Angel motioned with her hands the plan. She would pop out from her side and use Force Storm to stun the target while Mordranna runs up and subdues him. She put Punishment away so her left hand was free to use the Force, and after making a silent countdown, made her move. In a flash, she came around the corner of the doorway, a bolt of lightning heading straight for the target. She was too far away to recognize her target was Cajin.

Cajin was leaning back against a console, waiting for his relief, when a blurred figure ran into the room; a figure with a trail of red light. Damn! The Sith got here first! he thought, as he lept over the console, blazing away at the door and the figure with his rifle. Sliding over the console, he fired impact grenades at the ceiling.
He was almost over the console when lightning stuck him. The console he was leaping over burst in a shower of bright sparks as he crashed to the ground on the other side. A moan escaped from his clenched teeth as intense pain flared through his body. More agony burst into him as his left leg shorted out.
No! I won't lose! I'll fight, I'll win, I'll kill them all! he thought, as he furiously tried to master his pain and his twitching body.

After deflecting the blaster fire, Angel dropped her saber and quickly used the Force to push the grenades away to detonate harmlessly, while still keeping Cajin down with lightning from her other hand. She picked up her saber again and kept up the lightning until Mordranna can subdue him, though she let up on the power behind it, just enough to try keeping him stunned, though if it was enough, she wasn't sure, but she didn't want to inadvertently kill him in the process.

The pain flooding Cajin's body was lessening lessened slightly. Is she weakening? I've got to fight! He forced his arms to move, firing everything he had at the Sith, only to have his futile attacks deflected. He kept shooting, until his overheating rifle overloaded and burst, the boiling gas searing his arm and the side of his face. No! his thoughts dissolving in chaos and fury. I have to kill her!
"I hate you!" he screamed, trying to crawl towards his enemy.

Mordranna looked to Angel, motioning for her to hold off on the lightning, before she too charged into the area. She then approached the crawling figure of Cajin. "Cajin ... I thought that was you I heard hailing the Hope Eagle," She then looked around the bridge. "What happened here, anyway?" With that, Mordranna's thoughts returned to the crewman, saying something about a madman. A madman that fit Cajin's description. To be sure, she was more or less willing to trust the man. Still, she thumbed her own blaster, clicking for the "stun" setting. Please, don't make me use this, Of course, she could also use Force powers with her free hand, the other on her saber.
"I hate you!" Cajin cried out, his voice one of fury and pain.
Mordranna looked sadly to Cajin. In the times before that she met him, she found him to be likeable enough. "Who, Cajin? Tell me," she calmly inquired. Still, her eyes were on him, in case he made any sudden moves.

Cajin slumped down, breathing heavily, as all of his strength seemed to drain away. All he was left with was weariness and lingering pain.
Vision blurring, he managed to say "I...hate..." before blacking out.

Mordranna clicked off her lightsaber, and gently walked over to Cajin's prone form, carrying him on her shoulders. "This seems familiar," she weakly chuckled to Angel. "Still," she added, more pensively, "it seems that there are some unanswered questions."

Imperius smiled behind the mask of his flightsuit. While the battle raged over the skies, no one had seemed to realize that several more of his cloaked ships were slipping through the atmosphere of the planet and deploying troops.
Still, the ship that had advanced on him was potentially threatning. It was pursuing the StarLancers. That meant annihalation.
Imperius checked the signatures on his targeting computer and found the ship again. He throttled further and sprayed laser fire.

"They just keep coming!" Gunny shouted, guns targeting another fighter out of the sky.
"Well, it seems the Federation is staking quite a lot on thier gamble, one way or another. We best be trying to destroy what we can...." Replied Neb.
Gunnie grew pale. "We have.... fighters.. on our tail..."
Neb looked at him, "So? Destroy them!"
Gunnie looked back. "No... I mean we have fighters on our tail. Four full squadrons worth.."
Indeed. It seems the droid AI had finally classified the Courier as a largescale threat. In doing such, 48 vulture droids decided to gang up on the Kapella from behind, despite being one of the most heavily defended areas of the courier.
"You have got to be joking!" Neb shouted, watching on a screen as it flipped to radar for two seconds, before reverting. "Launch countermeasures!"
The Kapella was designed with two things in mind: a Jedi starship that could be as useful as a mobile Praxium, and never to be unable to get out of a situation alive. When multiple opponents attacked, there were five levels of attack which it went through. First, it would rotate the normal guns. Second, it would deploy turrets and fire the occassional torpedo. Third stage had been reached, as the courier opened up another hatch, releasing a new threat, and of course, a new danger to whatever followed him.
Small spikes armed with detonators flew out. Starspikes they were called, and were one of Gunnie's favored creations. The spikes were able to latch on to a ship harmless enough, usually magnetic or physical. When detonated, the small explosions usually worked in a chain reaction. And Neb had detonated the spikes, creating quite a disturbance. They had latched on to only about 7 or 8 fighters, but the resulting explosions destroyed around 24 due to mid-flight collisions, reducing the followers by half.
"Is that better?" Neb asked. Between the guns and the spikes, there were only 6 more fighters left on their tail.
"Much." Gunny retorted.

