DAILY CHANCESophie eyed the special pom with a frown and pursed lips. She watched it for a good 10 minutes, studying its movement patterns. Finally, her hand shot into the lake and fingers wrapped around its wiggling body. This time, her other hand came in too and she locked her fingers around it.
Her prize was pulled out of the water and she dropped it into the fish bowl next to her. Great success. SN: Lolly (wheezing)

Now that it was a different day, Elium was back at the pond. This time, he'd have better luck--probably. He crouched at the water's edge, tipping his hat back out of his vision before scanning the pond for any poms that looked like they were going to come up soon.
And there was one, right there. He made a grab for it, hoping that he didn't smack it or anything--but his caution was his undoing. He came close to securing the minipet, but it just barely slipped out of his grasp. The pom swam down to the bottom again in a flurry of orange, and Elium gave a short huff.
