So, who here hasn't already heard about Gen V? Anyone? Good! Next question: How many new pokemon do you expect?
I expect at least 108. The current tally is 493, so that would bring it to 601.
At the very minimum, we know about Zorua and Zoroark. If the next games follow established conventions, then we can predict some of the other new additions. Here's what I've got so far: - Three new starters with 3 stages each - A 2-3 stage Normal/Flying bird and a 2 stage Normal rodent, both on Route 301 - At least one 3 stage 'mini-legend' in the vein of Dragonite and Metagross - A Legendary Trio - 2-3 version-specific Legends (Ubers) - New evolutions and pre-evolutions for established pokemon - At least one "event" Legend with solid 100s for base stats
Any other trends you want to predict?

There's no such cat in the metropolis, who holds all the pieces in monopoly, Uhmmm... 8 Badges and an Elite Four + Champion? Something along the lines of a safari zone... 5+ "City"s... An easy to remember region name.

Do you realize that we've never had a Dark-type Gym? Two E4 members used Dark-types, but never a Gym Leader.
Kanto - Rock, Water, Electric, Grass, Poison, Psychic, Fire, Ground (Blue uses mixed types) Johto - Flying, Bug, Normal, Ghost, Fighting, Steel, Ice, Dragon Hoenn - Rock, Fighting, Electric, Fire, Normal, Flying, Psychic, Water Sinnoh - Rock, Grass, [Fighting, Water, Ghost], Steel, Ice, Electric
Every type save Dark is on that list at least once. Blackthorn has the only Dragon-type Gym, Fuchsia has the only Poison-type, and Azelea has the only Bug-type.

iAgent Never know. What if they reveal new types. This seems unlikely. It would require a major rebalancing, which is a lot harder to do NOW than it was when Gen II came out. (Besides, Psychic types were overpowered in Gen I)

There's no such cat in the metropolis, who holds all the pieces in monopoly, @Thard: I was just thinking about that last night! ><
Hmmm... To be honest I don't think they could make any new types, they have the elemental scale filled to max...

To be technical in the old Silver and Gold, the Dark E4 member had a Mixed team.
Same with the Ghost E4 in Red and Blue.
Then again, they didn't have all these pokemon back then, of course I'm not complaining.

Ice_Wolf_Demon To be technical in the old Silver and Gold, the Dark E4 member had a Mixed team. Elite Four Karen. Vileplume and Gengar (both 'dark' sprites back then) plus Umbreon, Murkrow, and Houndoom. 3/5 makes it Dark-type in my book. If you're gonna get technical, then Lance's team was only half-dragon. Gyarados, Charizard, and Aerodactyl fill in the gaps. And Agatha's team was all posion-type, even though she struck me as more of a Ghost trainer.

There's no such cat in the metropolis, who holds all the pieces in monopoly, Well yeah, that's being technical. I'm not saying it to complain or anything like that, just stating it...
Did I not mention that they really didn't have the array of pokemon that they could have nowadays?

Hi Dark!
And Arekku, you stated it in an edit after I'd already begun my post. *Looks up the rematch teams in HG/SS* A lot more type-centric now.

There's no such cat in the metropolis, who holds all the pieces in monopoly, Is there something wrong with editing a post? After all, I really don't like to double post and you hadn't said anything yet....
