I know she's my friend, and that the idea itself can't possibly be perfectly original. That's why I'm trying so hard not be mean about it.

But dammit, I've been talking about this tattoo for years, and just discussed it with her the other night when I went out to dinner with her. It seems kind of hard to believe she didn't just take my idea. And the fact that all those people supporting her to get it and saying "It's such a beautiful idea" when they 1) Already knew I was thinking about it long before she was and 2) said directly in her thread that I was a little upset that it seemed like she took my idea just makes it worse.

I suppose I can rest easy knowing that I'd be implementing it better (with an original composition by a friend, not a song by a band I kind of like) and try to get over it and try not to be petty about it from there. :/

Nuggets.

It's like sometimes you get things on your mind that you want to say, or in my case wish people would get without it having to be said, and then you go for so long without saying it or having the right outlet for such things and more and more piles up until you're at a point where you realize no one even really knows you anymore. Because you've changed. Or they have. Or you're stuck in an endless loop where what you're not saying is speaking louder than what you do say, but it's telling a different story.

I suppose eventually there has to come a point where you have to just make a conscious choice to express all those things you've meant to say for so long and just lay it all out there. Then, though, there's the mental hangup of where to begin, which if not figured out could end up repeating the entire process ad nauseam.

Hm. Stuff.

AGH. ._.

One of my friends works as a veterinarian's assistant, and tonight she told us about how a woman came in today after backing up in her car and knocking over a wooden sawhorse...which then fell on her little Yorkie. ._. Apparently she got out of the car the second she hit the sawhorse and scooped up the dog and rushed to the vet's, but yeah...he was killed instantly.

I have never met this woman and never will, and yet that stupid story has been eating away at me all night and I'm crying so ridiculously hard right now...I needed to vent it somewhere and godDAMNIT I want a hug so badly. .___.

Ugh, spent the night at my brother's watching his kids so they could have a grown up only night.
But they didn't get home at 11:00pm or 12:00am which I'd be fine with.
No they didn't get home until 3:30am cause they were drunk off their asses. Not cool at all. mad

So I had to deal with my 5 year old nephew who is a ******** pain in the a**. He's like his father was when he was a kid.
The only difference is I'm 15 years older then him but I get no ******** respect. stressed

I thought The Kite Runner was amazing.
It's actually set in my hometown, too. :]

I've always pondered the connection between sex and violence.

Look at every Hollywood horror flick: attractive female heroine, obligatory shower or bikini scene + blood and gore. Any war documentary that addresses militarism & fetishism will tell you gruesome rape stories, as well... I can't believe that soldiers can find it within themselves to be that cruel when they're busy killing. My guess is, when you want to hurt someone, raping is violating them and degrading them to their lowest, most humiliated and vulnerable form while taking everything you can from them. Domination, in every sense.

Let's not forget that they are reverting to their primal selves in order to kill.

The majority of people can't handle killing another human being.
