On any other circumstance Jendayi would have stood up to Maji for ordering her around, but she obeyed with a sudden nod. She started to leave, but turned on her paws and whispered into Mizaku's ear, so Maji could not hear, "I love you, Mizau. Get better." Embarassed now, she turned quickly away and disappeared into the jungle. She found the objects and wondered what Maji would do with them. She carried the sticks, leaves and such to Maji quickly then again, disappeared. She wouldn't be able to see what would happen next to Mizaku.

All the while Jendayi was gone Maji looked over the wounds, moving the leopard to lay more comfortably on his side. Once she arrived he set to work, sitting back on his haunches. The leaves were a bit wider than needed but perfectally long enough to help. He extended a claw and slid right down the center of the leaves, a clear gel poured from the stalk where once connected the leaf's stem to the rest of the tree. This gel was thick and sticky but not at all harmful to the body. Carefully he allowed it into the open wounds. The gel would sting for a moment then simply numb the surrounding flesh. Maji had discovered after an incident with the cliffs that the gel held back blood from escaping the body as well as kept anything dirty out. He repeated this process several times, milking each leaf dry until they were very thin strips of leaves. After filling each wound with the gel he took those odd strips and wrapped them tightly around the wounds on the cub's legs and tail- if he had any. The ones on his sides were unfortunatly on a place in his body that would be hard to wrap. The leaf strips he secured down with the long blades of grass, dampening them in the river to give them more flexabilty. They'd shrink when they dried which would hold the leaves tighter to the wounds. Reaching up, Maji moved the mane from his face.
"Jendayi, I know you're near by. I need you to watch him. I have more supplies in my cave that will help him recover." He got to his feet and made his way back to the river, washing his paws off quite carefully while humming to himself. He was an odd creature, behaving nothing like a proper lion but it was times like this that all that was handy. Maji knew more than he felt he should know, it was all a blur in his mind why. Why he woke up alone, why he knew how to read, how to write, why he knew all the ways of the pride, and why his family line was hidden from him.

((Well... there isn't much he can do right now... physically sweatdrop Guess he can always talk to himself xp ))
Everything was silent for the hurt, tired, and unconscious leopard. He was completely oblivious now to what was going on outside his own mind, and hadn't heard Maji's commands nor Jendayi's sweet words. In his thoughts, everything was black. He was wandering in nothing but the empty, ever going darkness of his mind. A low, eerie voice slowly started to pierce the quiet serenity. Finally, all of us together, hissed the more snake-ish version of his own voice, What are you doing? Light, -red light-, appeared in front of him, making a dreary sort of glow. Two crimson circles; eyes glaring right at him. "I'm... I'm sleeping... I think I'm sleeping," Mizaku answered with a yawn, "Boy is it dark..." I see... the voice replied; the eyes blinked once, Do you know why you're here? "... Am I... dead?" The scratchy, dark voice snickered at that. Suddenly, the light grew much stronger, it revealed a blood-red counterpart of Mizaku. This was what his mind had worked up to put his murderous side into imagery. And cowering right behind it, was a snow-white colored leopard. It was the side of Mizaku that was a paranoid, frightened mess. "... Who--... who are you?" Mizaku questioned, narrowing his eyes. You know who we are, spoke the glowing red creature, We're you... The white leopard leapt forwards, skidding behind Mizaku and hiding with his paws over his head. It screeched and trembled like a frightened rabbit. "... But... b-but I'm the real me, right?" he said, his voice quivering slightly while trying to ignore the white leopard. You'd like to think that, wouldn't you? the crimson one snarled, Don't be such a fool. It swished it's tail, sitting down and lifting it's head haughtily. GO AWAY! whined the white version of Mizaku, still cowering in fear. This was all very confusing to the injured leopard... He wasn't sure how he was supposed to respond. Before he could say anything though, the darkness started blurring; so did the images of these two... "things". "W-what's happening?!" he cried, glancing back and forth rapidly, "What's going on?!" It looks like you'll be leaving for a while... the glowing red Mizaku grumbled, We'll make sure to bring your back... soon. "What?" Mizaku retorted, "I don't understand--" Before he could finish, this dream-like state faded away. He was going to wake up.
((Well, I guess that pretty much proves he's insane @_@ ))

