Oddly enough, this only made me want to play scrabble. And I've never much cared for the game.

Lol. I would have, had my family not cheated... and gave me all letters I couldn't ever use in combination with each other. I SWEAR they arranged them so that I'd lose. Little brothers are buggers.

Man... I don't want to wait another week for the Mortal Kombat demo.
Damn you, PS3 users!

I think the only MK game I've ever liked was UMK3. That and Shaolin Monks, but I don't count that since it's not a fighter.
I've learned to view fighting games from a competitive standpoint, and as far as depth of gameplay and balance goes none of the Mortal Kombat games are really up to par with other games like Virtua Fighter(quite possibly the deepest fighters ever made), Street Fighter(particularly 3rd Strike), Guilty Gear, King of Fighters, Tekken, or even MvC2(what this game lacks in balance it certainly makes up for by being one of the deepest fighters ever made).
Though, as my friend likes to point out, Mortal Kombat is the best crappy fighting game series out there. But really, anything is better than Dead or Alive.

@sage LOL thanks for telling us. i was like 8'8...250!?!
burning_eyes
@bunit lol oh ok
and this mortal kombat looks real nice. The x ray moves make me cringe every time i see them..especially goro's. Sf4 i like to think im pretty good at, virtual fighter..i tried to play that and the amount of moves...on the left side blew me away. with mvc3 i can't seem to get into the flow. i'll go into mission/training, practice for a min or two, get bored, don't get better turn off system:/
The only thing with mk so far is the announcer.i wans the mk4 back when he said "finish him/her" and laughing when you got uppercut/grabbed

My family is obsessed with scrabble. Every family gathering we see a game of scrabble going on. Personally I am more of the Risk persuasion, with some great memories playing the game.

I love Risk. Hardcore. We used to play it when I worked security at the dorms, because the games took so long, and the job was a cush sort of deal. I always took over Africa first... and somehow they didn't realize how strong I was getting until it was too late. You'd think they'd have learned.. I'm the blue.

Wow, I usually rolled with Australia. It started with a good strategy of using a small continent and grow from there. I once had half the planet and got into a Cold War stalemate with my cousin.

I've had many epic battles over Risk...
I usually lost because I had no clue what I was really doing. >.>

Best strategy for me was to start small, then work from there. And then work like a virus, infect the nations with your forces.
