Arielle Shore
"Well that's a relief," Ulises said with a smile, "Well, I think my brother and I overstayed our welcome here. Now that we know that the peace has been restored, we're going to go back so I can kick his butt in telling him that the German soccer team is better than England."
"As if," Eneas scoffed with a snort, "How many times do I have to tell you that those European countries have nothing against the Asian soccer teams. And not only that, but don't leave out our Hispanic background either. Soccer was basically made for them, and baseball."
Ulises rolled his eyes and lead his brother back to where they were hearing, their conversation still heard and the debate heating up once again. It could only leave those who remained wondering just how many times that this happened at Maria's household.
"Those two," Arielle said with a small smirk, leaning her head on Kedrick's shoulder, "They're definitely a comic duo." She kept herself from glancing back in the direction that both of her friends had disappeared off to, knowing that they would be fine. With a small sigh, she looked up at Kedrick and then his sisters, who had been quiet most of the time, especially Kyla. "So.. We good with our little trip for seconds and refills?"
Please don't, Maria begged in her mind, keeping herself from uttering those words from her lips. She didn't want him to feel pity for her, but she knew she needed to calm down and relax. She knew that he was telling the truth, and now that he knew about her temper, he knew what to expect, just as she did for his temper.
She wanted to ask him why he sounded and even looked so sad. She held onto his hand, a very small and soft smile appearing on her face. She loved him so much and she knew it so well. There was nothing in the world that would keep him from her or vice versa. She opened her eyes, unaware that she had closed them. "You don't have to tell me to trust you, Dimitri," Maria mentioned kindly, never letting go of his hand, "Because I already do... I've always trusted you Dimitri."
Maria finally let go of his hand and wrapped her arms around him a soft hug, her head leaning on his chest so that he could hear his heartbeat vibrate in her ears. "Thank you so much, Dimitri," Maria said, "I'm glad that you're going to stick with little ol' me. Guess I'm really that special if you can stick with me?" She looked up at him and her usual teasing smirk was back on her face before her smile softened. "I love you too Dimitri. No matter what happens to us, I'll always love you, on my word as a Vázquez and because I truly know that."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick smiled slightly and waved to Maria's brothers "See you guys....later..." He finished with a frown, seeing that they were already deep in another conversation about sports. He shrugged and turned back to Arielle, his smile back in place.
Athena and Kyla looked up from where they had been seated at a table, just behind the conversation. Arielle could see now that the only reason Kyla had been quiet was because she had been too busy eating to talk. The young girl now lay, with her head on the table, a contented smile on her face, and crumbs on her cheeks and lap.
Athena smiled and shook her head in disbelief at her kid sister. "I'm almost done with my food, Kyla's been done for a while now, I think she overstuffed herself.
"No...I could eat more." Kyla moaned quietly, lifting her head a bit before setting it back on the table top.
"I don't think you'd better." Kedrick cautioned, reaching down and ruffling her short, tousled hair. "You'll make yourself sick." Thoughtfully, Kedrick looked around at the rest of the party. "Looks like things are finally winding down here." He said with a small, quiet smile. The party had been so much fun, he had loved meeting Maria's family, spending time with his own sister, and being able to interact with so many of the men from Mr. Vázquez police force to whom he own his life. But now, it was time to go home, and relax, maybe even prepare for a camping trip. He could see Sakimi helping to pack up some of the food and he was glad she was leading a hand. People where beginning to move around and fold up chairs, and Kedrick wondered again how thing were going between Maria and Dimitri. Dimitri smiled as she wrapped her arms around him, lying her head on his chest and he felt warmth run though his veins from where she was touching him. He gazed at her seriously as she spoke, and his smile softened as well. "No matter what happens." He repeated quietly, stroking her hair gently, feeling the smooth strands slid between his fingers. "That my girl..." He said, carefully tipping her chin up with one hand. Dimitri hesitated slightly, and then leaned in, kissing her gently, enjoying the feeling of her warms lips against his.
For those few moment, Dimitri let everything fade away, every worry that she'd leave him, and every though of his past disappeared. All he knew was that he loved her more than anything, and he wanted to keep her safe, and happy.
Reluctantly, Dimitri pulled back, his forehead still touching her's and their lips still brushed as he spoke. "You know..." He said quietly. "They'll probably be worrying about us by now." He said with a weak smile, straightening up a bit. The young man took her hand gently. "What do you say we head back now..."

