jdr_172000 Vincent. V Ex-~ Omi: Yeah, I read about that, but they gave him some odd name like Beowulf or something like that I believe. Couldn't just stick to basics and call him Cloud Strife. I have to look further into getting a copy, the internet is a wonderfult hing. Anyway, I'm off for tonight, seeya people. He is not Beowulf. You have not finished the side quest. This is basically a case of "my magic is stronger than your magic", regardless of backstories and all that. I can kind of see both sides. What I'll probably do, after hearing from Arch one last time, is make a compromise. Have the weapon not be destroyed and Binatica not hurt, basically her magic vs. his magic fizzles out, but she still holds the weapon and it goes from there. No big ********' deal.

Ugh..You guys are all making me want to play Final Fantasy in a bad way...x_x
I suggest any FF game, really, especially Tactics, VI, VII...
Anything...
...anything but X-2.

Seriously, play some old-school FF for anyone who hasn't. FFV is damn hard. These days RPGs are becoming so easy and "user-friendly." Hey, my RPG should not be like oxymoronic user-friendly modern technology. I want it to make me its b***h, in short. I want to cry after playing from sheer insanity.FF:X-2... Is still not the worst FF game. The story may be horrid- but it has decent gameplay, with the added "Hot chicks WEEE!" pro'. However, Crystal Chronicles? Sucks. EVEN if you can find 3 other people to play with, which is the only way it's fun? If you don't have 4 GBAs WITH 4 link cables, too damn bad. AND, the story is hardly involved with the game at all. Oh, whoopdedo, sometime in the incredibly repetative gameplay you meet another caravan. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Not. I got to Neo X-Death on FFV, but could never beat it. I also got to that last boss on FFIV, but could not beat it either.

beowulf is another guy, a badass oracle [monk? wth was i thinking?] with shock!! in his arsenal. it's said that ramza's family name of belouve is supposed to be "beowulf" but changed because of the not-so-great localization.

I'll tell ya now though - of all games, Chocobos kick the most a** in FFT. For those of you whom haven't been blessed with playing the game - picture stumbling across a wild Chocobo, that suddenly rears up and summons Meteor on you.

When I first saw X-Death pop up in FFV (playing the PS1 version so my friend and I can play together for added kicks), I believe I cracked up. It's one of those "You've got to be joking" moments.
But for him to pull it off and still allegedly be one of the hardest end bosses ever, that just shows what kind of man he is.

Actually, the weapon never used any defensive spells, Clash. Rather, it attempted to autokill me before I could destroy it. There's nothing happening to stop me from destroying his weapon, he's just trying to instakill me and drain all the energy out of me and therefore my spell before I can do so. Either way, the weapon's destroyed. Even if his spell is allowed to hit, Tinanitico can endure something like that for 2-3 turns and easily stop it entirely in one - without slowing her spell at all. EDIT: And if you want to get technical, since Tinanitico is innocent, wouldn't the weapon have killed Arch as soon as he attempted to attack her?

Good points. It was an autokill and there's no reason you shouldn't be able to endure it or fight back, which you did, and then the weapon would be destroyed when your spell goes through. His issue is that you're not losing focus, but I can see your character being able to hold off and endure the assault long enough to finish the spell, which was about to crash down on it anyway, and since it doesn't have a defense besides attacking you, it would be destroyed. It's not that hard for me to believe, especially with characters like Ertai in here. Good one in the edit too, I'll bring it up to him and see what he says.
