Name:ErikIsLife, but lots of people call me Alysha, so just call me whatever you would like!
Location: At my house.
Instrument(s): I mainly play trombone. I was first chair all of last year (except for one time, but that was because my trombone was getting fixed in the shop. Stupid tuning slide) But it was kind of cheating because I was in middle band when I was supposed to be first chair Honor band (top band at my school). There was a scheduling mishap and my director and I figured that, instead of going through the hassel of changing the schedule, I could just be a show off for a year! Anyhow... I am learning bass trombone this year! *squeals* sorry, just excited! I also play guitar, piano, Indian flute (don't even ask about that one!), recorder, some trumpet, clarinet and few other random instruments.
Name of Your Band: Honors band...I guess. We really don't have a name.
What Your Uniform Looks Like: White, overly starched jacket shirt thing with a freakishly high elvis collar and black pants. Not very creative, are we? But that is for concert band. Me no marchey yet.
Favorite Song to Play: Probably one of the solo jazz pieces my private lesson teacher and I have worked on. I can play "Blue Moon" unnaturally fast on both piano and trombone!
Interests: I love theatre, and Phantom of the Opera is my absolute favourite! I also write like an addiction and...I'm out of ideas. Oh, I compose music. Some of it alot better than others!

What Your Uniform Looks Like: Our uniforms are horrible. They're something that popped out of a black and white movie, only more drugged up. x3
Favorite Song to Play: Pink Panther. =3 It's easy, but when doing it as a band it can sound amazing.
Interests: I'm a big fan of literature... I'm obsessed completely with the Twilight series, and if you've read it then you automatically reach my good list. ;D I listen mostly to rock, though I like hip hop as well. Jazz is also one of my favorite genres, though I enjoy playing it more than listening to it.

I play percussion (snare drum in marching)
I live In Iowa City and attend City High School
I play in the City High school band program (one of the best in the country) under the conducting of Dr. Myron Mcreynolds
Our Uniform: White Gloves, Black Shoes, Black pants, White jacket with Red stripe across front and a strip of fabric on the left side that has CHS going down on it, a black hat with a red thingy coming up from the top. (as you probobly guessed our school colors are red and white, go little hawks!)
Favorite song to play is "Sturdy Little Hawk" our school fight song.
Thats pretty much it mrgreen
My attitude is fun loving and humorous.
Additional info: I am 14 years old and have been a percussionist for about 4 and half years now, I have also recently started learning to play guitar.
Our band program has won many awards, and I am proud to be part of the City High School Band, The band of my father and uncles. Plus our drumline is freakin' awesome wink

Location: home is Leominster, MA, but currently in Amherst, MA for school
Instrument(s): Flag!!! plus a lil bit of rifle. I can also play a little bit of violin, but it's more of a random hobby than anything I actually do for band. At one point, I was also able to play french horn, recorder, piano, and guitar, and once learned a few notes of flute and piccolo.
Name of Your Band: My high school band was the Leominster High School Marching Blue Devils. Currently, I am kind of a groupie (not marching) for the University of Massachusetts Minutemen Marching Band.
What Your Uniform Looks Like: ehm....The LHS band uniform is a short white jacket with a blue jag across the top/collar and sleeves, a blue cape, white/blue/silver cords depending on grade and rank, LHS on the sleeve, white gloves, blue pants w/ a darker blue stripe, black shoes, blue and white shako w/ an L and plume, and an LHS Marching Band t-shirt underneath. The drum major variation has white pants. The guard uniform (MY old uniform! lol) is a blue tunic w/ velvet at the top and sheer fabric at the sleeves and bottom/tail plus a flesh colored strip at the top, with black pants and black turtleneck leotard underneath, black socks and shoes, guard gloves, and blue scrunchy (silver for captains).
While I'm not in UMass band, I kinda was at one point, so here's their uniform: white jacket w/ brass buttons and maroon sash across the front that says UMass, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, and shako (?). The guard uniform is a red tunic w/ one black sheer sleeve, black pants, black shoes, and guard gloves.

Favorite Song to Play: uhm....I don't play....but I love it when the tubas and low brass play Hey Baby. heart My favorite song to perform to so far is In the Stone (LHS 2006 season first tune), both show and parade variations.
Interests: Guard, band (duh), art (yep, I'm an art major), books (especially fantasy w/ a lil romance and historical fiction), anime/manga, computers, band parties (YEAH! heart ), and uh......shopping and food, I guess. 4laugh

I miss home right now, and I'm extremely disappointed I'm not in band anymore (UMass's guard is waaaaaayyyy more advanced than LHS's! I gotta take some time off and catch up first). I've been spinning for 2 years, and among LHS's guard, I'm very good. Actually, I went to their band camp earlier this month to help out, and ended up teaching drill (even tho I was learning it the same time they were! lolz) heart And I'll be doing UMass's version of winterguard this year (Color in the Cage!) heart