Arielle Shore
Maria wanted to thank Dimitri over and over again. She was very appreciative for him cheering her up. She knew that Arielle would've done the same exact thing and done as great of a job as well, but just having Dimitri reassure her about her fears made her feel better. She felt a shy smile creep onto her face as Dimitri had called her his girl because it was something she remembered her father telling her when she was younger and had lost her temper before. After her father's lecture, Maria would do her best to do better from before and her father would always say, 'That's my girl'.
Just like Dimitri, her previous worried mind state was set on stand by as Dimitri kissed her. She moved in closer to him and wished that there was more that she could say, more that she could show to let him know how much she loved him. I'm so lucky to have you, Dimitri, Maria thought, feeling herself smile into the kiss.
She didn't want the kiss to end. She never wanted a moment with Dimitri to end. They were just too perfect, too magical for her to let go. She felt her body tingle at how close Dimitri was, his lips slightly tickling her own as he spoke against her lips. Maria couldn't help but admit that he was right, but she didn't want to go back, not yet. She could tell from the time of day that people would be heading home soon and that she would be away from Dimitri again. Still, we have been gone for awhile, Maria thought, sighing and giving Dimitri a small smile, holding onto his hand. "Fine, fine," Maria said with a playful pout.
"Is it really that time already?" Arielle asked as she looked around, noticing that people were already finishing up their meals and helping along with setting the chairs up and putting them away. She even saw Maria's family and her grandparents helping in decide who takes what food home. "Where did the time go?" she asked, almost in a whisper. She was glad that everything went well, despite the small amounts of drama, everyone had fun.
As Arielle scouted her eyes in the direction in which Dimitri and Maria had went off to, she finally saw the two of them emerging, a relieved sigh escaped from her lips. "I'd thought they'd never come back," Arielle murmured before looking back at Kedrick.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri smiled and squeezed her hand gently. "Alright, let's go then." He said, lifting a low hanging branch up out of their way and stepping under it, still having to duck his head slightly.
The young couple stepped out into the bright sunlight, out of their secluded spot among the old apple trees. Dimitri had subconsciously begun to think of it as 'He and Maria's special place' not so much as a piece of Kedrick's property anymore. Dimitri walked over to where Kedrick and Arielle stood, and he smiled at them cheerily. "We're back, nice to see you all again." He joked lightly. "Hi yourself." Kedrick said with a grin. "I was beginning to think something had eaten you." He said, joking right back with his friend.Dimitri snorted. "No, but I may just have to buy that old apple orchard from you." He replied, in all seriousness. He noted his friends confused looked and broke out into a smile. "You know what, never mind." He said, glancing around at the clean-up that was happening around the small group. "Looks like things are coming to a close here." He commented mildly.Kedrick nodded his agreement, putting an arm around Arielle's shoulder and leaning over a bit. "You know, I think we ought to go claim some left over food before it all disappears." He said, his smiled widening slightly.
Kedrick was very, very glad that things had worked out all right for Maria and Dimitri, it had looked pretty ugly there for a while. The only thing that worried him now was how angry Maria still was with her brothers. But then again, he knew from experienced that anger at siblings eventually past, even if you didn't consciously forgive each other. He had been in countless fights with Sakimi, and even some of his younger siblings at times, but they had always come around and stopped being angry. Kedrick hoped that that's how things would work out for Maria, Eneas and Ulises. ((This is pretty terrible...sorry DX ))

"Like anything could eat us," Maria said with a smirk, "I don't taste good and Dimitri's not plump enough to be a satisfactory meal. Unless you secretly have some monster hiding in your house somewhere." She looked at Dimitri, knowing that at some point he would comment about the joke about his size and she only smiled sweetly at him, trying to look as innocent as she could be.
