Aliya blinked at Feng, honestly confused.

"What?" she asked in exasperation. "What's that look for? What did I do?"


Ulani blinked at Ryu. "Is she seriously like this all the time? With everyone?" She grimaced. "I think I feel sorry for everyone around her."

Lin giggled, she really looked forward to that day when she could, it would be so much fun. Well it would just be fun, then she could visit more, she liked visiting people.

Then again Lin was a very odd child at times.

"I will! It's interesting to see things from way up there."

Aliya rolled her eyes and sighed. "Well anyways, here we are," she murmured, heading past the house and towards the stables. "I have to check on the mares, do you want to come with me today?"

The day before only Ryu had come, after all.



Ulani smiled. "Well, training is definitely an option, and Aliya's hair is ... insanely long ... though she's be braiding it herself since she was three, so Feng would have to be up early enough to wake her up if she wanted to play with it."

Ulani herself had never been one to play with other people's hair, though she remembered her sister-in-law playing with hers when they had been children.

Lin looked thoughtful before answering in quite a stranger forward manner.

"Well you were out of it! And... I don't know, I think it was just fun going up there with Haradhel and she might have thought so too, but you were out of it. You didn't remember me after I met you again after you took me up."

Aliya grinned. "Great, let's go!" she exclaimed, grabbing Feng's hand and dragging her in the direction of the stables. "Come on, maybe Elberon hasn't put them out to pasture yet!"


Ulani laughed softly. "So much energy," she murmured, grinning. "Ah well. I have to find your father, Ryu, are you going to come inside as well? There will probably be something for you to eat if you'd like, I know Aliya doesn't give you time for breakfast."

Lin grinned as she crawled onto his hands for another ride, besides there was no way down any other way.

"Yay!" she giggled and grinned, "Let's go!"


Donovan had already during this time of talking and breakfast preparation gotten dressed and was downstairs in the dining room area. He had noted that Lin was already out, even before Triton who was already down which was impressive.

Along with Cindy that should be about everyone he gathered.

Ulani led Ryu into the house without knocking and called out, "Good morning!" in a voice that was both loud and cheerful. She beckoned for Ryu to follow her into the dining room, where she nodded at Donovan.

"Good morning," she said again at a more moderate tone this time. "I can show you where the slavers are whenever you're ready, though I'm sure you'll want to eat first."

Lin skittered into the dining room avoiding legs and feet as she made her way over to her Daddy with a grin. If she had little wings, one could imagine her flapping them with joy, but she hadn't. She was human, and therefore, no wings for her.

She looked up at her Daddy with her arms out expecting to be picked up and put on the table.

She knew this because the last time she tried to climb a chair and nearly fell. Her Daddy wouldn't let her do that anymore, and sure enough Donovan bent over to pick the little girl up and put her on the table.

"Yes," Donovan murmured to Ulani, "That would be preferred."
