I'm deep into politics. One of my passions. I don't like Bush's social views, but his economic ones are alright. I really don't like Kerry's economic views, but I'm in more agreement with his social ones. And then there's the fact that Kerry has Edwards. And I HATE Edwards. For many many many reasons which would be too tiresome to go into.

For many many many reasons which would be too tiresome to go into. Until I get some solid research done, I'm stuck with some basic (and "advanced") facts... Heh. Anyway, I'm out, gotta sleep so I can wake up for a legal meeting involving numbers, words, under-paid employees, symbols, etc, etc.

Bush is leading in Ohio by 1% with 99% of the pecincts reporting in. This does not count absentee ballots.
current count is Bush:254 and Kerry:225.

Kinetic Dream Streamjumper Little Indigo WhiteJoker ..should go to sleep soon... sweatdrop How goes the election? Bush is in the lead. Damn. Hey, can I move in with you? xp Worse things have happened before. Also, keep in mind that these are only the exit polls and preliminary counts. The real results have been different before. Usually the person trailing in the exit polls concedes, but I doubt that will be happening. Besides, I'm sure that with all this 'preperation' for the voting (i.e. Michael Moore and his setting up of cameras at polls and others), there will still be recount after recount. More new age reality Television... stare Actually, I'll cite Michael Moore as one of the top reasons why Kerry might lose. The main crowd his frothing fervor swayed towards the democrats were those already in line with Dean's ideals. To the rest of the country he was yet another "freaky democrat" who helped drive people to the Republicans. I'll get more into my thoughts on the election later.

3.14 This election is going to be so close. whee I find this all so exciting. But I have a feeling Bush is going to win... sweatdrop I have a suspicion that if Kerry wins, its going to be without the popular vote. And I'm going to rub it in the faces of everyone still whining about the electoral college and how unfair it is to win the popular and lose the election.

3.14 I don't really understand how this works. If Bush hits 270, that's it? He wins? None of the other states votes even count? After the official tallies are in, there's no reason to count past 270... its the majority.

That's why Ohio was so important, especially when Bush was at 269 and Kerry at 221. I think the totals have changed since then, and Ohio is still tallying their votes as of this posting. Makes my head spin...

At least I did my part. Meh, nothing you can do! I would LOVE to see Kerry win by like, 1 vote. xd If Bush DOES win...there are going to be some very angry hippies. I can already hear the shouts. ...Literally. I heard shouting last night... at three in tha frickin morning! Turns out it was my dad yelling at Dan Rather.

Makes my head spin... Bush was never at 269, there are just certain less scrupulous newsgroups who have already capitulated Ohio to him. As far as I know, the count is still Bush: 254 Kerry: 252 As of this moment, Ohio, New Mexico and Iowa have not yet bett called. Ohio is too close to call and the other two are still counting votes. New Mexico is still about 50/50 but Iowa is very clearly leaning on the Bush side. If Bush wins Ohio it's a pretty clear sign that he'll have won the election. Sadly, if things go through the longest channels, it will mean that we have to wait 11 days for Ohio to tabulate all it's votes.

And I'll add to that with Kerry's recent statements about the Military and their incompetence, as well as the response made by the US Military. Not one of the top reasons, but still pretty heavy for some areas of the country. Also, I may skip out of the AG until all this election stuff cools down. I'm not really that comfortable about discussing politics with anyone, as they usually end in fights. So, if I disappear, here's my notice.