Arielle giggled, glad to know that all was well again and nodded, following behind him. It saddened her to see everyone have to leave, but like every good thing, it had to come to an end at some point. She looked over at the table, wondering what exactly she should keep for Kedrick and herself before she needed to go shopping again. It still looks pretty crowded at the table, Arielle thought, And I definitely don't know what I want to keep for Kedrick and I to eat.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri looked over at Maria as she spoke, listening intently. His shoulders sagged as she mentioned his weight, or lack there of. He sighed in quiet frustration, looking at her darkly. "Thanks Maria, I appreciate your thoughtfulness." He said, his voice positively dripping with sarcasm. Kedrick snickered slightly. "You know what, it looks a bit crazy over there." He said, gesturing to the table that people where now crowded around. "You girls stay here where it's safe, Dimitri and I'll grab some stuff. Don't worry Maria, I sure someone from your family grabbed some stuff to take home." He said with a smile, and gave Dimitri a 'follow me' wave. Dimitri nodded his head in agreement and gave Maria's hand a small squeeze before he let go. With Kedrick slightly ahead of him, Dimitri made his way over to the table that was surrounded by people. He frowned slightly as he was jostled a bit to the side, but the two friends managed to find a small hole in the crowd. The pushed their way in and stood at the edge of the table. Dimitri took a Styrofoam box off of the top of the stack that sat at the end of the table and began filling it with food. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Kedrick was doing likewise. After a short time, the two boys made their way back to where Maria and Arielle were standing. "We're back." Kedrick said with a smile, lifting the box to show that they had been successful in their mission."And it looks like it's time for me to be going." Dimitri said as a follow up to Kedrick last statement. Dimitri was sorry to leave, it was so much fun to spend time here at his 'second home' with Kedrick and Arielle and Maria. But undoubtedly it was time to go, the thought that made it less difficult to leave was that they'd be getting together again soon. Dimitri planed on called Kedrick up later that same evening and working out camping planes with him.
He smiled and walked closer to Maria. "See you again soon?" He asked with a small smile, his head canted slightly to the side. She was the one he didn't want to leave the most.

"Glad it was appreciated," Maria replied with a sweet smirk before laughing, holding onto Dimitri's arm and smiling at him. "Don't be so sarcastic with me~. You know I was joking, right? Especially since I wouldn't tease you about your size like my ridiculous older brothers. And speaking of which, I've got to start planning my revenge on those two."
Arielle giggled at Maria, glad to know that she was acting like the anger episode never happened. She looked over to the crowd and nodded, even though she didn't think the number of people were that bad, but she thanked the boys for going over there and getting them food.
"I'm pretty sure the only food they'd bring home is whatever's left over from what your grandparent made, Ari," Maria commented after the boys walked away, "And if not, we've got enough food at home. I'm positive that we don't need to bring home any leftovers."
"That may be true, but your brothers definitely will have a total impulse to bring some leftovers back with them to where they go to college," Arielle responded with a small smile, "Especially since you know how weak their stomachs are."
Maria nodded and looked up to see the boys return from their journey for their food. Knowing that Dimitri was back only made her realize that he would soon be leaving for the day, and that saddened her just a bit. She smiled at him and nodded, placing a hand on his cheek and kissing him softly. "Definitely...," Maria answered quietly, almost as if she was sharing a secret with him. "Have a good evening, Dimitri."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri smiled as she placed her hand on his cheek, feeling his skin tingle slight under her soft touch. He placed his hand over her's, felling the warmth of her hand on his cheek. The dark hair boy felt a shiver run up his spine as she kissed him and he was hardly even aware that Kedrick was watching the two of them with a small smile. Dimitri figured it didn't matter too much, after all, he had seen Kedrick kiss Arielle plenty of times. But he still found himself blushing slightly as he pulled back from her, letting his fingers slid from hers, but still letting his other hand linger on her arm. "After that how could I not?" He asked with a soft laugh.
Dimitri turned slightly, smiling at Arielle and Kedrick. "As for you two." He said with a smirk. "I'll be seeing you both pretty soon as well huh?" He asked, cocking his head to the side, the smirk still lingering on his lips. Kedrick snorted as though he couldn't believe that Dimitri had doubted it. "Definitely." He replied simply, nodding his head once. Dimitri nodded as well. "Alright then." He said, stepping over and giving Arielle a quick hug. He pulled back and tousled her hair in a kind of brotherly gesture. "Take care you." He joked lightly, and then turned to Kedrick, hugging him as well. "I'll call you later tonight to talk camping plans with you okay? Don't forget!" He prompted, not wanting his friend to get wrapped up in something else. Kedrick raised his hands quickly in a show of surrender. "Okay, okay! I won't forget, don't worry." He said, laughing quietly under his breath. Dimitri nodded suspiciously, although he knew Kedrick could tell he was just joking. "Okay...if you promise..." He said slowly, eying Kedrick closely though half closed eyes. Kedrick smiled. "I promise." He said, holding up one hand in a 'scouts honor' kind of reference. "Don't get you're self all worked up, you still have to drive home, I might remind you." Dimitri smiled at his friend's concern and shook his head. "Fine, I'll see all you guys later." He turned, and paused in front of Maria once more. Every time he looked at her he swore his heart stopped, and suddenly leaving with the farthest thing from his mind. He smiled at her, his mind far away as he got lost in her eyes. Dimitri shook his head quickly, clearing his mind and bringing himself back down to planet earth. "Good night then." He murmured quietly, pecked her gently on the lips and slipped past her.
