up the darkening atmosphere.
In a way, nighttime is more romantic than daytime...
"Hi guys!" Kahlilia said with a suddenly relieved look in her eyes. She was still a tiny bit nervous that Xavier had come very, unusually close to catching them while they had been in his room. And what if Chris decided to tell? She didn't know what kind of a guy he was yet, and she was kind of wary of pretty much everybody thus far.
However, she giggled when she walked over to Ariel's stall. "Babies are like that." She said, smiling. She had virtually no experience with human babies, but 'repayed' it by knowing how to take care of baby animals, as well as the makeshift human dolls.
Well, that didn't matter.
The girl pretended to act coy when Esmeralda starting hinting about the previous doings. She simply stood, looking at them with a smiling but very mysterious look.

"Maybe just a little but then again that's a good thing," Summer said smiling and with a wink. She then dove under the water where he couldn't see her and swam up to him and pulled his feet out from in under him. Then she quickly swam back to the middle of the water laughing.

Xavier went under the water and came back up coughing and looking like a very wet deer in headlights. Then, he turned to her with an evil smirk on his face and swam over to her as quietly as he could - which wasn't very in honesty. -
Then, he picked her up and tossed her into the water as a way of claiming vengance. "Ha." He said to her, still smiling. He was in a playful mood.

Summer splashed down into the water after Xavier had thrown her, splashing him as well. She came up laughing and said, "Bet you cant do that again."

"What, they all like you better than they like me?" teased Roman, patting Kelly's nose when the mare thrust it into his shoulder to sniff him. "Seems like her mama doesn't quite trust me yet. It must be a Y chromosome thing - she didn't like it when we introduced Phoenix either." Looking amused, he gently scratched behind the mare's ears. "If I were a lesser man, I could be hurt," he said, pretending to look sorrowfully over at Kahlilia.
Esmeralda rolled her eyes as she poked her head out of Sahara's stall. "But he's not at all conceited, is he, Lily?" she called, smirking at her brother. "You can just tell how modest he is."

"Bet I can." Xavier came up behind her and did the exact same thing he had before - picking her up and tossing her into the water. He was still laughing a lot, and he was still very high strung, in a sense. He went over and kissed her with high passion, feeling like he was on cloud nine.
Kahlilia was struggling to stifle the sudden abundance of giggles that were bubbling up inside of her. She grinned at both of them with no answer, just more giggles.
She walked over so that she was standing beside Roman besides being infront of him and gently stroked Ariel's soft coat. She was still smiling and she seemed to glow in her happiness. It was beginning to become full night outside, and the incoming breeze was showing it. Since Kahlilia was wearing a spaghetti strap tank top and simple jeans, she could feel the goosebumps rise on her pale arms.
