Connor replied, "I do."
Tsurai growled and tore his face away, beginning to pace again, grumbling things to himself and shaking his head.

Braeden yawned before standing, scratching his sides while stretching. "Weeeelllllllppp.. You can be crazy in here by yourself. I think I'm going to go find something to do." He tiptoed past Tsurai and once out, jogged over toward some lesser ranking Denziens to boss them around.
Isiah smiled weakly. "Good."

Tsurai gripped his head and leaned against the back wall. "What should I do?" He didn't want to appear too eager, but he was anxious to get everything back to normal. What was normal, anyway? Braeden brought up a good point, though. Why was Tsurai so jealous?
Connor, in the awkward silence, got up and started to walk out. "I guess I will see you later."
Tsurai grabbed the last beer and headed for Isiah. He didn't care how eager he looked. It was his right to get back his only friend.
Connor walked out of Isiah's house, only to be greeted by Tsurai. A "hrm" escaped the man while he feld out his arm, blocking the boy. "Where do you think you're going?"
Tsurai glared at Connor, "Where does it look like?" The older man stared down at the younger, finally grabbing the dogtags and pulling Tsurai toward him, so he could talk and Isiah wouldn't hear. "You hurt him and I'll kill you. And I mean that. Emotionally, physically. You hurt Isiah, I'll cause you so much pain you'll wish you were dead." He pulled the boy up to his face, lifting him off the ground. Tsurai grabbed Connor's arm so all the pressure wasn't on his head through the chain. "Understand?" Connor barked.
Tsurai was in pain, but still managed to hoarse a "Yes." He didn't know if explaining that he wouldn't hurt Isiah was worth it. Connor dropped Tsurai and walked off without looking back.
The 20 year old rubbed his throbbing ears that had been squeezed by the chain, and shook his head to try to get rid of the sting. Now he didn't know if he wanted to go to Isiah's anymore.

Isiah hadn't heard any of Connor's initial warning, but he did hear the 'understand' and stood, walking to the door and pushing the cheaply woven cloth aside. "Connor?" He saw Connor's back as he slunk away, Tsurai standing there with a beer bottle in his hand, looking hurt and bewildered. That was the usual.
He paused, watching Tsurai for a minute. "What happened to you?"

Tsurai hesitated, looking back at Connor's dissappearing form, to Isiah. "It was.. Uh..." He took a deep breath. "It was nothing," Getting serious, he thrust out the beer toward Isiah. "I brought you this."

Isiah opened his hand for the bottle, before turning it in his palm to try to read the label. He looked up at Tsurai, smiling a little. "Trying to buy my forgiveness with a heineken?"

He smirked slightly. "No, I just know you like beer. There were two, but Braeden drank the other one. Sorry." He chuckled slightly.
"Anyway, I wanted to apologise.. For everything. I wanted to know if there was anything I could... Do, to express that."

"Could have at least splurged and bought me a St. Paulie's girl." Sarcasm, of course. He smiled weakly. "I dunno if a beer can do that. Seems like you just want me to be your friend now because your other one is dead. I don't like being the second violin, you know that?" He eyed Connor's retreating form, groaning. "He's not too fond of you, either."

Tsurai scratched the back of his head, looking embarrassed. "I still can't read, Isiah. I took what they gave me." He sighed, flopping his hand to his sides. "You're not my second violin. You're not a violin. I'm not even quite sure of what a violin is, but you're probably not one." He coughed. "What I mean is. I always liked it when you were my friend. Last time when I came back, I still wanted to be your friend, and Alex wasn't gone then. I still wanted to tbe your friend when I left you."
He looked down, shoving his hands in his pockets. "She carried me off, Isiah. I was too weak to walk on my own. And when we found the other town I was still almost dead. I couldn't do anything and I didn't know where this town was in comparison to the one I was at. I asked about what happened but Alex said it was better off I didn't know, so I only remember bits and pieces." He looked up at Isiah. "You tried to kill me when I came here last time. I couldn't help going back and trying again later."

Isiah grunted. "Don't try to play innocent with me, Tsurai. After you stomped on my nuts ten thousand times and I peeled the skin off my back to keep you safe, you ran off with the girl that drugged and rape you. There's no way you can make that sound innocent. No way in hell. Not even if you'd managed to get me a keg of St. Paulie's." He crossed his arms over his chest.
"At any time you could have told her, y'know, Alex, Isiah is my friend, my dear dear friend, and I don't want to hurt him like you want me to. But you didn't. You chose to do what you did. And to leave like you did. Weak or not. And after all that time, kid, I was tired of being your papa, when you'd rather trade me in for a p***y. WHich is, in essence, what you did. So I hope you're ******** proud of yourself."
He ground his teeth, his face set in angry determination to have his damn point known. "Don't try to wriggle out of it. Because there isn't a way to."

Tsurai looked down at the ground, his posture slumping. He wouldn't try to defend himself anymore. He gave up. "You're right. I'm sorry. I won't try to get out of it." He swallowed and looked up, remorsefully. "Do what you want. I won't fight back."

Isiah gave Tsurai a wierd look. "What kind of monster do you think I am, kid? I got all the fight out of me the last time you came." He snorted. "Forget about it, okay?.." It, being, the whole betrayal. Isiah was tired fo dealing with it.

"You're not a monster." He was confused. "You always don't make any sense to me, Isiah. I do something wrong and you never do anything about it. Doesn't that feel weird to you?" Tsurai felt like he should be punished. Isiah never gave that. It was why, subconciously, Isiah had no authority. And when Isiah did beat on Tsurai, he didn't specify why, usually, so it was disconnected from actual punishment.

Isiah grunted. "Hitting someone isn't punishment. It's.. torture. It's pointless. I'm not an animal, Tsurai. I'm a human being. Whoever taught you that punishment had to be physical, well.." He groaned. "They probably forgot that."

Tsurai looked away with a sigh. "Sometimes I think animals are all we are," he stated softly.
Tsurai looked back up at Isiah. "I can't take care of myself. I need someone to live with. I started to freak out the people in my town so they suggested I go out. I have no where else to go, Isiah. I... I like it when you teach me things."