((But he's still so cute while being freakishly insane!))
Jendayi heard Maji's words from a branch, but didn't reply. She watched Mizaku, eyes full of care and love. She yearned to be able to lie by his side, wait for him to wake, but she didn't. she knew she couldn't. After what she did... there was no posible way he could forgive her. But, jher words... to him. What did they mean? She didn't think of saying them when she left for the treatments, but she remembered what she felt.
She lenjoyed saying them to young Mizaku, though. That was another thing, he was younger. Somehow, it seemed wrong. He was barely older than a cub... Jendayi hopped off her branch, trying to escape the thoughts that plagued her mind. She sat a few yards away from the leopard and was able to hear him softly muttering to himself. Jendayi hesitantly got up and padded towards him. She lifted a paw and lightly touched his shoulder balde, just inches from the wound. He was wet and she could tell he was cold, but she couldn't manage to understand what he was saying. Just on of the many things I haven't been understanding today. She told herself and bent her neck to his face. He was definitely tallking to himself. In his sleep. Jendayi nudged Mizaku's forehead with her nose and took a step back, afraid he would bemad at her if he woke.

(( xd Alrightly then.))
Mizaku watched as everything went dark again. Slowly, he began to hear the sound of... of water. It was the river... right? He sniffed the air once, instantly picking up not only the scent of the river... but of blood... and Jendayi. His eyelids blinked open soon afterwards, and the leopard coughed as he took his first "conscious" breath. Though he could barely see, he was able to make out Jendayi.
Mizaku's eyes swelled with fear again, staring straight at her and letting his breaths quicken. The end of his tail began to flicker nervously; the last thing he remembered was watching those huge paws slam down on him, claw him, pushing him under the water while his vision faded to black. The frightened creature put a weak amount of strength to his front feet against the dirt in a useless attempt to push himself backwards; away from Jendayi. Mizaku's ears went flat, and he figured this was the end, she was going to eat him. Right?

Tears pushed at Jendayi's eyes as she backed away from Mizaku. "I'm.. I'm sorry Mizaku." She said faintly, "I... you just bit me... and I just... got scared I guess. I don't know." She ached everywhere. Her legs felt queesy and her eyes ached as she pushed back tears. She wanted to run now. Turn and run and never put Mizaku through that pain again.

Maji stepped back slowly from the two, "Watch over him. I won't be too long." He moved easily from them, walking at a calm and smoothe pace, his eyes locked forward. Neither seemed to aknowlage him very much, not that it really mattered one way or another. He was just tired of meeting up with someone only for them to fade from his life in one way or another, left alone to the routene life of solitude once again. His paws easily picked their way among the slippery rocks of the cliffs raising up to meet the waterfall, the cool splash of mist whipping in his fur and mane. It didn't bother him, if anything it was a comfort. The waterfall was his guardian and best friend he could say. Whatever happened to the others it had hidden him in its mysterious embrace, sheltering him from harm and drowning out any cries he may have made with its constant roar. Slowly he leapt into the cave and paced his way through the winding halls, his eyes glancing now and then to the markings and writings upon the walls, illuminated by a dull blue light from beds of crystals here and there. The floors lay padded with a thick and spongy moss, keeping it both warm and cool at various points in the year. His living quarters opened up towards one of the deepest caverns, a pool of water where he kept the more beatuful fish that he had caught. The markings sudjested that it was the shaman's looking pool but Maji had yet to dicover how to make use of it. His living room was more or less like a large house- a cooking area had been formed under a light that beamed from a hole in the celing, magnified by gems. The light would slowly cook the meat he prepared for himself, dry the herbs he would grind, or warm the water he collected from the pool. Bowls made of wood, clawed hollow from logs. Leaves cupped on the inside to hold liquids- colored chalks and pants used for writing. Shelves, counters, even primitive tools.
Maji picked through his plant collection, selecting a good majirity of his pre-dried herbs and laid them into a bowl. A stone had been made as a sort of grinding tool. Sitting back on his haunches and holding the bowl with his tail Maji used the stone inbetween his paws to crush the herbs to a fine powder. Once that was done he removed the water he had been warming and poured the herbs into it. Another clump of plants was placed into the bowl and crushed up, only a bit of water was added and the result was a thick paste. He carefully placed a thin "lid"over the warm herb water and set the second bowl onto it. Finally he fumbled through some holding containers for strips of hide- they had been left in the cave, he'd not had the heart to kill anything above a fish. They would do well for the wounds on the leopard's sides and head. Taking everything he placed it into a bucket that he normally used for fishing and carefully made his way back, climbing backwards down the cliffs and walking very slowly and carefully back to the two.
Setting everything down and arranging them to his liking he set to work, sitting back on his haunches once again. Taking the paste he used a leaf to smear it into the wounds. It would burn and bite for a few moments before setteling. Each wound was smeared with the thick herbal paste then wrapped with the strips of animal skin, tied tightly through use of Maji's mouth and oddly capable paws. The mistweavers were an advancement in evolution- while other races grew larger and more powerful they grew more lean and wise, their paws had longer thumb "stubs' than the others wich eventually brought raise to their written language and knowlage of herbal magics and what not. Finishing with the wraps he washed his paws off again then returned to the leopard's side, "Here... drink this. It'll give you stregth for the blood that you lost. It's a trifle bit bitter and it will feel odd in your nose but nothing that's good for you is plesent." He reached a paw down, supporting the leopard's head as he slowly poured the warm herbal water into his mouth, "Slowly now... don't upset your stomach."

