As you started walking, you spotted scratch marks on the trunks of the trees. Someone has been here-- fought something.

Magnolia rubbed the top of her head sheepishly, blinking twice at the fact something felt missing. Ignoring the loss of an uncanny feature of hers, she peered down at the suspicious and crude doodle of a map. The cartographer could've used a few lessons in drawing, but besides that, it certainly pointed towards a mystery. Despite all of the dangers it probably led to, Magnolia shrugged and decided to tag along with the others heading in its direction.
Rho rolled his eyes. Humans were such fickle idiots.
The fourteen year old's pink eyes flicked up and she noticed a feature on the trunk of a tree. Rushing up to it, she gave her amateur sleuthing skills a try and deducted in a single statement. "Someone has been here -- fought something." Of course, such an affirmation was made in the before post, but the girl simply vocalized it ICly. "I wonder what happened . . . ?"

Seppucrow flapped ahead as David followed after him. "Well at least an obvious trap that will likely lead to a battle that nobody is very much going to like having to go through, don't you think?" he asked whoever was listening.

The next tree had a splatter of blood across it. Well, that doesn't bode well. Why do you continue walking?

A map? How did that miss that until now? Michelle shrugged a bit then followed the group. If it was a trap then it was likely Remy and her would share their first battle together.
When they got to the blood spattered tree she gave it a wide eyed look and walked around it, making sure to leave plenty of room between her and it. "Is that fresh blood?" she asked no one in particular.

Magnolia retched at the sight of blood, covering Rho's eyes despite his protests. "W-What is this . . . Are we nearing a murder s-scene?" she stammered in fear.

Remmy was getting scare. He didn't like this at all. He grab Squeeks and held him close to his chest. Squeeks was also getting scare about this too but he had to be brave for the both of them. He look around to see what other where doing but said nothing.

Map? Sienna had been lost in thought and towards the back of the group this whole time, so she didn't have any idea of what was happening. There were whispers about the letters, the map that apparently they were following...Scratches on the trees. Okay, no big deal right? That could've been anything....Blood splattered on a tree. Skylar was shaking like a leaf on top of her head, maybe she should return him to his pokeball. She could probably defend herself if she needed to.

The third tree. They knew they were on the right track because there was more evidence of a battle.

The damage and evidence of a battle tripled upon Magnolia's approach to another tree. Her eyes glided to the canopy, which, if she were just happened to be passing by, would've guessed to have been torn asunder by a storm rather than the aftermath of a battle. Touching its trunk, the girl bowed her head and tried to harden her nerves with a thick swallow. What more laid up ahead?

"Face-tats...yeah, that's original......" He rolled his eyes as he continuo walking. "...Hmmm......How long ago did all this happen?" He gave a little wave to his ditto, who turned into a large houndoom. "Oh definitely a trap.....we are so dead we might as well just tell our pokemon to kill us. It would merciful."

The fourth and last tree. The place indicated was just up ahead. The terrain thickened with shrubbery the closer you got, blocking whatever it was from being easily spotted. Do you really want to continue?

Erika shrugged at Gepardo's comment. "Eh." Ignoring Blaire's protests that she not disturb the bushes, Erika simply brute forced her way into the foliage.

There was the last sign: the fourth and final tree. Behind it, the forest thickened with waist-high shrubbery that seemed to rise taller the more one ventured further. Sight of what lay ahead seemed impossible unless someone swallowed their fear and decided to see for themselves. Swallowing her resolve (and all last bits of her sanity), Magnolia followed after Erika.
She patted Rho's head upon doing so, calming with a soft, "N-No reason to be scared, Rho. We'll be all right."
On the contrary, Rho wasn't as scared as she expected him to be. In actuality, she was the one trembling. Say that to yourself, the Glameow thought. You're shaking worse than a leaf on a windy day.
