Finally got a good night's sleep for a change, feel pretty invigorated.
Everyone else I know is asleep though, so I'm bored.
Cold, yeah I used to get that way when I got off the night shift. Part of being exhausted.
Are you a coffee drinker?

no caffeine for me.. I am more a sugar addict xp I think part of the cold has to do with living in a basement, it is great on those horrific 3 days of the year when we get weather over 30 degrees blaugh , but I freeze the rest of the year stressed

When I first moved south from the mountains, I stayed with my aunt and uncle. They had a dirt floor basement, and that is where I stayed until I could make enough money for a first and last month payment.
Woke up seeing frost on the wall beside the bed a few times.
*shivers* I hated that place.

My aunt had two cats, and they kept the creepy crawlies at bay.
I never had to worry about any bugs, but I knew they were there since the cats would crawl all over my bed to get them.
*shivers* Have I mentioned how much I hated that place?
Bear slippers.... could you see Darth Vizzle in a pair of them? He strikes me as the rugged manly type to own a pair.

*falls over laughing* rofl the image that comes to my mind with the words 'bear slippers' is a pair of adorable chocolate brown teddy bears in the position where they are facing the wearer's legs with those cute little rounded arms so they look like they are about to hug his ankles! heart blaugh rofl

That is the image that I have, only add a dash of spice to the mix and make those teddy bear types into bad a** mountain type bears, and that is what he strikes me as being the kind of slippers he'd have.
Wish I was an artist, then I'd draw the picture of the image you described along with an expression on his face looking down at these slippers with an WTF?!! expression on his face, then saying "More Metal damnit". xd
Maybe the bears would have piercings or something.