At the corner of the house, Dimitri turned once more to wave back to the three of them, and then walked around the corner, disappearing from their view.

Maria smiled, a faint blush of her own appearing on her face. She wasn't sure if she had already noticed that his blush made him look cute, but even if she did, she knew that would never change no matter how many times she saw it. "Well that makes me feel good," Maria said with soft smile as he let her hand fall back to her side.
"I do hope so, Dimitri," Arielle said with a giggle, doing her best to fix her hair, "And don't worry. I don't think I'll get into anymore trouble." She watched as the two boys talked about the camping plans, or the talk to plan about their plans for their camping trip, and Arielle was definitely excited for it. Especially with the nice fall weather reaching its peak before going into the winter. And then there will be such wonderful snow, she thought with a grin appearing on her face.
Like her friend, Maria observed the boys conversation and was excited about the camping trip as well. It would be her first time going camping with her friends and boyfriend and first time going camping from six years ago. She knew that they were all going to have a wonderful time, and she had a feeling that there was hardly anything that could possibly go wrong with their plans and fun.
As Dimitri returned back over to her, she had to control this urge to cling onto him and ask him not to go. She knew that he had to go home, and if she did that, Eneas and Ulises would tease her over and over again. He felt his eyes peering into hers and she couldn't help but look back, a soft smile on her face. Her body shivered as he kisses her quickly before he left. She was hardly able to get a "Good night" out of her lips, but she was sure that Dimitri knew she would've said it. She waved back at him, a brighter smile on her face, but still couldn't diminish how much she already missed him. Soon..., was all she thought as she glanced back at her friends.
"Well, that definitely was some kind of barbeque, no?" Arielle asked with a cheerful grin, her arms wrapping themselves around Kedrick after saying goodbye to Dimitri. "You think your family and your father's men are going to need help getting back?"
Maria snorted, finding Arielle's question ridiculous and shook her head lightly. "Don't worry. I think we'll be fine, but thanks for asking."

Kedrick smiled, watching as his friend disappeared around the corner of the house. Vaguely he heard a car engine start and the crunch of gravel under tires. Kedrick looked down as Arielle wrapped her arms around him and his smiled, placing a hand on her shoulder. He glanced up after a moment, tossing his sandy blond hair out of his eyes, seeing his oldest sister making her way towards them. "Sakimi." He called with a smile, catching her gaze.
Sakimi smirked thinly, pulling to a stop in front of the small group. "Hey," She said, placing a hand on her hip. "The gang and I are getting ready to pull out okay?" She prompted.
Kedrick nodded his head in understanding. "Okay, make sure they all find their way over, I want to say good bye to everyone. "
Sakimi nodded. "Right. I planed on going to round everyone up right now. I'll be back." She said, turning on her heel, her fine black hair whipping behind her. She returned a few minutes later looking a bit more frustrated. She was followed by Athena, who had Kyla clutching her leg, Keira and Gwen, who where quietly bickering between themselves, and Raine, who clutched little Terra's hand like a lifeline. "Finally." Sakimi breathed, running her fingers though her hair to compose herself. "You can't imagine how hard it id to get all of these wild animals to stay in one place!"
Athena smiled patiently at her sister. "We weren't that disagreeable!" She argued good naturedly.
"Want to bet?" Sakimi grumbled, looking away from her.
Athena brushed her off and stepped up to Kedrick and Arielle, still dragging Kyla on her foot. "This has been great you guys!" She said excitedly, her pale face seeming to glow. "You need to do stuff like this more often, I love being here and spending time with you guys." She said with a smile.

Arielle Shore
While Sakimi went to go round up the rest of Kedrick's sisters, Arielle noticed her grandparents and Maria's family walking over to them, although taking their time so they didn't drop the food. Before she could call out any attention to the approaching newcomers, Arielle's attention was taken by the Suwa girls. Throughout the small amount of time that she knew Kedrick's sisters, she could already consider them family. And they basically are now, Arielle thought with a grin as she turned her attention to Athena with Kyla clinging onto her foot.
