While I'm thinking about it, I must say this --
When I get around to it, I will be posting a picture of the baby (at least one, possibly more if there's time and motivation), sometime soon after he arrives. I want everyone here to know that I know and accept the fact that some newborns simply look like ugly, squishy little monkey-children. You are under no obligation to tell me my baby is cute if you don't think so. Undoubtedly, I will think so, and will tell everyone that he is, whether or not you agree. Just don't feel like you HAVE to say "aww, he's adorable" if your first impression is that he looks like, well, a monkey.
I am saying this now because I am not yet a mother (really) and therefore am still able to be objective about my child's looks. I accept no responsibility for how my attitude will radically change the moment I see his tiny little face. lol
...oh, and if you DO think he looks like a monkey... please don't tell me. sweatdrop

I was prepared to be handed one of the California Raisins, but after I got out of the hospital, I told everyone who would listen that I'd just given birth to the most perfect baby since Jesus. It's all a matter of perspective. X3 Hardly a day goes by that I don't say to Hubby, "I can't believe we had such a cute baby." Not that Hubby and I break mirrors or anything, but really...we're not this good looking. Jonathan won the DNA lottery big time. I'm betting that Baby Richard will be no less squeeable. X3

bp56: Thank you. ^^ I think this is my seventh outfit change of the day, and I feel another one coming on. *lol*
cardi: It could be your bio-clock ticking. The maternal instinct kicks in at different ages and in varying strengths for everyone. X3 Mine got an early start but went dormant after I got married. I was having too much fun as a wife to want to bother becoming a mother. *lol*
