bb...what the hell are you doing randomly telling people I'm the master of stuff? xD

My character's only a jounin. I think of him more as a water specialist than anything else.

@Pern: I think what bb's saying is that you don't become a master of something by killing a master.
Like if you're a genjutsu specialist, and call yourself a taijutsu master because you killed a taijutsu master.

I did not mean to sound like that. If I had mastered the water jutsus and we challenged then I won and killed you. If I was known for my water Jutsus and I killed the sage then how can I not be the master.

I don't even have the Water element and I was just making an argument about it.

lol true, but the thing is that killing a master isn't makes you become a master.
Just studying and training in the art until you're well know for it is really what being a master is.
Doesn't really require you to fight anybody.

I'm not saying Anyone that wants to be a master can. You dont have to be trained by anyone special. If You want to become a Master of it Train in it and then beat people using that type so that people in the guild know you're a good Rper with it in a bad situation.

If you want to be a Master like Waves does then she can. She doesn't have to follow bb3000ae's way to be it. She doesn't have to train under you either

Nah, nah. See he was leading you on with that.
He said that she would need to be trained by me to become a master water sage.
As in the sage class.
Not a master in water jutsu's xD

Ok well I'll stop rambling now.

Yes it was true because you can't just beat a Sage and become a Sage. Even so I dont consider people masters of something unless they specialize in it. If someone has a bloodline, clan, lightning, fire and water element. Fight with all of them, work on all of them, and studies all of them. I don't consider them a master of any of them. I believe in the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none". So I don't consider anyone a master unless they dedicated their entirety to that skill. Which I believe Sage Class is the sign of someone being a master because they have dedicated themselves to one element and one element alone and may only learn stuff of that element. I'm sorry that I have high standards and just don't throw the term master around for anyone. I don't even consider myself a master of anything, even on weapons because the only styles I know are sword based. So yes she can go off and train in water, she doesn't need to be a Sage to be a master. But it it much easier and your more able to be recognized as such if you are. Not to mention open your mind up to more possibilities with water.

ok I see what you're saying, but it's not just on your opinion. If Waves doesn't want to be a sage and still master it she doesn't need your approval.

Isn't that what being a master is, the approval of everyone that you are a master. Im sorry the standard of master is so low anyone who knows all those water jutsu in the jutsu list and is S ranked is considered a master because it was your main element :/

Alicia: appearently not XD
PostPosted: Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:53 am

I don't care. I don't need anyone approval.
Whenever I think I'm a Suiton Master I will be one.
Until then Stop fighting over something that so trivial and only an opinion to everyone.

yes Ma'am

I still think he's wrong and probably always will.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:56 am

Oh he does have a point there.
I've heard people say they are a master of some element, just because they know all the jutsus in that element.
Makes the word sound a little cheap =/

But ya, I only think of myself as a water specialist.
Not good enough to be considered a water master yet >.>
