Happy and sad at the same time.* Ali's grin seemingly vanished at the blink of an eye and his eyes turning stale, starring in a rather spaced out manner.* Yourself?

Inadecuate* Ali narrowed his eyes a little before he looked away for a brief moment, smiling at her when looking back.* You should buy yourself a Map, so you don't get lost anymore.

"Feeling lost is not the same as being lost. There is no map for what I seek." she replied. Her tone was not as soft now, having picked up on a sense of bitterness or even anger in his reply. "Have I upset you?"

No, don't be stupid. I just have some things on my mind, that's all. * Ali chuckled a little and sat himself up, crossing his arms infront of his chest instead.* What's the reason you feel lost?

There are certain elements of fighting that seem to be beyond my reach." she said softly, not meeting his eyes. "Until I am truly able to move on from my past, I do not believe I will be able to move forward."

Ah yes, I've heard of that.* Ali smiled a little wider and mischevious at her, slowly standing up and taking off his shades, then the jacket and finally the shirt. Exposing his upper body with it's many scars with a wide grin.* You have moved forward, there is no doubt that you haven't.* Gently his left index finger trailed along a rather long scar going from the lower chest and horizontaly to the side.* I got this one when I stepped infront of a sword that was aimed at little thief, it nearly went through and when it was pulled outwards to my side it was close to bleeding to death. It didn't matter as I had fought for what I consider right no matter how badly injured I were. Yawg fights for pleasure, he enjoys to crush skulls with his fists. Skyheart fights for honor and the grater good. Seisuke fights for friends and peace. A normal police officer fights for order and the safety of his fellow men, a teacher fights for their students to learn and become all they can be. We all fight, question is how will you and what will you fight for?

She was quiet for more than a minute, thinking of everything. "I wish to fight for friends and family .. for the ideals I believe in .. for anyone whom may not be able to protect themselves. Though .. this is difficult .. my friends and family may fight for themselves .. there are so many others whom believe they can protect their own ideals .. and for those whom may not protect themselves, they have lost hope also, which makes it nearly impossible to find them in time. This brings me to something of an impasse, ever waiting for that opportunity to arise where I may be of use."

She looked to him with a clearly unamused expression though not upset. "I have no desire to shine, I only wish to help. If there are none to help, then I am useless. If I am useless .. why am I here? Or rather, why should I remain here?"

Geez lighten up will you.* Ali sat himself back down while still smiling, tossing his feet up onto the table again.* If there is no one else to help then why not help yourself?

She looked to him with a rather similar expression. "And what shall I help myself with? I am clean every day, I meditate when I feel is appropriate, I ensure my home is well kept, I exercise or train every day, I come here when I wish for company, I read books, I endeavor to learn new things and even sort out how to do new things on my own .. what more is there?" she asked in something of a pleading tone.

She pressed her lips together and inhaled deeply, shaking her head a bit. Looking away she pondered for a few moments again before speaking. "How did your mission go?" she asked before wanting to move on to informing him of his visitor.