"I totally agree," Maria said with a bright grin, "We can't let Kedrick keep you to himself all the time like you're some kind of precious jewel. We don't need him to go all Gollum on us. But seriously, we've got to plan more big events. Maybe every holiday and birthdays, and even just days to celebrate!"
"Now you're starting to go overboard dear," Mrs. Fields said with a gentle smile, "But leave it to your daughter to act like this, Vincente." She looked at Maria's father with a playful smile, which only brightened when he laughed in response.
"My wife and I do have quite a number on our hands, don't we?" Mr. Vázquez asked with his own joking grin before looking at Kedrick, Arielle, and Kedrick's sisters. "It was wonderful seeing you again Kedrick, and a pleasure meeting your wonderful sisters as well. My family and I had a wonderful time with you all."
"And it's always a pleasure to be in your company, Mr. Vázquez," Arielle replied sweetly, "I hope Kedrick and I will have the pleasure of coming over to visit, right?"
"Are you kidding me?" Ulises asked with a grin, "You and your future husband are always welcomed in our lovely abode. And make sure you bring our future brother in law with you too. Can't leave him out can we?"
Maria just rolled her eyes at her brothers but smiled, glad to know that her family completely approved of Dimitri. The only thing she needed to work on were the things that come out of her brother's mouths. This will be long process indeed, she thought with a small smirk.

Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Always...
Kedrick smiled as Arielle's grandparents and the rest of Maria's family approached, completing their group, which had grown quite a bit. When Dimitri had left, it had just been he, Maria and Arielle. Now all his sisters where here along with the addition of Maria's family and Arielle's grandparents.
Kedrick's grin widened and his made a face at Maria as she mentioned not needing him to go all Gollum on them. He stuck out his tongue and then laughed to himself at the silliness of it all. Kedrick blushed slightly at Ulises's comment about 'future husband' but he shook it away with a smile, glad that they where welcome anytime in the Vázquez's home. "Oh course we'll come to visit." He confirmed with a nod of his head. "And don't worry, I don't think Dimitri'll need much of an excuse to come see you guys, and Maria again." He added, glancing over at Maria out of the corner of his eye. He wanted to see how she reacted to this, but Kyla caught his attention first.
"Hey. hey!" She said, leaning over from where she still sat on Athena's foot and tugging on Kedrick's pant leg. "Hey Kedrick, are you really gonna marry Arielle?" She asked, her eyes bright with curiosity and mischief.
"Uhh..." Kedrick hesitated, blushing again. "Well..." He said, crouching down in front of Kyla, who was now grinning impishly at the redness in Kedrick's face. The young man smiled nervously. "Someday, I'm sure." He said, and then reached out to tousle Kyla's hair. "But Arielle and I still need to finish high school and college before we can start thinking about that." He said with a smile. Kedrick knew that he and Arielle technically could get married before, or even during college. But things where crazy enough at that stage of life that to add trying to figure out married life on top of it might be more that could be easily handled. But then again, he was willing to wait that long for Arielle, she was definitely worth it.
"That long?" Kyla asked, sounding a bit disappointed.
Kedrick straightened. "It's not that long Kyla, in fact if you think about it, it's not that long at all." He said cheerfully.
"When you're eleven it is..." She mumbled darkly, looking down at the ground in mock-sulkiness.
Sakimi walked over to Kyla and grabbed her under the arms, hauling her up off of Athena's foot with a sequel of protest. "Okay, enough of that, it's time to load up and get back home." She said matter-of-factly.
Athena turned to her quickly, grasping her sister's free hand. "Oh Sakimi! Do we have to go now?" She pleaded, brushing a stray peice of hair back from her face.
"I hate to be a party pooper, but yeah." She said, setting Kyla down, and motioning for the other. "Okay guys, say your 'good byes', we're heading out." As she said this Kedrick's sister moved forward to say good bye.
Kedrick smiled, giving hugs, and kisses, and gentle tweaks on the nose. He was sorry to see them go, be he got the feeling he'd be seeing them again before to long. "Okay," He said, addressing them as a group. "Take care you guys, be good for Sakimi, and I'll see you again soon." Kedrick paused, looking over at Athena specifically. "You take care not to get sick again right?" He prompted.
