"How the hell," Edith asked honestly though she was laughing at the question, "would I know if I kicked in my sleep or not? I haven't slept with anyone... Besides Grandma.... and she was the one who kept me up snoring the whole damned night."
Edith followed Tokeru out of the elevator, still handling Kyley with absolute care as they entered Tokeru's room. She saw Hope staring blankly at the TV and wondered just how much she loved her talk shows. When she did not respond to Tokeru she was wondering even more. And when she fell face-first on the ground after being shook, Edith jumped back a good twenty feet, holding back a yelp.
As she heard Tokeru explain what happened, she eased up and bit back a laugh. "Wow," she said in slight awe, "I wish I could do that. When I was a kid I'd always wanted to do it because Bugs Bunny could. Except he had a book and he was tricking a... vampire..." How ironic. That episode just happened to have a vampire in it. "Okay," she responded, somewhat distracted, walking off to the guest room with Kyley in arms.

Tokeru wandered each room, trying to figure out which one was the second guest room. He had never really gone past the shower, the pool and his room, and therefore had no idea what was in the rest of the room. There was a laboratory, a workshop, a garage, recreation room, a holding cell, a panic room, escape tunnels and finally, the guest room.
He stuck Hope on the bed and closed her eyes, the tucked her under the sheets, not changing her clothes at all because that would be wrong.
After he was done, he closed the light, and returned to the tv room.

Edith had not had too much difficulty getting Kyley to bed considering when she had tripped over the pile of random magazines, she had flown onto the bed and deposited Kyley into it perfectly. And since when she had stubbed her toe on the bed going to tuck Kyley in, she had not cursed or shaken the bed enough that Kyley woke up. Yep, everything was all good, except for Eden's toe and forehead, but they were good enough.
She came out of the room, rubbing her forehead, not really paying attention to where she was going so that she almost crashed into Tokeru with her entire bulk. However, her elbow had conked him first so she had time to stop and apoligize. "Oh my God," she whispered though it was pretty frantic and near-impossible to understand at the speed she was talking, "I'm so sorry Angel!" She then kissed the part of his chin where she had accidentally rammed her elbow into.

Tokeru laughed when he saw how ridiculous Edith looked. She was rubbing her forehead, obviously trying to avoide walking with her toe, and not was apoligizing for conking him in the chin.
"Man, you really are clumsy. I wonder how a person like you became a hunter."
Tokeru grinned evilly, then yawned, covering his mouth with his hand.

Edith scoffed. "I can't believe you," she joked though she said it with absolute seriousness which made it more funny to her but more uncomfortable for Tokeru, "I kissed you better and everything and you did not say that you forgave me... Yeah, I'm a one-hundred percent clutz and yet I'm still alive and I can manage being a hunter."

Tokeru laughed all the harder. "Alright alright. I forgive you. Now, " he yawned again. "I think i'm passing out at this moment, i'm gonna go lie down. If you want....."
He left the rest of the sentence unspoken, letting Edith do with it what she would.
He walked into his room, and changed. He took off his jacket and pants, and put on flannel pyjama pants. Yeah flannel, wanna fight about it?

Edith smiled, glad that she could make him laugh and glad that she had not bumped into him hard enough to really hurt him. "Good," she said folding her arms with a smirk that showed her fangs, "now that that's over with..."
When he walked out of the room, leaving the rest of his sentence unspoken, she followed after him, wondering what he had meant by it. She was excited by it, given a spark of hope. "So what," Edith said, peeking around the corner after Tokeru had gotten his flannel on, "did you mean by: If I want? If I want what?"

Tokeru smiled. "Well, i'm going to sleep, you can join me if you wish, or you can tazer me awake once you feel like talking."
The literally lept into his bed, slamming face down into the pillows. It had been awhile since he had last slept, and he was exhausted. Taking care not to ruffle his wings, he moved onto his side, wriggling underneath the covers.

Edith smiled gently, walking out of the room, wondering if he even cared if she came into the bed or if he was trying to make it seem he didn't care or he was just too tired to think much of it. Either of the three ways, she had decided that she would pop into his bed and try to sleep though if she couldn't she'd probably leave so as not to wake him up. First, however, she had went to get her pajamas on.
She had retrieved them and brought them into Tokeru's room, deciding that she would just change in his room. His face was down, and she did not much care if he peeked. She slipped on a baby blue sleep tank-top that read lucky duck and some blue plaid pajama bottoms that were fairly snug on her rump. After finishing getting her sleeping clothing on, she gently slipped into the bed beside Tokeru, giving him a gentle kiss before tucking herself in under the covers.

Tokeru smiled as Edith joined him. He snuggled up beside her and drew her beside him. "Glad you could join me."
He kissed the back of her neck, and started to drift off into sleep.

Edith was going to make her own comment, but she did not want to sound like a friggin' pervert as they were in the same bed and she did want Tokeru to get to sleep without worrying that she was going to do something awkward or creepy to him as he slept. "I'm glad you're glad, Angel. Love you, night."
When he snuggled up closer to her, she had taken his arms and wrapped them around herself, her hands holding his gently. She closed her eyes though she would take a much longer time to fall asleep than Tokeru, that was a given.

Tokeru dreamt of nothing in particular for once, just a bunch of random images. Faces came and went, none with any specific meaning.
Then he dreamt of his little temptress. Nothing in particular, he just had a few dreams with her face in it, and in each of those dreams he was happy.
Then there was Draegan, who was killing his parent's once again. Untill Edith replaced Draegan, and comforted Tokeru, then he was happy once again.

Tokeru still had the soothing effect on her, and despite her hard time with Reno, she had managed to find sleep. Her dreams were the opposite of Tokeru's more distinct, the kind that you remember. It was about William and Lydia. It had been two years after Lydia had given birth and their child had been spending time with her. She had taken them to an entertainment park and they were on a merry-go-round when suddenly she accidentally let go of him and he fell onto the ground, head slammed into a beer bottle.
The child was bleeding profusely and took a few moments of twitching before they died. Their eyes were still opened and that was what disturbed her the most. She had screamed at the sight and had picked the child up, holding them to her, crying. Quite abruptly, Edith awoke, gasping and would have literally thrown herself off of the bed from her frightful jump if it had not been for Tokeru's arms around her.

Tokeru was still sleeping, when Edith twitched on the bed. He still had his arms around her, and he woke up.
He felt her shudder, and hugged her close to him. "Something the matter?"

Edith was still very shaky from the dream. It had just been so... so real. She could have sworn that the kid had been right there, that this was now two years later. "Y-Yeah," she said, calming herself and bringing herself to smile though she spoke shakily, "I w-woke y-y-you up. S-sorry, A-Angel."
