Cyrea finished chanting and heard a scream from overhead. A buzzard, and something on the buzzard's leg, holding on...
A low tremor from below was the only signal before an old woman, tall, and thin, and wiry, simply stepped out of the ground. And that wasn't it. Another woman, young and short, slid out of the wall, and a young man, tall and dark, burst up from the ground. Then whatever had been hanging on the buzzard let go.
It was an old man, with a beaten brown cloak, a white beard, and a balding spot on his head. He bore a staff. "Well, Cyrea. You've grown. Now...where's Mei...?"
"I dunno. Maybe she tripped over something and forgot what she was doing."
With Mei, that's definitely a possibility. Silly girl."

fire started to be pulled from the ground, air from the sky, water from lakes and river, and earth from the ground it's self. i took on a shape of a chinese dragon with wings, then darkness was pulled to along with light. i opend my eyes, and out shone a murky light then i said, "The king of Dragonics, is back." the mortals stood their in awe, if they thought a one dragon was bad, two was even worse. opeaning my mouth a blue flame tinged with a black and red hue spwed from it.

Kyfen watched the battle in front of him with awe, a strange sinking feeling in his stomach. He was clearly getting used to riding the dragon; before, it's course scaley skin had caused him great pain and discomfort to sit on, but now... He looked down, at the world rapidly expanding beneath him. Above, the dragon sailed around, attacking Father, completely unaware of the fact it's cargo was dropping through the air like a stone as it did so. "Wha-?" Murmured Kyfen, before his words were whipped away by the wind. And, before he could utter another word, he rushed downwards, towards the earth. He tried to scream at first, but the huge air resistance made his mouth go all huge and floppy, scouring his throat dry. Flapping his arms didn't work, either- only serving in making him look ridicolous. I need to do something. And quick. No-one's noticed I've fallen yet. Of course, the fall wouldn't kill him. But it would hurt him, and he didn't want that. Kyfen closed his eyes, dreading the impact. I need to do something. I need to do a lot of things. Slowly, starting like a spark of heat and growing to a flaming intensity, light engulfed Kyfen's body. Something was happening, something very strange indeed.

"Wha....grandpa, catch him!" Cyrea pointed at Kyfen.
"Relax. The boy will be fine."
"No he won't! Go watch him, at least! Last time he did something like that he lost his memory!"
"Hm. Fine." The old man in the brown robe stepped off the top of the skyscraper and was simply gone.
And there he was, standing calmly by Kyfen in midair. His fall matched that of Kyfen's perfectly, except that his feet were below him, and the air didn't seem to effect him all that much. And when it did, it effected him THE WRONG WAY. Nothing went up, though he was falling. Sometimes his hair or beard would blow to his left impressively, but mostly he was just standing there, as though the air was a platform, watching Kyfen.

There was a hiss of cosmic background energy, and a hand gripped the edge of the building, leaving grooves in the stone. The fingers, at least, were wreathed in energy, changing shape rapidly until it settled on a hand plated in metal armor. Dentrag's face lifted up, giving a brief glimpse of now reddened eyes. Something terribly wrong had happened on that spell. The air around him... dragged on you, gently tugging towards him. Dentrag jumped up on the building and drew his sword, which was wildly shifting shapes and materials, from butter to superliquid.

Matthew growled as he got behind Yata. "Mmm, you go for the killy Yata, I'm no use anyways, you and Ixpath and Cyrea will do fine. I'll protect Kyfen." Matthew said as he used his sword to dodge what father was throwing back.

Matthew's eye's widend and he nodded as he was thrown. Sword ready he grinned, striking through the flame the sword to fathers neck, sweat beeded down Matthew's forhead, he didn't know what to do, he looked to Yata, then TO Ixpath, then Cyrea, then Kyfen, it all went in slow motion, what was going on..

All about Kyfen, flaming colours and lights whirled. He kept his eyes shut; the constant speed of the world around him was making him dizzy, and he wanted it to stop. "What's going on?" He whispered, out loud. "Hmm... Are you ready yet? Daring to open his eyes, Kyfen blinked. The world around him had changed. Gone was the battle, the desperate attempts to save Kyfen by Yata and the others. The space around him was greyish-white, with a dark shock of horizon in the distance, punctuated by naught but a single black tree. "Where a-" "Indeed, that is something you will come to know with time. Do not fear- you have not disappeared physically, but instead your mind and essence have been transported to this inner realm of your own creation. " A pause followed. Kyfen shifted from foot to foot, uneasily. "I... Don't get it." "That is to be expected, also. We were intending you to come down as a fully fledged adult, but such a process would've warped your mind into something unsuitable for our purposes. "...Purpose?" Wondered Kyfen. It seemed like this went deeper than he thought. "Yes, purpose. It had occurred to you, has it not, that all this cannot be co-incidence? You, a young immortal orphan, just happens to be born in and live near the exact location where such a powerful gathering of immortals happens to come to? You, a small child, just happen to discover your immortality less than a day after meeting them? You, Kyfen, think these things just happened? That they were just chance?" Kyfen thought about it. "No." He concluded. "It does sound too good to be true." It suddenly occurred to him that he didn't know where the voice was coming from. It was the same one as before, only... it seemed more urgent, as if something was coming up. "That is true indeed. All these things coming into happening at one time is nothing short of a miracle. Do you understand?" Kyfen frowned. There it was again. That word, miracle. "No. I don't understand." Something that could've been a chuckled filtered through Kyfen's senses. "Of course you don't. But today is the real starting point. We'll see if you really are worthy of the title we forged for you.
The world began spinning again, sending Kyfen sinking into the group, swallowed by the grey floor. Opening his mouth to scream, he felt with a sickening certainty that his lungs were filling with the stuff, pushing him down, down...
...And he was back. It felt as if time was standing still- there was no falling, just a slight, searing heat on his skin. Opening his eyes yet again, he saw himself covered in a cocoon of flames. Dad. Raw magic began to fill his veins, drawn from an unknown source within Kyfen. It didn't hurt- feeling more like someone was spilling washing up liquid, thick and gooey, across his body. Kyfen's skin starting lighting up with branching, vein-like lights of gold light, and his eyes slowly changed to mimic his skin. What's going on? He thought, What's happening to me?
