Warseer is probably down due to a Cease and Desist from Games Workshop legal. This is merely floating around as a rumour right now, but if true, it would be deliciously ironic.
Also had a chance to play the new Force Awakens X-Wing starter last Sunday. Overall still good, need to get used to TIE's having a shield each now, though the boost move on the X-Wing is a nice addition.

Why would GW give Warseer a Cease & Desist order? From what I have seen they have been scrupulously shutting down anyone who posts rules or copyrighted material. There are other sites that are not.

The rumor about a cease and desist is a few years old. From what I have heard from one of the Mods is that the admins are not very well organized. They do not even have each others email. The only way they were keeping in touch was on the site. The guy that does all the maintenance is also notoriously difficult to contact. Someone on the 9th Age forums contacted GW and they said that GW stated they had not filed a new Cease and desist.

^^;; Good to know I can still make things awkward with a single post...
I think I got second place in a fanfic contest here, a couple of years ago - it was the one with the Death Korps blowing up a church for reasons. Also did those few Battle Reports a couple of years after, and ran the last of the RPs in the roleplaying section a year ago.

Around here, yes.
But other places not so much, though it does help to not have a laser focus on just Games Workshop products and actively encourage discussion of other systems and settings as well without putting the boot down and banning people for reasons unknown.
Hmm, nearly broke my neck from whiplash there, I used to be quite an a*****e mod myself.