Imperius had to dip and dodge to avoid the destruction of two squadrons that were also pursuing the Kapella, but still, all the fighters were not destroyed. He continued pursuing the craft, and tried to get a missile lock, though he resorted to laser spray when the lock failed.

Cale sipped his flask in the darkened cockpit of the Auric Runner, staring at an asteroid as it lazily hung in space. it was a pretty good sized asteroid, roughly 50 meters in radius. Cale had no idea what it was made of, but if it wasn't anything valuable, it wasnt worth dragging to a mining station. there was only one good use for an asteroid like this. Using it as an interdictor. Cale watched it spin again and then turned back to the data book on his compuder pad. as he read his book, he hummed a patient tune, like a fisherman waiting for his prey to bite. It was pretty peaceful. hell, he could wait like this all day. Unfortunately, not everyone was as patient as him. Alinn came in and looked at the rock outside and then at the outlaw. "What the hell are we doing here still?!" she demanded. "Waiting." he said. "For what?!" "a Prize." "Cale-" "Its Captain Darksun sweet heart." He said as he flipped the next page of his book. she made an irritated noise and tried again. "Listin you stupid Bishwag! weve been floating out here running silent for almost a day! how long are we gonna keep this up?!" "as long as it takes. Could take days, could take weeks. But sooner or later, something is gonna be pulled out of hyperspace by that rock. and when it does, we'll be ready." "Ready for what?" "Whatever the situation calls for." he said calmly. she glared at him as he sat in the pilot's chair, feet up on the console, flipping through the pages of his electronic book. "Some damn pirate." He rolled an eye back to look at her and grinned. "Avast. shiver me servos. Yarrr. and all sorts of spacial jargon. Sorry Alinn, but not all of Space Piracy is glamorous. like piloting, piracy is a few moments of excitement separated by long periods of boredom. Now get thee hence wench afore I 'ave to keel haul ye." she sighed irritably and left the outlaw to his book. Cale shrugged and continued to read.

Once Angel recognized her target, she stopped using the lightning. Though it was a bit too late, as Cajin fell unconcious. " Well that's just great... I lightninged one of the good guys... " She gave an irritated sigh, hating the idea of what just happened. She turned towards the doorway. " R1, it's safe now. Get in here and do your thing. " R1 rolled in and connected himself to the bridge's main console, and began overwriting systems to shut down the vents, droids, and attempt to move the ship away from the battle, where it would be out of the way.

Mordranna looked on in amazement as R1 tended to his work, as per Angel's instructions. "Handy guy to have around," she commented approvingly. "Now, what to do with Cajin here," she said setting him down from her shoulders. She then set out to tap into the Force, taking his pulse. Good, he's breathing. "I think I can get him up to speed here," she told Angel with a friendly smile. "Anyway, he gave me a call. Well, rather, the Hope Eagle, that patched in to me. Seems he came across a spot of trouble here," Pondering further, it seemed as though something was bothering Mordranna. "That crewman ... he said something about a madman slaughtering the crew. And the description seemed to fit Cajin here," She then shook her head. "But, that doesn't make any sense," Granted, I could see him acting in self defense. But not wanton slaughter!

" I suppose it doesn't, but aren't Jedi always taught that nobody is immune to the Dark Side and all that stuff, basically meaning that nobody is without the ability to do bad things? Not that I'm saying you're wrong, but don't completely rule out the possibility either. " Angel said. " I hope you are right though, I don't want to think of someone like him being a gung-ho maniac. " She looked around for a minute. " Okay, R1's working on the ship, you're helping Cajin recover... Once he's up and able, you think we should find Serpent? "