((Maji's wise-ness is adorable xd ))
Mizaku stared at Jendayi, his attention was so centered on her that he hadn't even noticed Maji leave, or the leaves wrapped around his body. The only thing he could feel right now was fear; he hadn't been this afraid of someone in... in ages, so it felt like. Mizaku knew that when he was running from her, all he wanted to do was escape from the sight of blood... and from her. Why had he been scared of her? ... Then when the lioness grabbed him and tried to pull him back, he knew he'd have to fight to be free. Yes, he had bitten her... but only out of... self defense? Right? He scared to death of Jendayi and she wouldn't let him go... what else could he do? But then... it backfired... Mizaku thought she'd understand by then, but instead... the much larger lioness broke out in rage and tried to kill him.
These close memories would not let go; and the hurt, tan leopard was unable to believe Jendayi. He was still afraid of, and might always be. What had happened was not something easily forgotten... He wanted to run again, he still thought she was going to hurt him. And then suddenly Mizaku felt burning and stinging all over his body. He snapped his view back to where Maji was standing, wondering where even more of this pain was coming from. But... somehow. in his confusion, he was able to understand that Maji was only helping.
Mizaku gritted his teeth in pain, and then relaxed, fixing his eyes on the male lion's body. It seemed like a stupid time to think about it... but... what where those markings? They were... interesting. He felt Maji hold his head up and give pour this "medicine" down his throat. It did not taste very well... but then... the pain of his wounds took away from the reality of it's bitterness, and he drank it as Maji commanded without question.

((X3 I wurve my widdo guy)) Maji was sure to give the leopard the entire dose of the warm water, he'd been careful in pouring the liquid so none of it was wasted. It would give the cub strength where he'd lost blood and keep his body relaxed so natural healing could have a chance. Him becoming tense did little to help him, if anything it made the body focus elsewhere rather than on his wounds, "You'll be fine now. The best thing you can do is rest." He set the bowls aside, neatly stacking them back into his "bucket". "I don't dare move you to my dwelling but this jungle is safe enough, I doubt there'll be anything here to cause you trouble or harm. Right now the biggest thing you need to worry about it resting yourself."

Jendayi watched Mizaku suffer. she didn't want to be enar him naymore, only away. She backed away into the forest and climbed the tre she had been perched on earlier. She watched Maji work his magic onMizaku with fearful eyes. Was it magic Maji was using? He was very wise. Jendayi consoled herself with thoughts of Mizaku rapidly getting better and healing. But, what would happen then? He would never wish to see her again, that was for certain. jendayi let herself wallow in shame and disgrace. She didn't stop herself and felt the pain Mizaku was surely feeling.

