"I hate to change plans so suddenly, not that we really had one to begin with," she laughed, "But why don't we go on ahead to the Weather Institute? I know the others will be able to catch up, although I'm a bit loathe to leave them behind, I don't think we'll get too far if some of us at least don't go ahead and get moving," she laughed.

"Sandstorms are a whole lot worse than thunderstorms, I think we can manage," she grinned her challenge to Brayden.

"Hm, in Blackthorn, we didn't get many storms," Chloe spoke up, glancing up at the sky, "Just the occasional flares from the Lake of Rage, which were horrible," she laughed. "But for some reason, I always liked sitting by the window as a kid, watching the lightning. I think it was perhaps because I grew up on stories of how Dragonair controlled the weather, so I was hoping to see one, but I also love watching storms, just for kicks."
The sky was beginning to blacken, the further the two got from Mauville, as the thunder boomed overhead, a sizzle of lightning arced across the sky.