Athena nodded her agreement. "Right." she said and then turned to Arielle, giving her a tight hug. "Oh, it was good to see you again Arielle," She said, looking slightly up at her. "We need to get other for our 'girl's day out' soon hm?" She said, and then pulled back, looking at Maria. "And Maria, it's been wonderful meeting you, I hope I can see you again soon." She said with a smile.
Sakimi smirked. "Alright crew, to the van." She said, and then stepped over to Kedrick, having stayed back from the group 'good bye' a bit. "See you later Kedrick," She said in her usual, dry tone, but the smirk still played on her lips. She looked between Arielle and Maria. "you too girls." She said, and then turned and followed the rest of the group out towards the front of the house, raising a hand in a last good bye as she turned the corner.
Kedrick smiled to himself, and then looked back up at Mr and Mrs. Vázquez, and Eneas, Ulises, and Mr and Mrs. Fields. "Thank you all for coming." He said with a smile, "Make sure to drive safely on the way home okay?"

Arielle Shore
Maria smiled and rolled her eyes gently at Kedrick’s comment about Dimitri coming over her family’s home. She couldn’t deny that he was wrong, and she was sure that now that her parents met him, they would want to open up to him more an accept him into the family. Even her two older brothers wanted to do so, despite the fact that they would probably mess with him the entire time he was there. But she knew that her brothers would quit the act and try to include him into their group of teasing and smart sarcastic comments.
She was appreciative at the fact that Kyla had distracted Kedrick from seeing her reaction, even though she knew he could just assume what her reaction was, but couldn’t help but feel surprised about the question she asked. Her eyes glanced at her best friend, who was slightly taken surprise by her question and could faintly see the signs of a blush appearing.
Arielle couldn’t help but feel just a little sad for the way Kyla responded to Kedrick’s answer. She knew that he was one hundred percent correct in what he said, and knew that probably Kyla’s excitement clouded her understanding of the reality of something like marriage could be to herself and Kedrick. She smiled faintly as Kedrick attempted to cheer up Kyla, agreeing with what he said. Even if it seemed like such a long time with to her, the time will slip away faster than she expected it to be. Don’t worry Kyla, she thought with a small smile, Patience is a good thing. Besides, we wouldn’t make you wait forever.
Like Athena, Arielle was slightly upset that Sakimi now had to usher the rest of her siblings away, but she knew it was coming anyway. She watched as the girls surrounded Kedrick with hugs, kisses, and all the love that siblings could share. Again she smiled when Kedrick asked Athena to try not to get sick, hoping that such a thing would remain true. As Athena came to talk to her, she smiled and nodded, expressing the same happiness that her friend showed.
“Don’t worry about that,” Maria said with a bright grin, “After this camping trip, you, me, and Arielle are going to have the best girls day out ever. We’ll go shopping, and shopping, and shopping~!”
“Oh Maria,” Arielle giggled, gently shoving her friend. She knew that if anyone had to make a comment such as that, it would always be Maria. “Maria and I will definitely be looking forward to that though, Athena,” Arielle continued with a warm smile. Before she could say anything else, Sakimi began to usher her sisters away to the van they came in. She waved goodbyes to them and smiled gently at Sakimi, nodding her head in agreement. She was so tempted to ask Kedrick when they could go back over to his home, but she knew there were other guests to attend to. Once Sakimi was out of sight, as well as the rest of the Suwa girls, she returned her undivided attention to her grandparents and Maria’s family.
“Oh it was nothing, dearie,” Mrs. Fields said with a smile, “We’re glad that we were able to spend such a wonderful Saturday with you all. And it was such a wonderful experience to finally see the place, which is just absolutely beautiful, if I must say, where our sweet Arielle was staying at.”
“And this was definitely a celebratory feast my men needed for handling that Jonesy situation,” Mr. Vázquez added with a nod, “I’m very thankful as well as grateful with the time and effort that all of you put into this barbeque.”
“Thank you so much, Mr. Vázquez,” Arielle responded with a nod, “I’m glad every one of you had a great time today. It was wonderful seeing all of us in one place. And please do drive safely when you go back home.”
“Don’t worry about a thing, sugar,” Mr. Fields said with a smile to his granddaughter as he walked over to her and hugged her, before being joined by her grandmother. Nothing had been said, but there was a feeling of overwhelming gratefulness within the three that they were able to still be together as a family.
“I’ll make sure to lead the way so no one gets lost,” Maria said with a small smile before looking at her parents with a confused look. “Why are you both looking at me like that?”