Mizaku watched Jendayi leave, slightly easing the fear. It was confusing... was she going to kill him... or was she running away now? He tried to take a deep breath to calm down and then returned his eyes to Maji. This lion seemed to be a relaxed... shaman... sort of creature. Oddly... he didn't even seem feline... more of greater, much wiser being. Mizaku had a wild imagination.
He listened intently to Maji's words, and did as he was told. But it was going to take a while to really be able to "rest"... As long as he wasn't alone, though... then it wouldn't be that bad... would it? Mizaku sniffed and listened to the river, since it always put him to sleep...((OMG LOOK AT MIZAKU!!! heart ))

Jendayi sat and watched mizaku become drowsy and start to fall into a slumber. She saw how the evening light made him look very handsome and saw the maturity in his boyish face. She purred softly as she watched him and realized how much she wanted to protect him. But, she knew what protection meant. She hopped off her tree and trotted towards the waterfall. She picked up the leaf that held their stoned and walked slowly back to Mizaku. She set the leaf down beside his face and didn't look to see if he was sleeping. She saw her rock; the soft beige with dazling black shineys placed in it.
It reminded her of Mizaku's pelt and bent down to take it in her mouth. She didn't turn to say a farewell, she didn't think on her actions. She just turned with a flick of her tail away from the waterfall. The waterfall that held so many waterfalls, including this very horrific one. She started padding towards the thick trees again and wondered where she would go. Her thoughts weren't on Mizaku, nor Maji, and not even what she was really doing, just which destination would be the best for her situation. ((And I'm off! I don't know if I'll be here today, so she's just going off now to do some sould seraching while I'm on vacation! *points to sig*))

He turned and watched the female go, taking a deep breath that was soon released into a disappointed sigh. She wasn't even going to have the courtesy enough to watch over the leopard as he returned all his supplies to his cave? How fabulous. His annoyance wasn't at all apparent in his face unless one was very, very close to the cub. His eyes narrowed slightly as he shook his head, moving to the river once again to wash his paws. He'd have to sleep out here, transporting the wounded leopard would be no simple task... the leopard was easily larger than he was though perhaps younger. Shaking his paws off to the sides he padded back to the leopard. "Females... flitty and intrusive... no common courtesy in any of them I swear to the rains."
He sighed, looking about himself. The sun was falling over the horizon line, already the first stars of night were coming into place. It would be cold... and the leopard had been in the water. Lords he hated how a freaking female didn't have enough common courtesy to watch someone while he went up and fetched something to perhaps keep them warm- supplies for starting a fire or a skin perhaps. The thought of roughing it like...other lions really didn't appeal to him. With an aggravated huff he laid himself with his back against that of the leopard's. It was a little warmth but it was something at least. "I don't know who has less luck- you or I. Either way we're both stuck here."

Still padding along through the forest Kali came upon a cascading waterfall.
"My, my," she murmured to herself quietly, "what have we here?"
Creeping a bit closer she examined the water through her amethyst eyes. Confirming her suspicions she stepped through the falling water, reappearing in a concealed cavern. Shaking her pelt free of the water that had landed on her, she waited for her eyes to adjust to the change in light. Blinking her eyes she padded into the deeper part of the cavern.
"Wow, this cave really goes on for a while. I wonder where it will lead."
Peering at the walls she noticed the cryptic runes painted all around her. Padding closer she placed her front paws up against the walls, looking at the runes painted on the walls.
"This must be the land's history on these walls."
Folding her ears back she glanced all around her. Coming back down to all fours she padded around a bit more. Exiting through the waterfall, she went a ways into the forest. Finding a small tree, placed her paws upon in and threw her body against it, causing a good number of leaves to fall. Then, scooping up the fallen leaves she bundled them nicely and placed them in her mouth. Heading back to where the caves werem she disappeared back into the hidden cave. Continuing a little into the cave, she dropped her leaves and spread them out a bit. Circling around in the leaves, she flopped down into her new bed.
