JoVo I love real life politics. That's why I'm a political scientist, after all! 3nodding There seems to be a strange sense of continuity between "political scientist" and the fact that your character almost in full wraith gear. It's more the bureaucracy, pot shots, and the pure lack of understanding for the people is what I dislike. What happened to rule by the people? A little thing we call democracy? I take my responsibility to vote quite seriously. More so because all three levels of election were scheduled to coincide in 2004. What angers me is that no one here puts in the effort to spread their message around. Hardly any real campaigning was done for the municipal election, or the federal. With less than a month a way until the provincial one, only now are we starting to see it make it's way into the papers. Even then it's just a small box on the front page. I made an effort to ask about specific issues, and what I got back was some garbage that the issue was negligible in regards to the election. How is the condition of our city streets and general environment (i.e. the growing smog problem and destruction of greenspace) not relevant? Then they wonder why there's voter apathy. They aren't listening, therefore they don't give a toss about us. On another note, I haven't actually visited the shops for a while. To my surprise, H.R. Wesley is selling Chippendales-esque skivvies. Cuffs and collar to match. Edmund seemed too bitchy to be completely straight.

Damian, must you? So many people just don't understand what geung xi are. They simply don't have the childhood memories of B Chinese horror flicks from the 70's. I remember trying to explain them, and it loses something in translation. Especially the "hopping" part.
Though I must admit the top and hat for that costume is tempting. sweatdrop

Keithing There seems to be a strange sense of continuity between "political scientist" and the fact that your character almost in full wraith gear. sad Keithing It's more the bureaucracy, pot shots, and the pure lack of understanding for the people is what I dislike. What happened to rule by the people? A little thing we call democracy? We still elect our leaders. The thing is that the majority appears to support the sort of government that will slowly enslave us and make us the enemy of the world. That is not the fault of democracy. That is the fault of the people who have, quite frankly, become apathetic to their duty within a democratic state. I hope that changes on November 2nd, or we're going to be in trouble. Keithing I take my responsibility to vote quite seriously. Amen. Unfortunately, it takes active citizenship to bring that about, and that's what people like you and me have to do. I do not have the time to get involved due to full-time work and full-time school, but you wait until I graduate. I'm gonna cause a ruckus like only I know how! 3nodding Keithing Then they wonder why there's voter apathy. They aren't listening, therefore they don't give a toss about us. They listen when you vote. If you think your vote doesn't matter, then they won't care about what you have to say. You care about your vote. I care about my vote. A large majority don't. We cannot change this country unless we try to do something about this.

:'( I'm in a situation.. I've just noticed an extra October letter in my inventory, since I've been spasming out with the new items and such I'm not sure whether its a dupe or just a miscount in my purchases.
I've already contacted a Green Mod lastnight, sadly she had to go. So I'm waiting for at least one other Green mod to show up today... man.. they're like rare Pokemon now whee !! I'm in such a worry because I'm scared I'd get a ban notification when I log in.
Anyway I shall go now..
Btw Keithing, I know Gung Xi mostly from Bonguns in RO ^_^!!!

I was joking, JoVo. Like any profession or personal interpretation of mindset, it comes down to what they are as an individual, but there is a lot of stigma attached to the word "politics" nowadays. *hug* whee I was also explaining the voter apathy. No one in my family votes on a consistent basis when the opportunity arises. I've been trying to prod them to do it for years, finding it an injustice that I could not vote when I felt so strongly about the issues, while they wasted their votes. We have the option of voting "undecided"! That at least gives politicians a wake-up call that they aren't doing enough to get the public interested in what they do. Instead we have low vote turn-out and the percentage just keeps getting lower every election. I guess that makes the people who are emphatic about their position count more than others by default, which is potentially very dangerous for people of all political ideologies. This is how dictatorships and oligarchies rise up. How soon we forget. Damian: Are you serious? You understand the basic concept of them, right? Nadia: I say go for it. Your only competition there is from extreme Megatokyo fans who dress up as Ping.

Keithing Damian: Are you serious? You understand the basic concept of them, right? Uhh.. they're basically zombies? x.x? They look so cute and adorable on RO though!!! And I swear they were aimed to please the gay necrophiliac players! Considering that you can capture Bongun a a pet.. and with maximum friendliness/intimacy, it can do the trick of unbuttoning its shirt and showing some skin o.o'''
