"To us," Faust said, taking Eliza's hand and squeezing it. The anxious expression on his face seemed to double the effect of the toll that mental illness takes on a person. "Whatever it takes, Eliza... I'll stand by you."
"You are my Johann?" Eliza asked, looking into his eyes.
"Yes... of course I am..."
Eliza wrapped her arms around him, pressing his head against her chest so that he could hear her heartbeat but not see the tears in her eyes.

Mephistophiles explained the situation to Faust in the amount of detail Lucifer had provided Eliza with.
"So... a bird will drink her blood... all right," Faust said. He looked confused, but like he shouldn't be questioning what normal people called "reality."

Eliza got into the front seat, letting Mephisto and Faust take the back with Lataru. "It's a half-hour drive to Izumo... thank you for driving us, Netsubo..."

As soon as the car stopped, Eliza leaped out and starting sprinting for the waterfall. Faust ran after her, afraid that she would slip and fall. The sun was just starting to set.