“We never said you could drive us back home, Maria,” Mrs. Vázquez commented with a light laugh, “And don’t even protest because I know what you were thinking. Don’t think that I don’t know your mind after raising you for seventeen years.”
Maria looked away with a slightly embarrassed blush while Eneas and Ulises chuckled softly between one another. After Arielle and her grandparents were done hugging each other, there was more hugging and goodbyes from Arielle’s grandparents and Maria’s family between all that were present. When all of that was done, everyone except for Maria headed back to the cars they came in.
“You two take care, alright?” Maria asked, giving one final hug to both Arielle and Kedrick, “I know everything’s fine now that Jonesy’s out of the picture, but still…”
“Don’t worry, Maria. I know without a doubt that Kedrick will make sure nothing like that ever happens to me again,” Arielle said, confidence ringing in her voice.
Maria smiled and playfully punched Kedrick’s shoulder and messing with Arielle’s hair with the other. “Alright guys. I’ll see you lovebirds later. Thanks again for today and see you both later.” She waved at the two of them before jogging lightly to her family’s van, getting in and closing the door. Her family’s van was in front of Arielle’s grandparents’ car as they drove off the estate.
Arielle walked up to the front so that she could watch everyone else leave, noticing how almost empty the estate was now that everyone had to go home. She turned to Kedrick and smiled softly at him. “Today was definitely a wonderful day, no?”
(Finally! The post is here 8D. I’m so sorry it took me forever to get this up, but I do hope you like it 8D.)

Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Always...
Kedrick smiled as Maria gave him a hug, and he hugged her back with a gentle squeeze. He looked over at Arielle, his smiles softening as she expressed so much confidence. He hope so much that he could live up to her trust in him, hoped that he wouldn't let her down. And that next time, if there was a next time, he'd be able to save her before she got hurt again. He waved one last time as Maria, like everyone else, disappeared around the corner of the house. Kedrick smiled at Arielle comment and he took her hand, squeezing it lightly. "Yeah...it sure was..." He was sad to see everyone go, but at the same, He couldn't imagine a better way to end such a perfect afternoon.
It was little more than a week later. Kedrick and Dimitri had stayed up late talking on the phone for many nights and making plans for the long awaited camping trip. Dimitri had gotten a space reserved at the campsite he had told them about and they had spent many days with the girls gathering all the supplies that they would need.
It was now about nine o'clock on a Saturday morning and Kedrick stood with his elbow rested on the hood of the car. The trunk was open, and it was packed to it's fullest capacity full of all their stuff, including the two tents from Kedrick's attic, and numerous plastic totes and dufflebags of supplies. The young man sighed contentedly, looking up at the sky, which was the clearest blue he had seen in a long time. It was the perfect definition of an Indian summer. There had been a few days in the recent past that it had been cold, but the sun had come out and now the sun, and the breeze that rustled though the red and gold leaves was warm. The scent of drying grass and the heavy perfume from the front garden made Kedrick feel sleepy as he waited for Arielle. The car was ready to go and it had simply been a matter of grabbing the last bag out of the hallway. He sighed softly, straightening a little bit and smiling. "Arielle!" He called in the direction of the house. "You should see the sky today! It looks amazing~!" Kedrick could hardly wait to get out the driveway. Dimitri and Maria would be meeting them at the campsite, and then the real fun would begin.
    By your side...

Arielle Shore
A week had passed since the barbeque, and as the week continued to go on, Arielle's excitement for the big camping trip grew. She had spent most of the time making sure they had everything they needed for the trip. She even made sure to go to a few camping stores and get some advice about what she and her friends needed to do to stay safe out in the wild. She could never truly express how frightened out she was about the whole tick thing, but of course he calmed her down.
When the day finally came, she knew that she and Kedrick had everything packed up and ready to go, but she wanted to make sure of it. She checked to make sure that the food that they had in the kitchen wouldn't expire on them when they came back, that their rooms and bathrooms were straightened up and comfortable so it would be something nice to come home to, and she made sure she had a first aid kit. While she went to get her traveling backpack, she heard Kedrick call her name, mentioning something about seeing the sky. She didn't respond, not at that moment, and made one last check over sweep before leaving the house and closing the door.
She took a couple of steps towards the car and turned around, looking up at the sky and gasping. "Wow," she said in awe, "You're absolutely right... The sky looks absolutely beautiful~." She turned to look at him with a smile, "All set?"
