But I was using 'just' as a synonym for 'only.' Like, "She only said she was going off for a bit," or "The only thing she told me was she was going off for a bit." That's how I always use that word and how people I know use that word. I was trying to say that was all I knew. I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that someone expected me to know something by using the word 'just,' so I thought it was okay. I didn't realize that some people would take offense at it.

The way you said it at first, sounded like that. However, if you had actually told me 'The only thing she told me was...' That would have sounded nicer, the if you had said, 'She only said...' or 'She just said...'. Both of those sounded like you were trying to be rude.
I understand, now, that you were not trying to be rude, But I'm trying to explain why I acted the way I did, and why I became upset. I also apologize for reacting so viciously. Did I mention I've had to deal with my family? They bring out my worst side, and I have problems turning that off...
