I was using that as an example, don't rain on my goddamn parade. gonk

Give a black mage that massive nuke attack.

Now pit him against a white mage.

Just watch the white mage try and avoid a nuke-like explosion.

RAIN'D! XD I hear ya'.

And Black, play it than. We can't stop you.

... [Begins holding a Playstation in front of you.] Aren't tempting you either. Nope. [Presses it beneath your nose, FFVII-IX and Chrono Trigger stacked on top of it.] Not at all. Seriously.

Ugh..You guys are all making me want to play Final Fantasy in a bad way...x_x

I suggest any FF game, really, especially Tactics, VI, VII...

Anything...

...anything but X-2.

It makes me want to eat a bathtub full of sand.

Seriously, play some old-school FF for anyone who hasn't. FFV is damn hard. These days RPGs are becoming so easy and "user-friendly." Hey, my RPG should not be like oxymoronic user-friendly modern technology. I want it to make me its b***h, in short. I want to cry after playing from sheer insanity.

Actually? In 8-Bit, Fighter wins.

He has IMMORTALITY.
TRY to stab him. TRY! Oh, it worked? PAH! Look, he still stands.
Hadoken? PAH 2! The only person who died there was the ship.
HAMMER?! IF A STAB TO THE BRAIN DIDN'T KILL HIM, BLUNT TRAUMA WON'T EITHER!

BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

But seriously. Fighter's immortal.

WAIT! Scratch that.

SARDA wins. Do I even need to explain? xD

FF3 will always remain the best FF game.

Dude - Chrono Cross isn't that big of a deal..

But you are required to play FFT and Chrono Trigger. They are the s**t, period. For Chrono Trigger: Get ZSNES and a rom, dammit - Uncle Sam will understand. :arr:

And FFT.. picture FFTA, but with a much more mature and advanced plot, some badass class premises, a more expanded monster set-up, etc. It lacks some things FFTA has - but vice-versa as well. And, FFT has some of the bitchin'est secret characters. Some of interest: a cyborg that will take a monster and rip it the ******** up, and Cloud Strife even.

FF:X-2... Is still not the worst FF game. The story may be horrid- but it has decent gameplay, with the added "Hot chicks WEEE!" pro'.

However, Crystal Chronicles? Sucks. EVEN if you can find 3 other people to play with, which is the only way it's fun? If you don't have 4 GBAs WITH 4 link cables, too damn bad. AND, the story is hardly involved with the game at all. Oh, whoopdedo, sometime in the incredibly repetative gameplay you meet another caravan. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Not.

Omi: Yeah, I read about that, but they gave him some odd name like Beowulf or something like that I believe. Couldn't just stick to basics and call him Cloud Strife. I have to look further into getting a copy, the internet is a wonderfult hing.

Anyway, I'm off for tonight, seeya people.

Binatica
Clarifications on my part:

She's in my top tier of characters, the "Circle of Potential Gods/Goddesses", the product of my first real storylines built around Gel. Though much about them can be inferred just from that, they're all former mortals. In her first life, Tinanitico was a scientist, studying the origins and behaviors of magic. And out of all the members of the Circle, she's got the most power and control and intelligence, though she's also got particularly stubborn mental issues and a lack of real combat experience. Speaking of real combat experience, she doesn't have any - every fight she's been in has been at the urging of another member of the Circle, and she hasn't yet killed anyone. In fact, since she's relatively peaceful, this is the first established fight against a mortal she's been in, and while there's a lot of unfilled blank space in her backstory, fighting doesn't fit her personality so there'd be very little of it if any no matter how things go.

As a result of her knowledge and intrinsic affiliations (areas in which her abilities are strongest and most natural), she's got the most direct control over magic, and is currently the only member of the Circle who can do things like directly cast antimagic spells or directly attack a spell at its component parts - and, speaking of which, Smiling-Jak is incorrect. There's a few basics to all magic - for instance, there's always some underlying power fueling it, and it's that power that should be targeted if you're planning to attack magic at its core. That's why I tell Ertai that mechanics don't matter so much - in both magic and psionics, there are certain simple things common to all members of an ability category, and it is those which should be attacked. Anyway, Arch's character is a mostly-melee character whose magical skill is only at the level of weak chi manipulation, so it's a faceoff between Tinanitico and the weapon. Physical items rarely store enough mana to fight off a mage, and without magic-defense powers of its own, Arch's polearm (no, it's not a zanbato, that arose from a misunderstanding in which he used weapon names from a videogame and didn't check his facts) wouldn't have a chance - especially since Tinanitico annihilated it physically and magically at the same time. Its only defense is to attack Tinanitico back - and that won't work, all the members of the Circle are high-power incorporeal beings linked to physical form, and assaulting their life energy tends to be very inefficient as they have a lot of it and are skilled at conserving it and stalling attempts to consume it.

Really, this doesn't even affect me that much, as I haven't yet revealed to Arch she's not human (though he'll find out if he reads the thread); if everything's ruled in favor of him, I'll just cut the arm and that part of her presence, and use the spell energy for something else.

(This post will probably be edited out in a few hours to prevent Arch from seeing; if you'd like a copy of it after that time, PM me)

*got bored and pmed that to arch*

He is not Beowulf. You have not finished the side quest.

xXShilonXx: I hate FF:CC with a BURNING PASSION.
Typhoon Omi: Indeed.
xXShilonXx: That's basically saying,
Typhoon Omi: I'll name the worst FF titles in existance, in order of horridness:
Typhoon Omi: FF: Crystal Chronicles
Typhoon Omi: FFX-2
Typhoon Omi: Mystic Quest.
xXShilonXx: "HEH! HEHEH! NOT ONLY will we go to Sony, and STAY there... BUT WE'LL GIVE YOU A CRAP GAME! AND THEN! Our GCube owning fans will say, 'Huzzah! Finally an FF game for a Current-Gen Nintendo system!', but they'll soon have their souls CRUSHED BY THE SHEER SHITTINESS OF THE GAME! AND, We won't even give it a number, we'll give it a SUBTITLE! CRYSTAL CHRONICLES! LOL!"
Typhoon Omi: XP
