Blank avoided her look as he took a sip of his coffee. It wasn't until she drew her sword that he remembered why she had it, "Oh yeah! Show my old man your blade." He said with a grin as he watched her hand the blade over to his father.

Christian's gaze went single minded when she drew the katana. He remembered everything about the blade...even the simple sound of the weapon being drawn from the sheath was familiar. He took the hilt, feeling the ornate fashioned cloth underneath his fingers.

"Mmmm..." He moaned, rising from his seat and took a step from the dining table and held the katana in both hands. His eyes fell over the dark blade, observing the smaller blade before lightly flicking the durable steel, sending a light ring through the air, "It's almost in the same condition as when I made it...Though alittle beat up; that happens over years." He said in a deep voice, obviously slipping into his professionalism, "There are some tiny bits I can see that need to be tuned...Do you want me too?" He asked Aki, spinning the blade once before extending it out infront of him.

"You kiddin'? I'd love to!" Christian said happily, still inspecting the fine edge of the blade, "I'll take it down to the shop. I've got to head down there today anyway." He said before looking at the younger couple, "You guys wanna stop by?" Blank's father asked, a warm smile on his face.

Blank looked over to Aki, "It's cool." He said with a smile, referring to his father's workshop.

Blank and his mother nearly jumped out of their own seats when Aki jumped out of hers. Christian smiled before nodding, "I'm goin' to be headin' over in a few...There's a few orders I'm fallin' behind on..." He paused a moment before looking a Blank, who rolled his eyes and nodded, "Yeeeah, yeeeah...I'll give you a hand." He said with a crooked smile, "You wanna help too?" He asked Aki, looking up into her excited eyes.

Christian smiled widely before nodding, "Great! Let's waste no time then." He said offering Aki her sword back hilt first before strolling up behind his wife, "You wanna come too?" He asked her jokingly. She smiled before looking up and shaking her head, "Nooo, that's okay. I have work to do too." She replied. Christian grinned before leaning down and giving the older woman a kiss, in which Blank rose from his seat, looking over to Aki, "I'll be right back, I gotta grab my blade, might as well tune that up too while we're there." He said, smiling and giving her a light kiss and walking to his room.

Christian nodded as he slipped his large boots on, leaving his laces untied, "It's not too bad, but it works." He replied, moving to his large leather jacket that hung on a coat rack and threw it on, adjusting it over his white t-shirt.

Blank came up the hallway, gunblade in his sheath at his hip and smiled at Aki, "'Kay! Let's get goin'." He said with a smile, taking her hand as he followed his father out the front door, "See ya, mom." He called into the kitchen where his mother waved.

Christian took in a deep breath of the fresh air, the sun shining high behind some clouds. He looked down the street, waving at one of the neighbors before stepping off the concrete stoop and onto the stone walkway, "C'mon." He said with a grin matching Blank's as he led them down to his shop.

The trio walked down the street, Christian leading the way until they finally took a right, the beach in view. People and their dogs were scattered across the small beach strip, running around with children, tossing Frisbee's and playing in the water. It was strange how people immediately jumped at the chance to have fun, even this early in the morning.

Christian pulled a set of keys from his jacket pocket, fiddling with one before choosing another and opening the large door that had bars over it. Pushing it open, a set of stairs were revealed as they led down to the basement, "The stairs are steep, be careful." He told Aki with a glance her way and a smile. He led the way to a dark basement with Blank in tow behind him.

Flicking a light switch at the bottom of the stairs, a series of florescent lights flickered on above; revealing a very large basement with a dirt floor beneath. A large iron oven with still burning coals sat against the left corner, filling up a majority of the room, a pool of water in a stone tub in the center of the room, stretching six feet in length, and three feet in width. On the right wall, a cabinet filled with various objects, ranging from Bomb Fragments to Wizard Stones sat upon trays and trays, bottled or wrapped up. A window lined the wall furthest back, where Christian walked over and opened it, letting out the smoke that had built up over the night.

A large anvil sat beside the pool of water with another large six foot plate of metal, 6 inches thick sat against it, "I've got this order to make a Zweihander...damn thing is taking longer to forge than I thought." Christian said, removing his jacket and rolling up the sleeves of his t-shirt. He walked over to a dresser which sat beside his large oven and pulled open a dresser, pulling various tools out from within.

Blank led Aki further into the shop, "It gets pretty hot down here." He said, already feeling the warmth as he strolled over to the stove and poked at the hot coals with an iron bar.

Christian grinned, "Yeeeah, this is my...second favorite place in Dollet." He said, setting his hammer atop the anvil before grabbing the six foot tall board of metal and heaving it over to the wall and setting it down with a loud thud, "Okay...Let's see your blade, Aki." He said, feeling the heat in the room increase slightly as Blank boasted flames from the hot coals in the stove.

Christian took the blade happily as he held it by the hilt, while his other hand's fingers gripped the dull side softly, "If you look carefully...You can see where the blade is chipped." He said informatively, holding the blade in the light, "...Just small chips...but they could get bigger." He said, guiding his thumb over the smooth finish, "But you do take very good care of it." He looked down at Aki with a smile before walking over to the stove, "Is it hot?" He asked Blank, who smiled and nodded, "Yup. As hot as it'll get. Gonna need to throw some more on it, though." Blank replied, setting the iron bar down beside the stove and walking up beside Aki, taking a seat against the pool of water as Christian turned the blade over and over.
